Lol, sooo many people have the same question. No, it isn't fake, I don't even know how to Photoshop or do a fake video. But this method may not be for everybody. I just found it cool that you can actually get the lens out without touching your eye. So in situations where you cannot find a place to wash your hands, it might come in handy. 😝 Here is the link to the video I reacted to, lol. I did too at first! The first time I tried to get on contacts, I tried for 45 min with the assistant’s help, and couldn’t get them in. Decided to try again another day. I got it in, but it took me 30 min to get them out. That feels like forever when you have something in your eye! I’ve definitely gotten much better. Cleaning your contacts regularly to ensure they stay soft, and using eye drops (for contact wearers specifically) as needed helps too
The scariest is if you don’t know if their in or out cause u can’t find it but u can still see so u continually try and get the already out contact out
@@pauljerome01…. Yeah that’s my fear 🥲🥲 I struggle w memory being already quite young and staying on track of things. This a huge fear cause I am confident that I’d forget I could have like 5 under my eyes and I’d never know it
It's almost never actually a problem, getting them out is the easy part. The first time I tried it took me like 40 minutes to get them in, but I got them out on the first try. By that point your eye will be so irritated and teary they'll basically just pop out when you touch them. And forgetting they're in is also impossible, you feel them when you look sideways. even if you're not sure they're out when you try to take them off, you'll feel it 5 minutes later. If you need them give it a shot, you'll probably be just fine
For anyone watching this, this method is most commonly used to remove Hard Contact lenses (it's what I do to take mine out), since they don't bend like soft lenses. It works by creating tension on either side of the eye and essentially pushing out the lens when you blink. The more you know!
@@ameliarose47 I'm not sure about Ortho-K lenses, but hard contacts don't normally break when they fall. They're pretty resilient, and usually only break if they're crushed or something like that. Just make sure you're above a sink with the drain closed!

You just put them on your eye.. the fear of not touching your eye is wrong. Nothing happens when you do..😂 sure it can sting a little bit with dry hands. But that is it. Same as getting them out really.. you can lift them of. It really doing it with your eyelids is more difficult. And think about it.. you think the eyelids are some magical skin.. that shit it touching your eyes all the time
I finally put them on after 3 months. The trick is to look up before putting them in. Then, roll your eyes to center the contact. Try practicing touching your eyes before you go in.
I’m going to have to try this- the only time I’ve been able to do this is when I’m not trying to get my contacts out 😂 getting them out with nails is by far the worst part of wearing contacts for me
No...that's really not how it works. I could write a whole long, rambling comment about why, but I imagine none of your basis for believing this is scientific anyway, so there's not much point. In short, though, if this is how your skin worked, you would have more problems than wrinkles.
I've tried contacts twice. The first time I couldn't get them out, started having a panic attack and crying, it was a disaster because the tears kept making it even more difficult to get a hold of. They had me put both in and it took almost an hour to get them out. The second time I refused to put both in before I knew I could get the first one out. I could not get the first one out. Where was this when I needed you. I am upset.
Doesn't it damage the skin to pull on it so hard... You would be doing it a lot over your lifetime. I heard someone say you shouldn't pull the skin around your eyes.
@@lachatte307 skin stretches, but some skin is more delicate. If you put your finger right near your eye, you can feel how much thinner the skin is there then other skin on your body

Thats brilliant. I havent worn contacts in years because im terrible at taking them out.. so i would leave them in FOREVER. Im tempted to try them again with his hack!
Once you’re more comfortable touching the contacts and having your eyes touched, I recommend just pinching it off your eye. Less to think about and don’t have to cause wrinkles by pulling at sensitive skin (if that’s a matter of concern for you)

Honestly after having to wear contacts for years you just get really good at removing them and not being scared when things approach your eyes. It’s much easier to just take my fingers and tap it off.
Why does this method scare me more than just taking my contacts out lol? Ive never had a problem grabbing them out but the thought of blinking and it getting stuck under my eyelids is way scarier than my finger touching my eye 😂😂😂
So I don’t have to stretch my eyelids, I touch the contact with the tip of my finger and then look the the side and blink. It’ll stick to the finger and not your eye. Kinda hard if you can’t touch your eye though 🤷♀️
I use contacts, and I’m scared of this girls technique 😭 I’ve always pinched the contacts and took them out, I find it so much easier than how she does it. Idk maybe that’s just how I do it but..
Just a tip: Its a little easier if you use one hand to pull on your eyelids using your index and middle finger so you can catch the contact with your free hand
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS!!! I wear contacts off and on, not so much right now due to allergies. I will have issues at times where my contact feels like it is really stuck to my eye, I use eyedrops to help it, but I will have to try this at some point soon!
