[4K] Walking in 104 Village, Shanty Town in Seoul | The Last Slum Area
- 104 village (Baeksa-Maul) was formed in 1967 by emigrants who lost their place to live due to Seoul's urban development policy. This area is currently under redevelopment and construction is scheduled to proceed. Most of the houses have become vacant, but there are still a few houses left, and it is difficult to relocate due to difficulties in cost.
Let's walk together in this small town, the last shanty town in Seoul.

Beautiful village, thank you for taking me there as always!
It is a town that will go down in history. Next time you will see a new look.
This video show images of vacant houses It look so sad ...Poor , ruined , old , No one there .
Thank You very much for Your hard works .
Love seeing local streets of Seoul that are not super fancy! Thanks for sharing awesome walking tour☺️ Liked 9💜
Thanks for watching.
Great video. I noticed no homeless people walking around there. I bet that there are some living inside these old buildings.
I hope everyone found new homes who need it to leave that area. People who have lived there, have they been more elderly people who didn't want to move to modern houses or just poor people. Thank you for sharing this video ❤️
I'm in S. Korea for six months (Incheon) and love the older, grittier areas. The newer areas... too sterile for me, and I know the a good chunk of the "redevelopments" don't always have the entire communities support. I hope not all the older areas of Seoul are paved over with huge concrete towers! Good walking video.
Development is important, but I think it is also necessary to maintain the old sensibility. Even the huge city of Seoul is blowing retro vibes these days.
Nice walking tour 👍💕🙏
Thanks for watching. Have a nice day.👍
Shanty places in Seoul is still luxurious compared to to the slums of the Philippines or the tents of the streets of the USA 😂
That's right
I would take this over my ghetto apartment complex any day
😅😅😅
Thanks to make this video I am enjoying to see this because Korean love to watch india like this 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you. Have a nice day.

Dan i just found your channel and i love it i am from Nottingham and live in u s I must say now i know where they film some of the crime shows and movies they make keep them coming😅😅
Looks fancy compared to slums in kenya🇰🇪😂😂 but i love this video and the place looks so serene and abandoned at the same time💯
Nice catcher..
Nice Walk, Thanks for sharing this video 👍 Im also walking tour vlogger from Philippines 🇵🇭
Man ! You got to the top of the hill it you never looked up those stairs!!’ Pan left and right more please!
Thanks for your comments. Look forward to better videos in the future.
I'm probably wrong, but I'd feel safer in these slums than in the ghettos and slums of other countries.
Korea is probably one of the safest countries in the world. Even the slums.
Even though looking rather slum but the are very clean
This looks like another businessman or politician waiting for the rite time to redevelop. But if you are historian this would be an ideal place to capture the time frame of how building n streets where built in the 70-90’s.
What is that green cord on the buildings??
It's a building that will be demolished soon, so it's like a sign telling you not to enter for safety's sake.
Ah ok thanks 👍
Wow! I'm curious about those red circles painted on many walls... What's the meaning of them? 😮😮😮
They can film horror in that area haha pretty much abandoned already

Shanty town? An Eastern European village looking like this is considered on the rich side of the spectrum
there 3 slums in Seoul , and theey are almost abandoned..people dont live there
Looks like abandoned homes/houses!
No hay personas ni animales. Donde esta la gente?
Quiet... I am not seeing someone on the streets. Where are they ?
This place is scheduled to be demolished soon. Due to construction delays, some residents are still living there.
I can tell by the way the camera "bobs" at the beginning that you have very small feet. This appears to be early on a Sunday morning. Is everybody in church?
Seriously, there are no people in there?
Because it was an area scheduled for demolition, everyone except a very few people moved.
@@pit-a-pat k, ty
@@pit-a-pat wait a minute, but what is going to happen to the poor people?
@@culea0alexthey are compensated to move out to public apartments . it took 30 years to persuade the residents here. Redevelopment in Korea is not easy.
😶😔😪👍well 💛🚶♂️🙏🙌🙏
Why don't they remove this visual pollution? There shouldn't be such places in a developed country
The cost of living in Korea is very high they probably can’t afford a house, you pay for everything in South Korea
