I just got an amber light bar and was wondering if you can still blind oncoming cars with it, or is that more of a white led problem. I have mine slightly angled down (very slightly though), but since im new with it, I just wanted your opinion. I mainly got it for harsh weather ( thic fog, heavy rain, snow, etc).
@@rftrujillo8153 Any color can blind oncoming traffic if the light is shooting high enough. You could test your light spray on a wall at night to compare it to your headlights.
Looks cool man. I have a stock 2014 body, so I purchased a 32" light bar that switches color(white/amber) and mounted it in the stock lower grill. I used 2 steel L brackets from Home depot with some self tapping steel bolts and screwed them into the stock bumper bars. Stealth mounted offroad lights. I then simply moved my license plate up so I use the bottom holes instead of the top holes.
@@rftrujillo8153 i was just cheap and didn't want to spend over $30 for the pre-made bracket kit. I spent less than $4 instead for unpainted stainless steel. I also made my own wire harness for it. Helps if you know how to wire in relays. Don't skimp on the relays.
Awesome bar man! Great mod. I have the 32” white light bar on the top of my Iron Cross bumper but that amber looks fantastic! Might have to get me one of them.
debating on getting this and replace the one i have now, just wish i could see it irl to make my decision. the one i have now is a $50 amazon bar and from the video the output looks similar
@@Tacomaholic Oh no stuff!? I was just chattin' him up yesterday about some patches. I will have to hit him up for a 3rd brake like for the new Softopper and then all my other lighting. The Prinsu comes next week and I have a 40" to mount to that, the 30" behind the grill and then some scene lights I want to add. Cool Cool Cool!!!
@@Tacomaholic I think in a lot of ways B, we're all Tacomaholics 👍🏼 I still need to get some replacement decals. I'll hit up the site after the holidays. I still have some at home but I want a different color this time. 🤫
Light bar looks awesome bud. are those hella horns you've got there how did you wire them do you have a video on that cuz I'm thinking of upgrading my horns and I thought I might do those if they sound good?
Thanks Brian! The yellow light from the lightbar pretty much drowns out the headlights if they are on, so not much difference when they are off as far as output goes.
love those lights with headlight mod, speaking of that a guy in 1 of our groups offered to make me smoked 1s for mine. already showed you pictures for 167 dollars, good or bad?
Did you build your own wiring harness? I have a 30" S8 Driving/Combo, so I need to wire it to my daytime running lights. Thanks for making the video. I have a 2019 4Runner and I do not see the specific harness on their website. If you can post a part list, I would be eternally grateful. I am a novice, at best, when it comes to electrical wiring. Cheers.
@@Tacomaholic this may sound like a weird request for a video, but do you think that you and your buddy can sit down and have a quick conversation about building that wire harness, and film it, so the rest of us can get a grasp of building our own? I know it's a shot in the dark, but may make for some views to your channel. Cheers and much health. Safe travels...

@@Tacomaholic cool, i think ill adjust it more angle it down a bit more. Thanks for the input man 😎👍
@@rftrujillo8153 Be sure to check your state laws. Light bars are probably illegal for road use in most places.

Sweet light bar!

Wish you turned off your headlights and just ran the light bar to see its output on its own
I like the backlit feature. I wonder how many lights come like this
Looks like all of Baja Designs S8 light bars have that feature.
Love the lights buddy but my foot is still tappin for that seat vid...tap...tap...tappity....
Soon! 😀
So the backlight is the green wire??
Cool mod! I thing I’m going to jeeprehab as I just came from the Jeep world to the 🌮

Looks great B! A perfect install! Who's this mysterious wiring expert?
Thanks Rob! I've got a few local Tacomaworld buddies who are great at wiring. For this vid it was Rome604. 😀
