This is one of my favourite scenes in the series. Surely General Von Klinkerhoffen would've recognized the Colonel and Hans? Bloody lucky they weren't caught lol. And I applaud Hans for having the guts to sing that Hitler song in front of the General. Probably one of Hans' last great moments before his send off in the next episode.
I'm currently working my way through each of the series. Nearly finish both volumes of Series 5 so far. I want to treat myself to the final 4 series soon. I'm hooked on this show, such genius writing. Never fails to make me laugh. This is one of my favourite scenes.
If you look at the people in the background, it seems that Hans' outburst wasn't planned at all when they prepared this shot... EPIC TV History, though :)
@mbitch123 Sam Kelly(The actor playing Hans) only wanted to make 3 seasons that was allways his plan and then do different things. But he has since stated that he regreted not continueing. I think he was in a few episodes of season 7 as a british inteligence officer, but it wasn't the same old Hans:(. Franchesca Gonshaw(Maria) also left after this episode i thought the dialog between her and Rene was very funny aswell and the fact that she spat so much:)
I will be forever sad, because we'd never know, if soldiers behind Sam - they're laughing - because it was scripted that way, or they just naturally bursted into giggles hearing Sam's singing :D
Ahh, such moments. If only British Industry could have been as successful as this. But now no-one really gets it. Give 'Allo 'Allo and Family guy to teens, and they'll chose the latter.
@axiumvids actually what they are putting up are the two fingers people used to need to use a bow (middle ages), poochers who were caught had those two fingers cut of. So as a mark of disrespect people put up those two fingers to the repressentatives of the goverment. It's when you put the palm of your hand outwards that you make a peace sign. When the palm of your hand is turned towards you it means disrespect.
@MartinezMKD actually theres a scene of herr flick in an SS sturmbahnfuhrer uniform that has te red arm band with swastika on it i believe the scene is somewhere on youtube. i believe the scene is called helgas wedding dress.
@Eruadhiel I was speaking generally. There are the sensible few who would choose like you. I know one friend who loves Fawlty Towers, but h won't try Blackadder or Allo Allo etc.
Posh version.....in 'Allo, 'Allo accent..... Heetlair 'as only got ze one testicule, ze ozzer is in Leeds Town 'All's vestibule, Eemlaire is similarly singulaire, but Rommel 'as an empty scrotal reticule.
Bro how the hell is this video from 2 years ago, but some comments are from freakin' 12 years ago. How the hell? Did they like private the video and then unprivated it?
@diannemcarthur So sorry. I forgot to put it up when I made the video. I'll have to look through all 9 seasons and check ever episode. I do NOT want to do that. And I'm currently lending them to my brother. So sorry :/
the song the guy was starting to sing was from some other movie where pow's were marching to there camps.. does anyone know what movie thats from i cant remember for the life of me
@Itakoshiann Kind of sad that most people wouldn't know the words for that song so they can't get the joke. All they now about it is that "it was in that movie" witch gives it kind of bad name. But then again, they couldn't realy sing it in a Hollywood movie.
I hope the NEVER remake this…but if they did I reckon sacha baron cohen would the only person to get close…and it wouldn’t be that close let’s be fair lol
"If this is the standard of British Airmen how could it happen that Goring lost the Battle Of Britain!!". 🤣🤣🤣 One can wonder!
There are a lot of great actors in this serie, but General Von Klinkerhoffen was a master at work. He was one of the best characters there for sure.
One of the best moments of the whole thing. The way Sam waits about 3 seconds before delivering the line is pure class.
"hitler has only got one" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i laughed for soo long and you can soo tell he is trying not to laught as he is about to sing it
And then the smirk from behind the tash. Brilliant.
1:12

Not necessarily but it was funny
Real spontanious laugh among the guys behind, after Hans's singing!! :DD
"Stop talking in ze ranks!"
"Up yours!"
I always felt sad during the end credits...never wanted the show to end.
I'm currently working my way through each of the series. Nearly finish both volumes of Series 5 so far. I want to treat myself to the final 4 series soon.

Pulls out gun *BANG*
Temper! Temper! Lol
Don't you just love the British humour and love of irony. When backs are to the wall there are none better.
"If dis is the standard of british airman, how could it happen=Goering lost the battle of britain?"
If you look at the people in the background, it seems that Hans' outburst wasn't planned at all when they prepared this shot... EPIC TV History, though :)
The British are freaking geniuses! hahaha God save England for providing such shows!
@mbitch123

Just like the real British. Jolly spirits and a good sense of humor. Especially between 0:21 and 0:34.
I will be forever sad, because we'd never know, if soldiers behind Sam - they're laughing - because it was scripted that way, or they just naturally bursted into giggles hearing Sam's singing :D

This show is a masterpiece
I am proud to be a cheapskate. I had to break down and buy the whole 10 years of this show on DVD because it is just so good.
@axiumvids
