Very interesting indeed ... but you didn't show us (those who also got to break one lever ...) how to replace the broken lever before it was time to reassemble. Thanks ... ;-)
The Saitek throttle quadrants are garbage, even by Chinese standards. When yours breaks and/or the unbelievably cheap potentiometers inevitably get corroded, just throw it away and by something from CH Products. You MIGHT be able to pull off a disassembly once as illustrated in this video, but the solder joints and horribly cheap plastic parts are unlikely to ever survive multiple cleanings. You'll get about six months of use before the potentiometers corrode again, btw. Throw the goddam piece of shit in the trash and never buy anything from Saitek again.
Wrong! the pots don't corrode, they get dirty like all pots in the world. I clean mine once a year. Solder points are exactly the same as any electronics. and if things gets worst, buy on ebay xbox controller pots and replace them.
@@josemiranda1241 Saitek pots have a very cheap coating on the tracks that oxidizes continuously; they don't simply get dirty. CH pots go for decades without a problem, while Saitek pots are good for around six months before a layer of oxidized film builds up on the tracks.
Thanks Nick! I need to clean mine, now I’ll do it
I need to figure out how to fit a philips screwdriver to take out the bottom plate, I think those need a very thin screwdriver.

I’m looking for the same answer! Any suggestions?
So about the lever heads themselves, do you literally just tug them off the lever? They feel pretty firmly attached.
Yes, pull as hard as you can, they click in.
Does anyone know the color order of the wires on the ps2 connection?
Thanks for the vid mate but I'm struggling to push the sticks out of the housing if you know what I mean due to the nub, did you ever get these out?
I did not, but I think with enough force, they would come out! I did have to force the one I fixed back in.
