We had a 25lb turkey, stuffing that takes a while to make, broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce, Mac and cheese, baked beans, green bean casserole, corn pudding, creamy butternut squash, cranberry relish, ham, deviled eggs, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffed zucchini boats, potato salad, macaroni salad, pumpkin pie, chocolate silk pie, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, pistachio pudding salad, then the carrots and other veggies on the giant dish. I'm sure I'm missing something! Lol... it was an awesome day!! Praise God for everything we had to eat, and for everyone that was here (22 of us this year), amen Lord.🍃✝️🍃

1 can shoe peg corn
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup sour cream
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 stick butter
1/2 cup slivered almonds or chopped pecans
1 sleeve ritz crackers
Butter casserole dish, layer green beans(drained) and shoe peg corn.
Put chopped onion, sour cream, cream of celery soup, and Cheddar cheese in sauce pan, heat until everything is well combined. Pour over layered vegetables. Melt butter, pour over one sleeve crushed Ritz crackers, add slivered almonds,or chopped pecans. Bake at 350° until bubbly, approximately 35 minutes(ovens vary)

Everything looks so tasty! I cooked a big dinner on Saturday with our family and grandkids them today I cooked a smaller Turkey for my next door neighbor. Her Daddy passed a few months ago and then they had to put their little dog to sleep yesterday, so I didn’t want them to be alone. It would have been just Jerry and me anyway, so we were blessed to have them come. We had Turkey, cornbread dressing, Granny green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, and my neighbor’s husband, (he’s the cook in the family), made sweet potatoes topped with brown sugar and pecans. For dessert I made a pecan pie and a Hot Chocolate Cake. Needless to say, we’re stuffed. So many blessings to be thankful for. You and Chris are one of our blessings. Y’all are genuine people. Tammy, I’m so thankful I found your Bible study on Real Southern Women. Such a blessing! Much love to you both.❤️✝️🍁🍂🦃

Hi, Dolores, One year, I just wasn't up to cooking Thanksgiving dinner either and wanted to sit and enjoy the day with everyone instead of being in the kitchen. So, my hubby and I made spaghetti with salad and awesome garlic bread and all kinds of appetizers on Wednesday. I did, however, make your pumpkin and mincemeat pies and brownies. I must admit it was different, but very enjoyable. The only thing we really missed about not having turkey was "hot turkey sandwiches" for the next couple days and my turkey gravy is the bomb, so, that was kinda sad, but we survived! I let my family know in advance that we were having spaghetti and they were all okay with it! So, I say, "good for you," and like you said, very little cleanup!
I made myself some dressing and sweet potatoes and big corn are in the oven now I’ll be by myself but that’s OK happy Thanksgiving to you guys thanks for what you do

Thank you for re-posting your roasted turkey recipe from a few years back!!! It is by far the most delicious turkey ever!! I had people who didn't even really like turkey, say it was the most flavorful, moist turkey they've ever had! Soooo good...thank you again!! 💕
I'm cooking with my sisters Friday for ours, I just took turkey breasts out of the sous vide pot while ago and put them in the refrigerator. So tender and moist. Luv your recipes and thanks so much for your and Chris' videos! Wishing yall a blessed season.
Years ago when they had home economics in schools, one of the first recipes we learned to make was a white sauce. Then we added the cheese for the cheese sauce poured it over toast and topped with bacon lots of bacon. It was so good called welsh rabbit. Delicious easy and cheap.
Yes our family would pour it over Cauliflower with nutmeg.
You are cute as a button. I’m watching this while my food is cooking. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, rainbow carrots, cloverleaf rolls and buttermilk pie for dessert. Just the basics today. I eat like a bird so I don’t need tons of leftovers. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving with your family. We call those white strands in eggs “snags”.

Since there was only five of us, she made cornish hens stuffed with this delious' rice, cranberry, orange stuffing., sweet corn casarole, broccoli apple pecan cranberry sweet onion salad with poppy seed dressing and dinner rolls. For dessert we have pumpkin pie and a pear pie. She loves to cook just like me. My daughter and son in law were making dinner for a family today that don't have much in their lives. My other daughter lives in Ohio and my son lives more than 3 hours away...but we all talked with each other today and we be seeing each other at Christmas, Lord willing!

I made Turkey breast, your cornbread dressing, but mine came out too wet, Lol! Made Mac and cheese, green beans with bacon, and mushroom gravy on the side. Also made a sweet potato mash, pumpkin and pecan muffins, and bread. Turkey gravy and cranberry sauce from the can…Thank God for His Blessings! Usually about a couple weeks before Thanksgiving, I make a huge batch of dressing. I divide it in to gallon freezer bags. A couple days before Thanks giving I take out enough dressing for Thanksgiving, and leave the remainder for Christmas. I've been doing this for years, and it sure saves a lot of time, and to me the flavor is even better.
I use a combination of sweet and dill in my Angel Eggs.

Yes Jesus. Homemade Chocolate pie is my absolute favorite. My nanny ( my dad's moma) taught me that recipe. It's a labor of love with having to standing over it and stir stir stir til thick. Lol. But ain't nothing better.

For dinner we had Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, ham, cheesy potatoes, cranberries, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, cabbage casserole, asparagus, deviled eggs, salad, tomatoe pie, and polish pickle soup. Can you believe it?? Dessert was cheese cake and pumpkin pie. We are thankful and blessed by our Lord and thank Him for everything! May God bless you and your family!

I thought I would start my dressing the night before in the crockpot and let it cook on low while sleeping. Well I got up after seven hours, and low and behold our dressing was burnt. Mostly around the edges so it was salvageable. They sure don’t make crockpots the way they used to. Then I lost my meat thermometer. Go figure. Thanks for posting today. It was nice of you since you’re mostly busy on Thanksgiving to do that for us. Happy Thanksgiving to y’all.

Happy Thanksgiving! I grew up on chocolate and lemon pies every Christmas and Thanksgiving. I hadn’t had them in years until I found your recipes… I’ve made several in the past few weeks and your recipes are perfect! I planned on surprising my brother with them for Thanksgiving, but he passed very unexpectedly last week. Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Our oldest boy made the eggs one year, and reached for the cayenne instead of the paprika. They were some of the best eggs my hubby had ever had! Who knew?
Hello there Tammy and Chris, Tammy I’m glad you’re feeling better but you have such a passion for serving your family with your delicious cooking and baking, I believe that God gives you the strength that you need on a daily basis to serve your family and your friends and the public as you share your recipes. We went camping for Thanksgiving and I made homemade chicken and dumplings before we left and put them in mason jars and I’ll sell fresh turnip greens that I store in Mason jars I made a charcuterie dessert board with many desserts on it. With our main meal served cranberry sauce pickled okra and of course sweet Iced tea. Tammy you have such a joy in your heart and even in your accountants when you are cooking and baking and Chris is such a good help make to you during this time. May God bless your efforts in great your favor, good health, healing, and make lots of memories with your family during this holiday season
We had a potluck lunch at moms today with my siblings and their families. We had turkey, dressing, gravy, a copycat spiral ham, homemade egg noodles, green beans, sweet potato souffle, rolls, brussel sprouts, green beans, broccoli casserole, cranberries, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, chocolate pie and pecan pie brownies. It was delicious. We are having our dinner with our daughter, son in law and grandson. We are having turkey, spiral ham, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, broccoli casserole, rolls, pumpkin and pecan oie
Having bacon wrapped Turkey tenderloin green beans sautéed with panchetta and chicken broth with mushrooms sausage stuffing and homemade yeast rolls with pumpkin pie and whipped cream. The sad part? I am not even hungry
lol my mother would say the same thing! She’d cook all day and taste test along the way…come time to eat, she wasn’t hungry.

Hey Tammy...I have always done the recipe on the box also...a lot of people think it takes too long.... I never spray the bottom of my pan tho and everything has always come out fine....it is always delicious!! The recipe doesn't call for butter, at least I never used it until I tried yours...It is delicious also...I always make an extra amount of filling because everyone in my family love the cookies more than bananas...Lol... and if you want it to be nice and smooth and not dry, the extra batch keeps it from being that way cause once it is cooked and sets, the cookies and everything start to absorb a lot of the filling. I never like eating it after the first day for just reason...I started watching your channel last year and I love you and your recipes!! I see you make a mess everywhere just as I do!! Doesn't matter huh, as long as we clean it up...Keep bringing us those wonderful recipes...🥰🥰❤

Can’t believe that you’ll are in the south and aren’t having at least one pecan pie! I live in southern Indiana and it’s a must pecan and pumpkin pies! And it also legal to use all the gravy you can get on your plate. And it’s been declared in our house that on thanksgiving day gravy can be a beverage.

People without fibro don't understand fibro days. I had a fibro kinda day today I sat straight up at mom's and went to sleep. I NEVER do that. Santa doesn't visit me anymore, but I wish that he would leave me some of those measuring spoons and the small one's in my stocking 😢

Aww Susan, I couldn't help but notice your post; I'm so sorry about your fibro. I've had it since ~1998. I think mine has improved w/age but it's hard to tell b/c of spinal issues. Anyway, I hope Santa knows your wishes & you'll get those spoons! (Ie, let a loved one know?:) Take care Susan!

I didn't was over looked when presents were given. ( I didn't even know that after 15 years we were exchanging gifts) but I just sat there and said nothing. I cried when I got home. After everything I have been through with the cancer and everything else my siblings could be so mean nor tell me to get a little something for everyone. Or make something.

So is pain that has no good answer. We have all the illness w/NONE of the empathy. My daughter's Indian boyfriend spent 2 days making chicken and duck beriani, my daughter souve vide a lamb leg, and I brought a Hickory Farm's spiral cut smoked ham. No turkey, dressing, or cranberries. I made the usual hot and spicy turnips (a recipe from the Salem Croft Inn in Mass.) Other veggies--roasted fennel, maple glazed sweet potatoes, a mashed starchy South American veggy I was not familiar with. A friend brought a squash and sage pie (sweet, delicious) and my special request, a pecan pie. Oh, and homemade wine and peach brandy. Still hungry for a real Thanksgiving.

So sorry to hear you have Fibromyalgia. I feel your pain...I tend to overdo, and then have to take to the bed for a few days afterward. My husband used to tell me not to overdo...but then he wanted all of the good food. Lol

I made turkey breast mashed Poe. Gravy sweet Poe. Green beans rolls jello salad homade dressing cranberry sauce. I like it all better the next day warmed up. Lol.

You eggs look very good. I like the paprika on top and I put a slice of black olive, or pimento olive on top, because I don't do piping. 😄
We have butterball turkey and dressing and mashed potatoes and peas and Sweet potatoes and deviled eggs and Brown and serve rolls and pumpkin pie with whipped cream and chocolate pie and Cherry Pepsi and cherry Dr Pepper.
