Ya know as much as I enjoy Jerma's streams. Sometimes his fan base can be pretty toxic and annoying, it gets to the point that I don't watch some of his streams mainly because chat usually trolls Jerma to try and get a reaction out of him. Like I usually don't care about trolling, but for some reason I can't stand it happening to Jerma.
Agreed. I hate it when people in chat tries to dictate what Jerma should play. And i don't mean the chat making suggestions, but instead crying and shouting at him when he plays a game they don't like. People saying: "yOuR StReAm FUcKiNg SuCkS" "yOu'Ve ReAlLy GoNe DoWnHiLl" unironically are the worst kind of viewers.
But his chat is mostly joking and playing in on Jerma's humor. Most of it isn't too bad, but I do agree that sometimes chat just goes to crazy and are absolute dickheads while jerma is playing a game and having fun.
berek ray I dont really find it toxic as much as I find it just straight up annoying. I’ve stopped watching his streams because every 30 seconds he gets distracted by stupid shit in chat. Jerma having attention deficit doesn’t help the problem, either. No game can be played passed 15-20 minutes before he gets sidetracked for half an hour.
Jerma's chat basically just jumps between the following personalities: 1) Toxic backseaters complaining about something, be it the game he's playing, how he's playing it or generally making stupid demands and whining when he doesn't do it (until of course he caves in and does it, because we all know he's a slave to the chat); 2) A triggered SJW brigade where half the chat spouts a bunch of SJW stuff whilst the other half are also spouting a bunch of SJW stuff but doing it ironically (thankfully this usually only happens when something race-related occurs in a game, which is not that often); 3) A perpetual meme machine that doesn't seem to understand the law of diminishing returns when it comes to humor (out of all the identities Jerma's chat takes on, this is probably the least annoying one as it has occasionally produced some classic moments, and it did prompt Jerma to respond with the meme rumble last year which is one of his best ever streams, however the flip-side is that this is also the default mode his chat is in when they are not the other two).
edallencompassingly yeah it’s super annoying I’ll make it to one of his streams and instantly regret it, the chat is demanding and repetitive and just complains about every damn game he plays . Jerma is a funny guy and I could watch him play literally any game and be entertained it doesn’t have to be a triple a game or an underground indie game. With this kind of streamer you should watch for the comedy not the gameplay (not saying it’s acceptable to be a complete shit game or for the streamer to be complete shit at said game)

This stream was right down there with the WoW stream that failed to take off in terms of quality. This made Skate 3 look like Jerma Rumble and The Movies. It literally checked every single box in terms of what makes a shit Jerma stream. No planned direction, Jerma was clearly not that interested even to the point that he didn't care about making disgusting eating noises on stream, he was doing the LOL I JUST SHOT A RANDOM GUY IN GTA thing which got old years ago, he jumped game three times in about ten minutes and it wasn't even for a joke, he was a complete slave to the chat, the chat were whining and getting toxic, and Jerma just generally wasn't making the most out of the fact that he was playing a game which in the past has given him great content. It would have been better if he had actually stuck with Minecraft, even if out of irony. Or if Comcast had just cut him off.
