Believing Black Doom defeated, falsely I might add, Shadow goes to the Black Comet to think alone, paving the way for the Last Story.

like it or not this is the perfect final to the dreamcast era of sonic, the whole story arc of chaos and shadow have a satisfactory ending, shadow knows all the truth and have closure to the past, he moves on and never ever comes back to be a sad edgy character again that questions who he is (he is now a jerk but thats another story) that "goodbye forever shadow the hedgehog" always got me

As flawed as this game is, Shadow The Hedgehog is one of my guilty pleasures along with Sonic 06. Sure I agree that playing the game 10 times to get all 10 endings does kinda suck. But looking past that all in all Shadow The Hedgehog is an enjoyable experience at least for me that is. Honestly if I would have to choose I would play this game over Sonic 06.

Shadow's game deserves a remastered version and a sequel to it including Sonic 06 Sonic Unleashed and Sonic and The Black Knight and Sonic and The Secret Rings the other Sonic Villains who were defeated should come back because even if they're gone they won't stay gone for long they always come back. Shadow was a mess throughout this story. it didn't have to be this way. Shadow was already coming to terms with his situation by the end of Sonic Heroes, whether he was the real deal or a copy. That game alone showed who Shadow was as a person. He was protecting Rouge from Omega without hesitation at the beginning, and throughout, he showed he cared for others, practically disproving the evil choices he could make throughout the Shadow game. He didn't need to leave the photo behind either. Just because you are not controlled by the past doesn't mean you should throw away your happiness or better memories. He will always be Shadow, and those memories will still exist deep down given how integral they are and close they are to who he was and still is. This ending after defeating Black Doom is just excessive drama, and the creators of this particular game take advantage of the stereotype image people force on Shadow.
Agreed. Remembering Maria and his promise is part of what makes him the hero he is today. She would be proud of him and he shouldn’t forget that. Hopefully Shadow generations will reinstate this. Especially since they haven’t done much with Shadow since 2006

I like how the space colony ark having a functioning canon in this means that the Dark ending from SA2 is the cannon one. It also means Sonic and the gang canonically failed to defeat Eggman on at least one occasion. SA2 eggman really was the best eggman, he actually beat sonic. Well, Gerald originally intended to use Shadow and the Eclipse Cannon to destroy the Black Arms. But when Maria was killed, his sanity snapped and his focus changed to getting revenge on humanity for killing her.

That video you saw of both the Professor & Maria was obviously an old video that was recorded from 50 years ago when Shadow was first born & created on the Space Colony Ark & when Maria was still alive. Professor Gerald Robotnik wanted to create Shadow for the good of Mankind to protect Humanity & for a cure to help Maria’s disease she had in her body but since after losing Maria by GUN, that’s when he stopped being a good guy & became a Villain because of GUN. I recommend using the original japanese stories of the sonic games and not english ones i understand you maybe dont know japanese and that is why you dont use them but windii has translated lot of the japanese cutscenes. There are also a few retranslated mods you can use. And the voice acting is just way better.

I like how the space colony ark having a functioning canon in this means that the Dark ending from SA2 is the cannon one. It also means Sonic and the gang canonically failed to defeat Eggman on at least one occasion. SA2 eggman really was the best eggman, he actually beat sonic. Even if the final story made that irrelevant.
They're both canon, they're both side of the same story just told with different characters haha

That was actually a translation error. In the og Japanese version he actually says let's pay respect for Shadow because he still saved us despite how horribly we've been to him.
Well, Gerald originally intended to use Shadow and the Eclipse Cannon to destroy the Black Arms. But when Maria was killed, his sanity snapped and his focus changed to getting revenge on humanity for killing her.
Professor Gerald lost his sanity after he found out Maria died that’s why he tried to destroy the earth

That video you saw of both the Professor & Maria was obviously an old video that was recorded from 50 years ago when Shadow was first born & created on the Space Colony Ark & when Maria was still alive. Professor Gerald Robotnik wanted to create Shadow for the good of Mankind to protect Humanity & for a cure to help Maria’s disease she had in her body but since after losing Maria by GUN, that’s when he stopped being a good guy & became a Villain because of GUN. So basically that video was made when Gerald was a good guy before SA2 even happened & existed to how he became a Villain for a huge big misunderstanding GUN had no idea what he was really using Shadow for after Gerald created him by using a DNA sample of Black Doom which makes him Shadow Biological Father

I recommend using the original japanese stories of the sonic games and not english ones i understand you maybe dont know japanese and that is why you dont use them but windii has translated lot of the japanese cutscenes. (unfortunately most of her videos were deleted but there are some repost i have made a playlist of most of the reposts on my channel.) but other than that good video. There are also a few retranslated mods you can use. And the voice acting is just way better.
