Yep, this is what Korea looks like. Nobody mentions in their cute travel vlogs that literally 8ft behind a skyscraper is a home or community built out of sheets of metal. It’s everywhere, not just in seoul, it’s the entire country of korea. And when you get out of the larger cities and into rural areas, it’s all like this. But all you see online is the neon lights of gangnam. I will add that the type of people who live in these places are hard workers, usually farmers, restaurant workers, people who work with their hands.

As long as it is litter free , and no lime or spit on the walls ……. Everything is fine….. otherwise like India …….ewwww no civic sense at all…..😢

The "slum" part is so easy to fix. Afterwards, it will no longer have the description of "slum". The area is beautiful! The roads are clean and peaceful. How do people in these "housing" deal with winter cold?? The cars parked and driving past are quite new and luxurious.

Missed pantai segara, big poster "burning trash is not allowed" next to trash burning site, derelict buildings, trash piles, loud doff doff music venues, smoke from grill fish vendors. Basically the locals have ruined the place by expropriating the beach and beach walk for their business. And when doing so they cannot even keep it tidy and free of trash.

as a korean... i have learned this while websurfing. so in 1988, korean olympic started. however the korean government was so obssesed with making other country feel good about korea. so they crushed all the slums with bulldozer and than the people in there were lost. and this is where they are living now.

도시 계획 잘 세워서 모조리 철거하고 지하 주차장 갖추고 높낮이를 달리한 5층 짜리 소형 주택 마을로 짓고 길도 넓히고 나무도 많이 심고 꽃길, 잔디, 공원도 많이 만들고..... 그렇게 재개발 하면 너도나도 살겠다고 줄 설 것이다.
