I got Cell Saga vibes from this chapter, like the way Kazuya just announces an entire tournament out of nowhere
Kazuya will clone his Mini Devils to represent the Cell Jr.
I hope we get Kazuya Max, a Kaiju Clone who's Stature make Azazel Blush.

The story demo made me so happy. I thought T8 was going to take itself too seriously but the story is so over the top and anime. It's just fun.

@@PkOrPvpEven Max said that you won't see characters if they kept the lighting from the first trailer in game. Plus what game has the same looking visuals in game and cutscenes? Even massive games like Spiderman 2 don't have that because it makes the gameplay bad. They already said when the trailer was released that things will change so idk why you seriously thought its gonna stay like that. Nothing about this game looks arcady because as far as I remember arcade games don't have this much content and mechanics. Keep trying to convince yourself that this game is bad. You all will keep crying no matter what the devs do so pls go ahead and continue with your whining as if that's gonna change anything in the game for you specifically.
I love how everyone speaks their languages and they understand each other in tekken. It's like the devs saw all those anime vids redubbing characters in their native languages.

In Other Franchises they all speak wjo ever localized the Dialouge, but in Tekken, they speak in their native tounge.
The characters are just reading the subtitles like we do
On one hand, I love it and wish more games did that. On the other, I think it should be unique to Tekken.

This is probably the first Tekken in a while where in Mid-cutscene, or before all the fighting actually starts, one of the Mishimas officially announce they are starting the Iron Fist Tournament. For a bit now, people have just been throwing hands with other dudes they used to scrap with. lol
“My name Maximilian Kazama, son of Akuma. And I will have my vengeance on you Kazuya Mishima.” - Max.
All joking aside what I find interesting is that in spite of all both Jin and Kazuya have done, Jun still wants to save both of them from themselves.
I kind of get Jin because he *is* remorseful about his fuck up and he was a goody two shoes in 3-5. Kazuya though? Even in Tekken 1 he was kind of an asshole.
@@Darkyan97Yeah? imagine growing up despised by your father, then being thrown to your death by him, then learn that he killed your mother. The first reason alone is more than enough to irreversibly fck you up inside out, let alone the rest. Jin was lucky to have his mother in his early years to plant a seed of goodness in him. Kazuya was born and raised in a baptism of fire.

Jin is her son, naturally she would want to save him no matter what. And Jin does want to fix his mistakes. With Kazuya they'd probably come up with some BS retcon like he was being influenced by Azazel all along and he was never "really" evil since he was his puppet or whatever, and that supposedly makes him worthy of saving. Kind of like how T7 tried to turn Heihachi into some tragic figure all of a sudden.
When he said tekken fast and furious it made sense because its about family.
Just from the first chapter we got to try, this story really is gonna be absolutely crazy! Definitely glad everybody is having a part in the story compared to T7's story where it was mainly just Kazuya vs Heihachi mostly. I can't wait!
The power scaling went through the roof in this game. Kazuya went from barely beating Heihachi in T7 to becoming Justice League power level Superman clapping Devil Jin with ease.
All of Kazuya's insecurities and mental blocks went away after being certain he got rid of Heihachi.
That's a good point. Also appears those insecurities have transferred onto Jin. Guess he'll need the "power of friendship" to help regain his confidence and beat Kazuya.

When it comes down to the Mishima trio, Jin does terrible things for the greater good, Heihachi does terrible things for power and Kazuya does terrible things just for the sake of being cruel.

It's debatable, Kazumi also became evil out of nowhere so there is a strong possibility that the devil gene just drives them crazy.

@@progste hence the name Devil. But look at Jin's case, because of how his mother affected him, he's deeply morally conflicted. On one hand, his mother planted a seed of goodness that he hangs on to, on the other hand he has the worst father one could possibly have, and that brought out the worst in him.
Ultimately, Tekken's story is also about good vs bad parenting.

@@al4vv82 Yep, I was 11 or 12 and saw the original PlayStation in a local video game store. They had Tekken, Twisted Metal, and a few other games playable. Safe to say after that day, me and all my friends mowed a ton of yards to get the money up to buy it and a handful of games. To this day, my favorite consoles are the SNES and PS1/2. So many great franchises started on those.
Basically Kazuya did what Cell did in DBZ: he annouces a tournament & threatens to destroy the earth if he is not defeated

I have to admit, I’m looking forward to play this story mode.
I swear this would be my comeback for a tekken game since tekken 6. Tekken 8 looks so exciting like all the specials heat specials and rage arts and new refined combos and classic normal combos all of them looks back and forth swaggy and engaging. the story is nuts. yeah the laser beam struggle between jin and kazuya was the dominant factor on who rules and runs the devil in the king of iron fist tournament. i also would love to see the rest of the characters search up their past stories to avenge their justices. So logically the characters has their own specific chapter stories right you know shades of mortal kombat. Like even mortal kombat has their own specific chapter stories. looks like kazuya is the poster boy villain all over again. he might showcase his resilience since tekken 2. and the cutscene actions where you have to prompt a quick button takedown on your screen was so pounding i really feel the intensity of the fights in my heart. t8 definitely would be my first tekken game to play in a while like i said since t6. We are about to witness a lot of mishima family clan taking the mantle of the devil gene blood or at least if they dont take it they got victimsed at some point.

Making your story mode super long means nothing if most of it is just characters standing and dropping exposition
This made me realize a game that needs to make a comeback... BUSHIDO BLADE. That game's story mode was so elite.

It'd difficult to stand on Jin's side too after the destruction and death he caused especially when you know his ultimate goal was a quite a selfish one - to rid himself on the Devil Gene - he did not need to manifest Azazel into a physical being, Azazel was dormant - there was literally no need
With Kazuya as the antagonist now however, I get why the other characters are behind Jin but still...I reallu do wonder if Jun is actually back - the trailers aren't really giving it away - it seems to be all from Jin's minds perspective/memory although the only indicator that she is back is Kazuya's fight introduction with Jun...
Anyway, I'm super excited - when you mentioned the cut scene of Tekken 6's intro being 15 years ago, it took me back to when it was going to come out - I was in high school - geez what a journey Tekken has been

Loving the demo but I can totally see myself using the assist mode quite a bit. Last Tekken game I played was Tekken Tag 1! Paid attention to the story but man, that gameplay scares the hell outta me.
I can beat the fights relatively well now, but I can't air juggle or perform some of their signature moves, so assist mode totally helps get the most pizzaz for complete newbies like me, which is nice but definitely feels like cheating a little bit!
What is the suit made out of not to even get a lil smoke damage

I would be surprised if he goes back to it. He played his 1st run on GMGoW and that ruined his experience based on what I watched. You play that mode on NG+ or someone who really loves the franchise/combat

I know we still haven't even got tekken 8 but I kind of wonder what they will do for future tekken games since they tried to do that with soulcalibur but it wasn't that good.
If it does come to light, which I'm sure it will, I hope we actually do get some real character responses when its revealed Heihachi is dead.
Every character in the series has been impacted by Heihachi, one way or another and it sucks we didn't get to see an interaction between Heihachi and Jin since Tekken 4.
