Heck, even the Foreign Affairs Police officer-in-charge told me that the doesn't like him very much since he only says nice things about China for the money. Notice that I'm not talking about getting money from the government, but YT and other social media platforms. I tend to agree with that. Also, he doesn't know anything about history and culture and doesn't seem interested in learning the language.

Here it is, the 2 Zhaoqing guys featured in a video. Spitting was much worse not too long ago. I could recall walking outside the Suzhou railway station which resembled a minefield, some 15 years ago. To me, smoking inside the restaurants (not so much in tier 1 cities) is very annoying.

I am not Chinese, but I remember some episodes where I spoke loudly on the subway or street. I met a friend after four years, so I was happy and spoke loudly. I have difficulty adjusting my volume. It was during the time of COVID phobia, so a guy looked at me for talking loudly. I feel a little embarrassed when I remember that episode.
But South Korea is not a quiet place. South Korean truck sellers with loud audio systems annoy people in residential areas, and during election dates, all the noisy campaign trucks are a big nuisance.I keep reporting noisy trucks to the police, but it's hard to reduce their presence. Election campaign trucks are allowed to make noise by politicians.

China has developed too fast. It took only 40 years from nothing to the current scale. So there is a huge generation gap between the old and the new generation. The old generation used to live in a very difficult environment to support their families. They were also the generation that was sacrificed for China's development. So although I don't like some of their uncivilized habits, I understand and tolerate them.

Thanks Tony, I love this video. The thing about spitting, yeah, they will die-out with older generation. However, loud talking is not, because the reason for speaking very loud, especially in restaurants is Chinese really love to chat when dinning together, and restaurants are packed with people, so you have 10x more people talking at the same time, you can't hear a thing if you don't talk out loud, and it adds to the feel of a very down to earth feel to it, some people love it, and some hate it. the "Noise" and the "Spitting" is definitely a generational thing and isnt even just mainland China..... they (the older gen in HK) used to do it, my grandma did it! The noise isnt only China either, UK buses with kids at home time or select aunties as well can be noisy
Ive seen spitting in the UK too, not neccessarily Brits, but European!
One thing that was horriffic that i witnessed in the UK that was British was either Friday or Saturaday night Victoria to Croydon train, i cant remember if it was a young english woman with indian boy friend either threw up or defecated in the train carriage and the whole entire carriage evacuated because of the smell!!!!
