I love how Trunks finished this saga with just a Super Saiyan 2 while Z Fighters needed Ultimate Gohan, fusions, Super Saiyan 3 and a spirit bomb
Well that's because:
1) Buu never got awakened because there were zero outright avoidable distractions or mistakes
2) Vegeta And Goku (mainly Vegeta) are at fault for awakening Buu because they are the ones that restored most of Buu's energy, without their fight- Trunks had more time.
3) Trunks was a very well trained warrior who never stopped training after his father Vegeta from the past timeline instilled that training regiment and discipline. OUR timeline Gohan stopped training while Trunks never did. Trunks never stopped training and knew how to train effectively thanks to his father unlike Future Gohan's training which remained very stagnant and never aimed to surpass the strength of his father.
Simply put- Trunks was not only built different thanks to his father's teachings- but its EXTREMELY IRONIC that the two main reasons Buu was awakened in our timeline was the incompetence of Vegeta (His father and 2nd mentor) and Gohan (His Adoptive Big Brother and 1st mentor).
Everyone built Trunks up to be better, and he took those lessons to heart.

@@DrunkOnline67It's what happened in Trunk's timeline, after he defeated the Androids and (Imperfect) Cell. Everyone else in his timeline was killed by the Androids, so when Babidi and Dabura showed up, Trunks was the only fighter for Supreme Kai to scout.
In DBS, this is the same Trunks who eventually faced Goku Black.

Ironically, when Future Trunks and Super Buu meet in battle when playing DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2, the former's first response was IIRC, "Who are you? You're not from my future." or something along those lines. It's been eons since I last played the game. 😅

That’s wrong. In order for a Sayian to become Super they need 3 things.
1. A high power level to support and control the transformation.
2. A high amount of s-cells generated in their body for the first transformation . To explain s-cells, they are what cause “the tingle” in the spinal colum for Sayians/hybrids. S-cells are generated when the body, mind and spirit of a Sayian are relaxed and at peace, they also generate when a Sayian forms social bonds. Normal Sayians before the destruction of Planet Vegeta could not have any real opportunities to generate a substantial amount of S-cells (outside of Broly (the legendary SSj)) as they existed in an almost constant state of mobilisation and fighting (either with each other or taking down foreign planetary armies). Plus it’s a given fact that all Sayians look down on each other in some way, shape or form. The Royal family looked down and disrespected everyone equally, the Elites (over a 4500+ PL minimum) looked down on the low class Sayians, and the Low class Sayians relentlessly picked on each other outside of their immediate team/social group (especially if they were weaker individuals). Earth would be a perfect s-cell generation ground for solo Sayians unburdened by their society as shown with both Goku and Vegeta (who spent a year at least relaxing before Frieza showed up again after Namek), with human hybrid’s generating S-cells faster due to their unique biology with living in a non-stressful and peaceful environment.
3. A high intensity physical trauma (in the case of Goten and Gohan, under immense stress of being potentially hurt for real, manage to trigger their transformations), Mental trauma (In Vegeta's case, upon the cusp of dying from a meteorite, mentally breaks down and ultimately manages to break through the hubris barrier weighing him down and thus gaining the transformation…and finally ultimately emotional trauma (where the act of seeing a loved one or friend be in great peril or die a final death like him Goku and Future Trunks did).
In all three cases an undeniable, UNYIELDING rage causes the S-cells to ignite and force the transformation. Normally Sayians cannot FEEL rage, they can get angry, but cannot understand the concept of burning hot justifiable rage due to their egotistical and arrogant pride. The only Sayian who got close to that concept before Goku did would had been Bardock, but since he didn’t have enough S-cells he only got a power boost and endurance micro-transformation that allowed him to fight on despite his life critical injuries.
However in order to achieve SSj2, one needs to:
1. Define, and refine one’s mind, body and spirit in order to achieve a singular goal (In case of Gohan and Future Trunks it was to save the world from a dire threat and maintain peace and hope everlasting.)
2. A powerful emotional trigger (Similar to SSJ) to break through the mental blocks containing the transformation the SSj2 transformation.
I like how the fandom likes to pretend that the U6 saiyans are the only ones who contradicted this... As if Goten, Kid Trunks didn't just turn ssj for no reason at all, no need OR desire.

Only gohan can be revived in that time line, he is the only one that died being a hero, the other z fighters just died in a horrible way and goku died by disease, so they can't be revived

This is stated in the manga that Supreme Kai killed Bibidi and left Buu dormant in his seal.

If future trunks' timeline had a little of sense the first thing Trunks should have asked to supreme kai after meeting him was to bring him to new namek and resurrect all his friends...
There might be a time limit on the dragon balls in how long you can wait after someone dies to wish them back. I mean there's a time limit for Earth's. But the buu threat happens pretty immediately without warning prior, and it also wouldn't wish back Goku because the Dragon Balls don't work on people who died of natural causes like disease.

Sooo...how exactly did trunk's future get saved in super? Cuz whis stated that if a supreme kai dies, the destroyer dies as well. But whis said he'll travel to before goku black in trunk's timeline and warn the beerus of that future of the catastrophe. Shouldnt beerus be dead by that point? Or am I missing a detail

Whis did NOT turn back time to save Beerus.

This only means that the Z-fighters could have saved the world without things escalating to the way they did in the Majin Buu Saga. Same thing with Frieza. It was unnecessary for things to escalate the way they did for the Cell Saga also. This demonstrates how wreckless Vegeta is, even Goku.
How unduly wreckless. And we champion these two? Goku didn’t get any stronger because of Majin Buu by holding back against Vegeta. Or succumbing to the fight against Supreme Kai’s wishes.

Vegeta’s senseless pride and impatience to settle things with Goku got in the way of everyone’s safety instead of promoting humanity’s security. Senseless. Stupid.
Goku refusing to finish off Frieza when Frieza killed his best friend Krillin. Senseless. Letting the situation with Namek escalate to where he almost didn’t survive. Had no time to get back to his ship. Foolish.

Gohan, witnessing his dad’s foolishness firsthand and striving to become like him, repeating his mistakes and shortcomings in the battle with Cell. I like Teen Gohan, but this is not his fault. He comes from a community of selfish warriors who despise all heed and warnings to safety work effectively.

If Goku had just simply taken the time to teach Gohan how to harness that energy at will (the one he tapped into briefly at the Hyperbolic Time Chamber) he wouldn’t have led the Z-fighters in the predicament they were in. Think of it, Gohan was about to defeat cell because his father, piccol-I mean, Goku - affirmed him for the first time that way. That was the key: “Father-Son Affirmation”. Gohan wouldn’t have needed to self-doubt, only to receive a pep talk from a dying Android 16. Affirmation, not just Anger, would have taught him to access that power: the one he used against Perfect Cell in the final energy crash against his Evil Kamehameha against the world - no . . . The Solar System and Every thing that is “Good”.

So this wasn't ever adapted into the anime because Toriyama had wrote an additional part into the dragon ball super manga at the beginning of the Goku Black Arc. This part of the story written to set up the Goku Black Arc with more context is the story you see in this video i made (which is gameplay from my live streams).
It is completely canon and written by Toriyama, but do to specific circumstances of when he wrote it- the anime didnt talk about it.
This is basically Future Trunks' Buu Saga- and takes place around 6 years after he beat 17 and 18 (and 3 years ago [3 years after the androids] he beat cell in his timeline too).
MANY dragon ball fans have no idea this Buu stuff happened to Trunks too and that there was an entire story behind it.
Basically this is adapted straight from dragon ball super and was written by Toriyama.
If you ever wondered why Trunks was a Super Saiyan 2 in the Goku Black Arc this is why.

Is it because the Z-Sword was turned to stone that Old Kai didn't emerge from the sword? I never understood this moment once it was revealed in Super..
Yeah, when the sword was hit it was permanently changed- unless someone has magic and are conscious and are able to undue the magic Dabura placed on the object before it gets destroyed (and this is a special case because normally all youd have to do is destroy Dabura to release the magic- but not this time). Though none of this could've happened because all the kais died and they were the only ones with magic.
When the sword was turned into stone it not only broke the sword but destroyed what was in the seal- Elder Kai.
People stating beerus would have been earased after the supreme Kai's death.
We still have 2 other kai, the elder kai is possibly gone since he lived in that sword. But Majin Buu is also technically a supreme kai if you think about it.
The Grand Supreme kai isn't linked to beerus.
When Supreme Kai (not Grand Supreme Kai) died in Trunks' timeline- Beerus died.
Super literally tells us this.

Super Saiyan 2 was enough for Dabura.
They brutally nerfed our guy Gohan in the original timeline.
Goku and Vegeta could have saved everything from happening too but the creators wanted to build a plot for entertainment so they made both of them to make bad choices.
Well Gohan stopped training for 6 years which is a very Gohan thing to do, and Vegeta wanted to fight Goku which is very in character too.
If Gohan had that same power he had as kid he would've won- it was a very weakened super saiyan 2.
@@RedLogicYT Anyone but Gohan could have fought Dabura. But Weakened Gohan will bring more twists to this. They could have also stopped them outside when piccolo turned into stone. But they missed their chances.
Vegeta went from a guy who never cared about other people in frieza and Android saga, to a guy who'd take his son to amusement park and have fun with the family, and again to a guy who wanted to lose all of this just so he can take his revenge even if it means to kill a dozens of people brutally, to again be a guy who'd selflessly destruct himself to save others. It's a twist of plot for entertainment to change this guy's character so often.
Esta escena es un poco absurda, ya que aqui Trunks domina perfectamente la espada Z, es decir que pese a no acabar el ritual, es bastante mas fuerte que el Gohan que luchó de igual o igual contra Darbura, antes de sacar la espada Z. En resumen que deberia haber matado a Darbura con facilidad sin necesidad de llegar al Ss2.
Recordemos que antes del ritual a Goku en base le costaba manejar la espada Z con las 2 manos, mientras que Gohan la menejaba con una como una majorette.

@@RedLogicYT Hace exactamente lo mismo que Gohan y cuando entrena Gohan con la espada Z, pasa de no poder prácticamente ni levantarla, a dominarla como si no pesara más que una espada normal. Lo que te están mostrando con esa escena no es solo que ha adquirido cierta habilidad con la espada, (que es algo irrelevante pues ni siquiera llega a luchar con ella), te muestran que Gohan se ha hecho mucho más fuerte. Por si no fuera suficiente, llega Goku y prueba la espada que resulta ser demasiado pesada para él, (la habilidad con la espada es irrelevante, lo relevante es que apenas puede con ella). Aquí te están diciendo que en estado base Gohan es ahora bastante más fuerte que su padre, cosa que no era así antes de sacar la espada z.
Como Trunks hace exactamente las mismas florituras con la espada que Gohan, es lógico pensar que en ese punto de la historia, Gohan y Trunks tienen la misma fuerza. Si Trunks hubiera acabado el ritual, hubiera tenido más o menos la misma fuerza que el Gohan definitivo que luchó contra Super boo.

Nope. Dabura's magic destroyed the sword not just the sword. Toriyama Sensei approved and wrote it to go this way in the dbs (yes- SUPER) manga prior to Toyotaro starting to write part of the story (Toyotaro was mainly just the art at this point and even his art had many corrections by Toriyama Sensei at that time).
@RedLogicYT but after daburu dies, anything he turned to stone turns back to normal. So once the broke sword turns back the old kai will appear because he's imprisoned in the sword

This is likely because the sword is an inanimate object and not a living being like piccolo or Krillin.
How come the kais never had his potential unlocked before encountering them?
Because old kai was never released from the sword because the sword was never broken. Then dabura used his magic to destroy the sword- destroying old kai.

He got hit by a ki blast fron Dabura (someone who is around perfect Cell level) then used his remaining life energy to help Gohan defeat Dabura.

Supreme Kai is a joke and what stupid Kai ect decided It was a good idea to make the Z sword capable of being turned to stone or being affected by any kind of magic. It’s just ridiculous.
