The 2nd red wire closest to the black is for add a fuse. You connect it to dash light. Tail light etc.
Hey dude, How did you remove the panel to place the new button? is it under pressure? is it with clips!?
It has clips! They’re pretty sturdy. Use a plastic pry tool and it’ll come off easy. I used a very small flat head but it wasn’t plastic so it messed up a small part of the edge

What did you end up doing to fix the wiring being pinched under the hood? Just installed BD S1 ditch lights and am seeing the same issue.
The red wire next to the green goes to your wiring harness. That will turn on the ditch light symbol when you turn on the lights. The red wire next to the black connects to anything that turns on when all the interior lights go on ( I connected it to my headlights). This will turn on the "ditch light" wording.The black goes to the black and the green from the switch goes to the other wire on the harness. So that is three wires from the switch that go to the harness and one wire that goes to anything that lights up that when the interior panel lights go on. Hope this simplifies it.
Hi, I think you can help. I have a plug for the light bar and the colors are, black, white, green, and a white. I know the black should be with the black. But I have doubts with the other three.

@@ethanmouzakis1267 Just go to the engine bay and look for the wires that are coming out of the bulb sockets. There are 2 wires, tap into one of them. Hope this helps.
I watched another guy do this and he basically took the whole dash out this looks wayyyyyyy easier
Does your ditch light button get hot after some use? When I wired mines the 1st time, I grounded it to the the negative terminal of the battery and melted the button twice (smelled like something was burning) before changing and mounting the negative to the chassis. No more melted button but my ditch light button does get hot and sometimes it's hard to press the button to turn off when its been on for a long time. I wired mines both red from the switch/button to the red (with the black). I just want to see if others button gets hot after turning on the lights for a long period of time.
Hey man, I’ve never had that issue. I actually went to work at 6am, somehow turned my ditch lights on when I got out of my truck and didn’t notice they were on until 1pm. The switch wasn’t hot at all
. I want to get new ditch lights for my car but im just going to wire them to my battery with a fuse. The thing is I already have my light bar wired to the battery. Will adding another fuse and ditch lights kill my battery? Even if theyre not on?

Yep, working just fine. Only light that has a relay is my light bar
Hey bro what did you do with the little black box with a bracket on it? Did you attach it to the fuse box?
I didn’t mount it anywhere haha I just folded all the wiring nicely and zip tied it together haha the wiring situation is all temporary until I figure out what I want to do in terms of cleaning it up (switch Pro etc)
The other red wire will have the bottom of your switch light up when your interior lights are on. When you turn on your ditch lights, the whole switch will light up.

Can someone tell me what gauge & type of connects he is using? I’m not at all familiar with this wiring business but I just my lights today and have a switch I want to use instead of the stock Baja one they give us. Help would be appreciated.

Not really, unless the sunroof is open then it can be kinda of noisy

Don’t you need to use a relay with this kind of switches?
The harness should come with a relay and a fuse. Tacoman is just connecting it to the switch part of the harness.
@@juliodavid49 The harness I received from BD with a pair of squadron sports (the same as his) did not have a relay. Only a fuse. This is why I assume his does not have one either.
Correct. Mine doesn’t have a relay. I thought I showed the wiring harness in the video, but if I mentioned nothing about a relay that means I didn’t have one. I will be wiring my light bar soon which does have a relay that showed in the installation video 👍🏼
@@FahadAlkhadim Ok. I assumed that all of them would have one. Mine was not expensive and it came with a relay and a fuse. The fuse should be good enough.
Yeah that’s even better. Whichever size fuse they gave you is probably the recommended. What is the fuse amp?
