Same here although Tekken 3 played so much better than previous tekkens until that point. personally Tekken 2 is my favorite and absolutely love the soundtrack 🤘💜
Same. Tekken 2 reached an odd atmospheric setting with its opening, character select, And a handful of level songs. Games like this, resident evil 1, and tomb raider 1 embodies an era when 3d gaming was experimentally morphing past 2d and becoming more adult
@@eternal305 I feel there is an ambience that’s just missing in newer games I can’t but my finger on it is it lighting music or what. Tekken 2 just hits for me in a way I can’t really describe. Sometimes I just go back and watch the opening.
This format can be a bit awkward but the shenanigans + top tier editing makes it very entertaining to watch lol (I appreciate the titles / names being shown so anyone who likes the track can search for it)
It's so hard to choose, Poolside, Moonlit Wilderness, Tulip Festival, Aim to Win, Abyss of Time, Karma and stuff like Heat Haze Shadow always build hype in this series.
Tag 1's soundtrack was pretty mediocre to me. A good sum of the music sounded like random techno sounds thrown every which way with hardly any fighting drive. Almost as if they were going for a more casual experience as opposed to T3's energetic attitude-like tunes. I would go with Xiaoyu's theme being my favorite in TT though.
Can't believe we got no mentions for Kirsche or Antares. Those themes have been living in the back of my head rent free for over a decade at this point.
Please do more rate the music, this was so much fun to watch. Plus I can't get enough of them dancing, I almost spit soda joining them. 😭 TTT2 was my absolute favorite, the customization song is the BEST.
Tekken 2 has the best soundtrack in my opinion. Many themes come back in remixed versions from the first title but there's so much more. From the epic/dramatic tracks like "Be in the Mirror", "Emotionless Passion", through energetic/pumping you up "The Place", "Nobody Catch Me", "Paul's Miracle Deathfist" to classy and amazing "Morning Field", "Silent Assassin". And don't even get me started on the intro...The second Tekken will always be one of my favourite games of all time, that's why I bought the original PS1 copy of it.
The Corridor Theme from Tekken 4 is so mesmerizing, like out of 1997's Berserk OST. I'm also quite fond of Urban War Zone, Midtown Roars, Central Tower (T6), Massive Mix (TTT2), I'm Here Now, Sparking, The FInalizer (T5), Heat Haze Shadow, Equator Line, The Solitary Warrior (T7).
Til this day I remember getting T6 for Xbox 360 and I saw the electric fountain and I tell you I was in awe when I heard the music like it was ‘09 at a rave. This may be the best take far as rating the music…willing to see more. Edit: My favorite OST’s from Tekken is Lei Wulong (TK3;PS1), Authentic Sky, Touch and Go, T5 character select, Jin (TK3;PS1), Tiamat, Crimson Sunset, Moonlit Wilderness, Electric Fountain, and Xiaoyu Stage from Tag 1.
Thank God you post stuff like this max , would have sucked to have missed this one 😆, don't always catch 100% of every stream so youtube having highlights like this is great
Tekken music is always so fire. It’s part of the reason why it’s just one of my favorite fighting games even if I am a more casual player. Gotta learn combos someday.
Since Max reviewed Tekken 8s appearance not long ago Infinite Azure has been stuck in my mind for 2 weeks now, then Max drops this? We need more episodes like this.
A shame there was no Tag music in here at the end, though glad Kenny mentioned it. Xiaoyu's theme in Tag was just THE Tekken song to me for the longest time, so thankful someone brought it up.
Kitsch from Tekken 4 will always be my favorite Tekken song of all time. I'll listen to certain songs on repeat for a while, but Kitsch will always be the one I listen to the most out of any other. Edit: Soul Calibur themes when? My vote is Maxi's theme.
Tekken 2, tag 1, 4 and 5 had the best music in my opinion. I liked the soundtrack of the older tekken games better than the modern ones. Most of the music now is just dubstep which I don't like. The music in the older games had more ambient vibes than the way it is now
I wish we on PC had this menu. I guess they just figure us on PC would just use youtube for listening. But having it in game would be so handy. EDIT: To add on probably my favorite songs are either DR's Hall of Fate (Credits theme thing. I know it from Chameleon vs Akuma) or Heat Haze 1/2 both from 7. They just hit so good.
You guys skipped Tekken 2's console character select!? That track is a 10 out of 10. As a matter of fact Tekken 2's whole ost is amazing. Michelle's console theme is amazing.

Tekken 7 - Infinite Azure, weakest OST
0:04 Max does a wonderful job with his intros to his videos, that both he and Kenny are busting moves to the grooves of the Tekken series of music and poor Steve is lost and confused.
0:39 Kenny getting jiggy with it.

Tekken 2 opening is still one of my favorite. I think I just really love the vibe of tekken 2 and aesthetic. I feel the same for tekken 3. I feel it hasn’t been the same since those games but I love mostly all the games regardless.
Same here although Tekken 3 played so much better than previous tekkens until that point. personally Tekken 2 is my favorite and absolutely love the soundtrack 🤘💜
@@RockeraDeAyer I feel the same tekken 2 is my favorite but no doubt tekken 3 played way better.
Same here! Tekken 2 intro and Tekken 2 end credits, daa daaaaaaaaaaaaaaa weiiiwuuuuuuu weeiiwuuuuuuuu
Same. Tekken 2 reached an odd atmospheric setting with its opening, character select,
And a handful of level songs.
This format can be a bit awkward but the shenanigans + top tier editing makes it very entertaining to watch lol (I appreciate the titles / names being shown so anyone who likes the track can search for it)
Yo Max! Please make this a series, this is too damn good
The Finalizer and Antares from Tekken 5 have to be my favorite tracks ever.
Antares goes so absurdly harddd.
@@matthewpunk2012 "Fear the wrath of god!"
Round 1
*FIGHT*
I love Antares, as well as Acid Rain
This video really displayed all their friendships and i loved it all. Felt like i was there with em vibing this hard
I had a damn smile on my face the entire video. More please!
It's so hard to choose, Poolside, Moonlit Wilderness, Tulip Festival, Aim to Win, Abyss of Time, Karma and stuff like Heat Haze Shadow always build hype in this series.
This is editing gold!
13:30 - Someone needs to make fanart of Kenny and Steve in the Goku/Frieza power-up shot.
T6's Fallen Colony is a personally certified banger.
Also, I'll join others' call for more Rate the Music videos, this shit was fun.
T5 and TT got the best music low key
T4
Absolute High Key
T5dr was better
Tag 1's soundtrack was pretty mediocre to me. A good sum of the music sounded like random techno sounds thrown every which way with hardly any fighting drive. Almost as if they were going for a more casual experience as opposed to T3's energetic attitude-like tunes. I would go with Xiaoyu's theme being my favorite in TT though.
Tekken Tag Yoshimitsu music has me by the balls to this day
The editing is carrying this for sure. But I do want more of this. Def bring yo videogames though
The song from the intro cinematic of Tekken 2 will forever be ingrained in my psyche. Absolute 10/10 eternal banger.
Major props to the editing!
One of my favorites is definitely electric fountain
Edit: oh its at the end of the video
Tekken 2 has the best soundtrack in my opinion. Many themes come back in remixed versions from the first title but there's so much more. From the epic/dramatic tracks like "Be in the Mirror", "Emotionless Passion", through energetic/pumping you up "The Place", "Nobody Catch Me", "Paul's Miracle Deathfist" to classy and amazing "Morning Field", "Silent Assassin". And don't even get me started on the intro...The second Tekken will always be one of my favourite games of all time, that's why I bought the original PS1 copy of it.
I love when the guys get together to share the brain cell
Max dying at the end topped this whole video off 🤣🤣💀💀
Max's dancing hasn't changed in all the years ive seen him dancing. HAHAHAHA
Thank God you post stuff like this max , would have sucked to have missed this one 😆, don't always catch 100% of every stream so youtube having highlights like this is great
T4 is where I started my Tekken journey.
For me I think "Fontana Di Trevi" from TTT2 was goated. Always gets me hype and especially they mixed dubstep and violin part 🔥
This is Max’s best edited video easily had me too hyped 😂🔥
Tekken 2, tag 1, 4 and 5 had the best music in my opinion. I liked the soundtrack of the older tekken games better than the modern ones. Most of the music now is just dubstep which I don't like. The music in the older games had more ambient vibes than the way it is now
Jorge did great with this one.
This is awesome! The editing is fantastic! Def would love more Rate the Music, especially for SF cuz that shit SLAPS.
This video just made my day, seeing the 4 years in the past when they were reacting to the Opening to Games back to this video, Amazing🖤
Fun Fact: the tekken 8 announcement trailer music is actually a remix of tekken 3 hidden character select music. That music is so good.
The boys going Super Snoop level 2 to defend their Dogg was so goddamn funny
I wish we on PC had this menu. I guess they just figure us on PC would just use youtube for listening. But having it in game would be so handy.
EDIT: To add on probably my favorite songs are either DR's Hall of Fate (Credits theme thing. I know it from Chameleon vs Akuma) or Heat Haze 1/2 both from 7. They just hit so good.
How T3 Jin's theme is so underrated is beyond me. not sure if it was played at all in the Stream BUT it's Definitely up there
The drums and the acoustic guitar in the yodeling song are actually INSANE!
Surprised heat haze shadow wasn't mentioned, its become one of my all time favorites
Tekken 4 will always have the best soundtrack imo. That one had more bangers than any other game. Every game had hits, but 4 just has the most.
Hearing max say homie feels so off for some reason 🤣
Yea 😂 he’s more of a “broooo” kind of dude
@@NovaSniper12 hes a dood kind of dood
You guys skipped Tekken 2's console character select!?
That track is a 10 out of 10. As a matter of fact Tekken 2's whole ost is amazing. Michelle's console theme is amazing.
Give your editor a thicc Christmas bonus please
if you dont think about purple suit Kazuya in that one flowerfield at night stage whenever moonlit wilderness starts playing, somethings wrong with ya
That and Lee's black tuxedo. Eggzellent!
The edition in this one was top notch holy shit nice
Tekken 3's soundtrack is the most memorable to me, I remember pretty much every character's theme from that game.
I agree I think Tekken 3 has the best music in the entire series
Also do more of these if you can, was nice to see people just vibing and hanging out. 🔥
You guys is the motive Tekken became a DUBSTEP festival, some so love for T3 ant T Tag ost
Good video guys
Aww, they skipped the console version of Tekken 2's "Are You Ready?". That one is pretty smooth.
That’s what I’m about to say.. you beat me to it.
Jorge, if you see this message, great job. Love all of the edits!
thank u
Idk even if it wasn't a character select theme, Karma at the Electric fountain theme was a bop.
Edit: oh never mind he did listen to it lol
Meep
Embodiment of the word Tekken- Max
