@@CosmicBeing538 We own a miniature dachshund who was born blind and deaf. The damn thing hunts our cats. The little psycho has caught our cats. Best believe we would tell that to a sitter.
Honestly she was still a puppy- I asked her to watch my dog at my apartment but she insisted she take it to hers- and also didn’t want her cage (that the dog used every night) because she “felt bad” but then she decided leaving my dog alone with no cage- while her roommates were home in the house and left the dog locked in a room and thought that was a good idea. I had my own proof but as you can see I didn’t get a chance to stand up for her. Sadly my lab passed away at 5 but this will always be a silly story to remember her by and she luckily wasn’t traumatized by people after this. She did continue to eat random things if left unattended for too long though. Still miss her!
What a joke Judge Judy has become. Not even allowing the plaintiff to plead her case? There are so many questions. Did the defendant ACTUALLY warn the plaintiff of the dog's issues? Has the defendant ever observed this behavior from her dog? Did this destruction happen while the plaintiff was home, at work, asleep? If the plaintiff was home, was she able or unable to restrain the dog when it began destroying things? Did the plaintiff place the dog in a secure location (such as a cage or secluded room) and the dog managed to break out in an unexpected way (or was it just improperly contained)? Why did the plaintiff bring the dog to her home in the first place instead of staying at the plaintiff's home? Were there any forms signed to waive or hold liability for the dog's destruction the plaintiff was not allowed to bring up? In the state they live in, who would be held accountable for another owner's dog destroying property while temporarily in the care of another person? We don't even know how much actual damage was done! ALL of these questions and more could point towards an interesting case, but the judge dismissed all of them before even letting the plaintiff FINISH HER INITIAL CASE! What judge does that and could be considered professional? I'm sorry but, I would be outraged and put in a complaint against her or any judge that dismissed a case before it was even allowed to be made. This is a farce.
@dex-6712 Was it? Because she didn't get the chance to plead her case to confirm. Like I'm not saying it wasn't. I'm just saying she didn't get a chance to plead her case for any possible discrepancy that might make it not her fault.
@@Gizzardx0Dogs behave differently when they're put in a new place without their owner. Also if you're gonna dog sit a dog then why wouldn't you ASK how the dog behaves beforehand
Should have never even made it to a courtroom! The owner of the dog should have stepped up way before that and offered to pay for the damages! Shows what kind of a shitty friend the defendant was!!
Why? Here's the thing, if the plaintiff actually did her job, which was to watch the dog, no damage would have happened. Not only that, but she said that she also had a dog, so tell me, how do we know which dog did the damage?(and spoiler alert, she can't know which one, since she admitted to not watching him, so how does she knows it's not her dog who reacted to another dog being there. Heck, maybe it's both dogs, so why should the defendant offer to pay for something that might not even be her dog's fault and could have been prevented if the plaintiff actually look after the dog like she said she would? That's not being a shitty friend, that's just plain old logic!)
@@DarkAnon100 Do you watch your animals every second of every day? I doubt it. I'm sure they had an actual job to go to. If my dog destroyed someone's home, then its my responsibility to take care of the damages!!
True. If you were babysitting a kid and they managed to cause you, your pet or your belongings harm despite your attempts to coral them, then the parent should have to take some responsibility for that kid. This woman’s dog destroyed her shit and clearly wasn’t properly trained. She brings up the point that she is responsible for having trained the dog to not be destructive, or at the very least she should take responsibility for the animal and the damage caused
Dogs sometimes act completely different when they’re in a new environment and are stressed. That doesn’t mean it was never trained. It means it was anxious.
@table2.0 We don't know the circumstances of this. Nothing (no dog, no baby) will behave perfectly all the time. Lauren couldn't have known for sure that her dog wouldn't destroy some stuff, especially when left alone for who knows how long.
This would be like dropping off a kid to be babysat, having the kid get into something and spill it all over your carpet and then suing the parents for the damages.
this is like dropping off your kid at a babysitter, the kid having a tantrum and wrecking/destroying everything in the babysitter’s home and the fault being moved completely to the babysitter to pay for all the damages because they couldn’t take care of some parents’ naughty kid
As a civil rights lawyer I'd recommend the victims of corruption in this video to report this judge right here for Negligence along with corruption as the judge seen here should of given the money to the victim as she did prove a good point as she was about to say that she didn't say the dog was trained or not so this judge here is completely in the wrong and would be striped of all power and Authority
The disappointment in her face, it was like a cigarette watching her think she actually could disagree until she realized her opinion means nothing.. Pure gold!
…has anyone here interacted with pets that aren’t their own? It’s at the very least it’s courteous to make whoever is looking after your pet aware of issues like this. If the dog bit her, would they still be this flippant? What if they’re a frequent floor wetter, or what if they throw up in certain circumstances? What if the dog needs certain medication the owner doesn’t explain or provide? It feels a lot less clear cut than “oh dogs do that”. She has a point that not all dogs do that, and she should have at least been informed of behavioral issues if they were going to result in destruction of property. Judge Judy was wildly unprofessional. She wasn’t willing to hear out the case at all, and had certain notions going in. The defendant didn’t even have to say anything. There’s a reason she’s a TV judge, this would have raised so many issues if this was a legitimate court.
That's what I'm thinking. The responsibility isn't directly about the dog's actions. It's about the dog's owner likely not conveying that very important information in advance when hiring the dog sitter.
My grandpa used to watch this every day, I remember going to my grandma's house and always seeing him in the same spot with his judge Judy pillow next to him and his chair legs up watching his show happily. He never really left the house or got up from his spot but I remember when I came over and he was up I loved to talk to him he always called me super brat and my mom brat. It's been around 2 years I think but it still hurts R.I.P Cory Jones I love you lots and miss you and so do grandma and mom ❤
Great lesson. Learn to say "fuck you" when asked to care for your friend's pets when you friends are heading out of town. Hard way to find out who are your friends and who's just using you. But lesson learned for life, at 18 years old. "Oh, you're heading out of town and you want me to watch your pet? I won't, but I'll give you the number of a nice kennel that'll cost you $150+/day. What? That's expensive? I'm sorry. The last person I did a favor like this for fucked me over completely, so I don't do this any longer. I'm sorry."
Im confused how anyone is on judge Judy’s side here actually… like that isn’t her bet defendant would have agreed to the pet sitting therein claiming the dog as theirs. Any damage following is the defendants responsibility like if your child committed propertydamage
"She did not told me that the dog would do this damage" . How do you see this? Like " be my dog sitter, I will pay you, btw my dog would destroy your room in 19:37 with total damage cost of 19 dollars, have a nice day!"
In italy, it is required by law to have insurance for the damage or injuries that a dog may cause to both private and communal property as well as people. I guess it's not the same in North America.
Good old fascist Italy micromanaging every detail of people’s lives. What’s next? Insurance for children or the kids get taken away? Absolutely absurd. You know, some things Europe has like healthcare and public transit would be nice in America. But we could do without some of the bureaucratic excessiveness, no thank you.
That’s ridiculous. What next? Insurance for children or the kids get taken away? How about we just insure the wildlife, that way people being inattentive at deer crossings is now everyone’s problem. Completely absurd and excessively bureaucratic. If you can’t get your dogs to behave, don’t have dogs. That’s what we have animal control for.
She thinks the defendant is responsible because the dog was being a dog?? While the dog was under HER care??? I wonder what goes through the minds of people nowadays…
Who knew that you need to watch a dog if you are dog sitting? 😂 I thought that it was free money glitch 😔. Do nothing, get money 💰. Who knew that you actually need to watch the dog and you would have responsibility? 😔 Free money glitch doesn't work smh. 😮
Accountability and honor has completely gone out the window. If my dog destroyed the pet sitters house, I would at least pay for 50% of the damages. This shouldn’t have even gotten all the way to small claims court. This reminds me of the teenagers who broke my windshield with a baseball and their parents completely enabled their behavior and told me to go pound sand over the $300 in damages. I should have called the police.

If she was sitting my dog she would file for psychological abuse and distress.
If she were sitting for my dog, I'd be suing her for not watching my dog.
If I were sitting your dog and it tore my place up. You'd come back to a dead dog. 😮
When she said goodbye, the "GET OUT!" meme went off in my head.
Love the way the defendant laughs a little while the other woman is explaining that the dog "wasn't trained well enough" lol.
court speedrun any%
XD
This is as hilarious as the one where one airhead sued another woman that she threw out of their shared place. When the airhead couldn't afford the place on her own and had to move herself, she wanted the woman to pay her moving costs. JJ looked at her like she was...an airhead.
Wait, what
Never argue with a Judge, no matter who's right or who's wrong
That's the moral of the story
Her "Theory" was stupid what are you talking about??
@@Lex_Superior you replied to the wrong comment
Why... Isn't that why there are juries?
@@pwnthrower Don't think so, just think Lex is one of those people who has to pick an argument with anyone and everyone for no reason.
@crispycruiser4654 oh, no doubt about that. But when I replied to them, there was another comment that actually included the word "theory", and it was right above or below the one they replied to. I don't see it anymore though
In the real world, the dogs owner is 100% liable
She got speechless after the GOODBYE 😂😂
Speaking as someone who works in pet care, there is frequently pertinent information concerning the animal's personality that should be communicated.
THANK YOOOOUUUUU!! I don’t understand how everyone is agreeing that it’s 100% the sitters fault. People hate accountability these days. She knew her damn dog tears property. I know damn well it has done it before and she knows as well but failed to communicate that behavior to her.
@@CosmicBeing538 We own a miniature dachshund who was born blind and deaf. The damn thing hunts our cats. The little psycho has caught our cats. Best believe we would tell that to a sitter.
I feel like it would also just be common courtesy to pay to cover things that YOUR dog destroyed.
@@ChocolateRouge Yeah I was disappointed with Judy on this one. That was really ignorant to make that girl look stupid like that.
I love how you can hear someone laughing at the end of the video
It was the plaintiffs responsibility, it doesn't matter what was destroyed.
@dex-6712 Was it? Because she didn't get the chance to plead her case to confirm. Like I'm not saying it wasn't. I'm just saying she didn't get a chance to plead her case for any possible discrepancy that might make it not her fault.

THE OTHER ONE DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO SPEAK LMAOOOO
They flew those people out there for that 😂
It's located in California, and these people seem like they're from California as well. Most likely an effortless attempt to get on TV
I actually think that the defendant is liable for her dog's damages. If she was a decent person she would offer to pay for the damages.
She’s supposed to watch the dog she’s supposed to be pet sitting 😂 the owner isnt responsible for that
The 2nd sentence is correct, but that doesn’t make them liable.
@@RBSmadathe second sentence isnt even correct, because, if she did her damn job of watching the dog, none of this would have happened to begin with
@@yasw315 The owner is responsible for withholding information. Like how the dog is dangerous when left alone.
@@Gizzardx0Dogs behave differently when they're put in a new place without their owner. Also if you're gonna dog sit a dog then why wouldn't you ASK how the dog behaves beforehand
“GOODBYE! 😄 👋👋👋” so real
😂😂😂😂 that "goodbye!" 👏👏👏☠️🤣 👋👋👋
“Uhh i disagree with your-“
“BYEE!” she’s iconic
Your honor my dog ate my homework
If you're pet sitting, it's your responsibility to keep the dog in check.
Watching two unskippable 30 second ads last longer than this case
I disagree with Judy here. If you haven’t house trained your dog, you shouldn’t be putting it in someone else’s house.
"Do you have a dog?" "Yes, but-" "Case dismissed. Goodbye!"
The plaintiff had no way of proving which dog did it and lost instantly.
Dogs sometimes act completely different when they’re in a new environment and are stressed. That doesn’t mean it was never trained. It means it was anxious.
Except she was supposed to be watching the dog and if the dog was able to destroy that much she obviously wasn't watching the dog lol
The background music coming in during the wave took me out LOL
As a civil rights lawyer I'd recommend the victims of corruption in this video to report this judge right here for Negligence along with corruption as the judge seen here should of given the money to the victim as she did prove a good point as she was about to say that she didn't say the dog was trained or not so this judge here is completely in the wrong and would be striped of all power and Authority
Shut up🙄🙄🙄
The disappointment in her face, it was like a cigarette watching her think she actually could disagree until she realized her opinion means nothing..
It's about the dog's owner likely not conveying that very important information in advance when hiring the dog sitter.
help the sass into the “goodbye 😘”
I love how she was just trying to beat the world record by speed running the court.

The delivery of “goodbye!” is priceless 😂
I’ve never seen a court speeding but I’m here for it!
I'm sorry."
She literal speed runned the court case😂
Some one edit the dream Minecraft speed run music into this😂😂
That’s actually so rude, if their dog did it it their responsibility to take ownership over it. Honestly…..
That one sidequest you have to do when you are playing an online game and you have ten seconds rest:
Im confused how anyone is on judge Judy’s side here actually… like that isn’t her bet defendant would have agreed to the pet sitting therein claiming the dog as theirs. Any damage following is the defendants responsibility like if your child committed propertydamage
I'm sorry but the girl was right. If the owner of the dog knows that the dog can do this then they should warn the pet sitter
I don't even have a dog. Would I need to have it?
0:23 the lady in the back had me dying🙏😭
She thinks the defendant is responsible because the dog was being a dog??
While the dog was under HER care???
I wonder what goes through the minds of people nowadays…
I disagree with Judge Judy too. Your pet destroys someone's house, you should be liable and pay for damages.
Agree .
defendant didn't even have to talk 💀
