The way he upholds his character as well as the pure rage while being in complete control of the situation really exudes a well established villain by Duncan’s acting capabilities. A legendary actor gone but not forgotten, RIP big kind soul Michael Clarke Duncan
Michale Clarke Duncan literally captures the physicality of Wilson Fisk. Tall, wide, huge chunks of muscle in his body, and a growling deep voice. Man was awesome in this role.
Both this and Vincent's portrayals were amazing in their own takes on the character but I always found this version much more menacing because he seems to enjoy inflicting suffering as much as he can, especially expression after breaking his bodyguards neck
as funny as it is its kinda accurate to kingpins mannerisms, hes calm and collected and badass then when he snaps he loses all of his cadence and goes full viceral murdered, one of the many reasons that he was such a good kingpin
A sadness that there wasn't more of Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin in other movies, it would have been incredible to see him against Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Thomas Jane's Punisher and if the third Spider-Man movie had had a more focused story in Sandman without Venom, they could put Flint Marko as a guy who works for Fisk in exchange for money to take care of his daughter Penny and after Marko becomes Sandman, Fisk makes a deal with him to bring the Spider-Man in exchange for a fortune to pay for Penny's treatments
I feel like Micheal Clark Duncan's kingpin is very underated. One of the 3 performances for me 1. TAS Spider-Man (1990s) 2. Daredevil movie and Spider-Man TAS (2003) 3. Into the Spiderverse
Michael's characters always were kind and good people. When I was a kid I asked myself what could happen if this giant guy gets mad. This scene helps me a lot about that question

😂 This is such a 2000s movie; his stance with the cane, the cigar, the pants creaming expression from killing your own henchman. I love it.
Micheal Clark Dunkin was an extremely good actor with all the aces: physical presence, acting chops,& such a tremendous talent.gone way too soon.
its not about the money spiderman, its about that exaggerated swagger
Ikr hes black in this movie too lol
So polite, the Kingpin could have told to lick the stick clean.
RIP Michael - we all miss you!
"They will cut the tongues" is such a Kingpin thing to say.
One of my favorite villain portrayals
@ 1:11 your reaction when you accidentally get your finger pinch on the door. 🤣
MCD was a badass kingpin 🔥
Badass :)
Michael Clarke Duncan really outdid the Kingpin character with his absolutely profound performance.
Michael Clarke Duncan was a big scary man. Rest in Peace
this was the first version of kingpin i saw as a kid, i feel like his voice fits so good with the character
Both this and Vincent's portrayals were amazing in their own takes on the character but I always found this version much more menacing because he seems to enjoy inflicting suffering as much as he can, especially expression after breaking his bodyguards neck
RIP to Michael Clarke Duncan. His version of the Kingpin was the best thing about that Daredevil movie
along with Colin Farrell as Bullseye
No one else couldve been Kingpin. MCD was PERFECT!
1:11 His face when he yells
Lmfao
as funny as it is its kinda accurate to kingpins mannerisms, hes calm and collected and badass then when he snaps he loses all of his cadence and goes full viceral murdered, one of the many reasons that he was such a good kingpin
Favourite Kingpin. Has the physical attributes and the voice.
Just saw Daredevil for the first time and man it did not deserve the critics it got! Duncan made an EPIC Kingpin!
R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan ❤️
The thing I like Duncan's rendition of Kingpin is he have the swag and confidence of being a crime lord
He was the best kingpin in my opinion. RIP man
Rest In Peace Michael Clarke Duncan as kingpin
Man he is way bigger than his bodyguards
Truthfully, MCD has the perfect stature for Kingpin
Michael Clarke Duncan's voice is so soothing, like you just want to give him a lot of Care Bear Hugs.
Rest in peace Michael Clarke Duncan.🕊🙏🏾😥💜
Spider-Man 1992 - Wilson Fisk: “Estimetely, my body fat is only 30%, Let me show you what 300 pounds of pure muscle can do!”
Actually he said two percent
2% of his body is fat. 400 lbs of muscle!!
@@treywilliams7223 different fisk
he was an incredible kingpin
I laugh a lot with this entrance of kingpin , with the 2000 rap song and this kingpin with the pose 🤣🤣
Rest in peace john coffey
I feel like Micheal Clark Duncan's kingpin is very underated. One of the 3 performances for me
1. TAS Spider-Man (1990s)
2. Daredevil movie and Spider-Man TAS (2003)
3. Into the Spiderverse
Michael's characters always were kind and good people. When I was a kid I asked myself what could happen if this giant guy gets mad. This scene helps me a lot about that question
Best Kingpin period.
I dare say i like michal duncans version of the kingpin because hes a mix of a brute and sophisticated gentleman intelligent but savage the way duncan strutes with the cane and smoking the cigar to a primative roar while killing of his guards is brillant
Fun fact: Michael Clarke Duncans Kingpin was in Spider-Man The New Animated Series. In that show Kingpin was also black and Duncan voiced him.
Bc that show took place in a combined universe of the RaimiVerse and the Daredevil movie.
@@ArachKing Could be accurate because in that show Spider-Man had organic webbing, Peter was studying in same college as in movie, MJ was acting in theatre and Peter failing to arrive thereand Harrys dad being dead blaming Spider-Man.
Still visually very different. Kingpin in that show is 3 times size of Duncan, Harry has blonde hair and Connors is different. Also in show there is a lot of non-comic characters invented just for the show.
