Why I can not activate the "visibility" of the 25 transversal bodies after "combine". I dont have the option when click right on the body on left menu. Somebody can help please ? Sorry I'm so late 😂 (I use Inventor 2020) Thank you
I found the answer !!! for those who are interested : When doing the "Combine" activate the check box "Keep Toolbody" so all the cutting tool bodies will be still available and not disappear after combine. THANK YOU @Lauri Link for this amazing tutorial
Teach me online. Just starting out, I am old school carpenter in Dallas. I can build that by hand....layout and everything but am learning inventor. I’ll pay for instruction if reasonable
As I follow your steps, on the "combine" step it gives an error: "at least 2 solid bodies are required" and I can't go on. In addition I guess a regular Inventor can't do that "dress up" function as I nee woodwork, am I right?
Yep if you have add-in app woodwork for inventor then you have "dress up" functionality. You can to it inventor also but you need to create 2d projected sketch for every single ribs. It just takes more time. If you extrude each rib dont forgot to press "new solid" button. If you have multi solids Then you only can make combine.
For the combine : The freeform is one solid body. For combining you need a second body. The rib that is created needs to be extruded as a new body. You can do this by selecting the last of the extrude options (Add/delete etc.) in the extrude options where you define a extrution. The button looks like a box with a star next to it.

WoW. Now I need to upgrade my inventor version. Great job!!
NICE !!!!

Where can we find the Woodesign plugin ?
do you have step by step tutorial of this skeleton sun chair?
Great!!!!
A bit late to this, but there was no "visibility" option for the legs to make them reappear after they cut the underside of the chair.
If you do combine command then you should use checkbox "keep tool body"
@@LauriLink okay.. thank you :)
