- Here is my one year review of the Retay Gordion! I was surprised in the best way with this firearm and ready for another long season of use with it!

I used my new Retay Gordion all last duck season here in Kentucky and it was flawless. Nice handling, good looking, reliable shotgun.
As others mentioned, the big slide release button and be pulled away from the receiver to dump shells from the mag.
You should push the feed ramp in first.
When unloading the gun take out the shell in the chamber, then close the chamber push your thumb up on the shell tray towards the chamber and pull the retay button “changing button” out “away from the gun” making both the shells in the tube come out
A Retay 12 gauge Gordion is a great shotgun for the money. The Masai Mara is their most expensive model.
Great video Kerr! There aren’t very many good reviews on this gun so this helped a lot. I figured I could spend around 800-850 for one of these and then have it ceracoated and it still be cheaper than a benelli 😂
Just shot my first 100 rounds through mine. I wanted a super black eagle 3 my whole life. This gun runs 950 compared to 1500 for a benelli. This gun is almost a replica of a benelli super black eagle 3 and I love it. Super light and dexterous
I just return from snow goose hunt in SD using a gordion for the first time. I too normally shoot an 870. First impression in my mind was it’s a Benelli knock off and was waiting for it to break. I found that it was very fun to shoot and I only had one misfire caused by the nut being tight enough at the fore grip. The first day I found myself emptying the gun way to fast. The only thing I didn’t care for was I thought it would be nice if the rail was a little taller like the SBE2 and franchi my dad and brother were shooting
I have a Benelli which has the same system to have the bolt lock back. The way I unload is just pull the handle back and the first shell comes out then let the handle go and hit the button to drop the next shell and pull back and then let it go forward and pull back again to eject that shell then repeat for the third shell. May not be any faster but keeps you from ever having to hit the button to close the chamber.
If you want a faster unload just pull the bolt back to pull the shell out of the chamber flip the gun over and push the lifter up and push in the side bar that holds the shell in the tube and it will be a way faster unload, I do it on my sx4, and sbe3
CLP on the rails make the inertia run better.
Retay like a Toyota corola ..its a Great shoutgun, very rare faults .
If you look in the loading port, there’s a lil mechanism that actually holds the shell inside of the tube, if you press it in, it will throw a shell straight out the bottom.
Retay are goats not going to lie I beat the straight crap out of my gun this year ran from early teal threw squirrel threw Arkansas Texas Louisiana ok Missouri and Iowa duck and goose season deer season now in to Turkey no cleaning just oil.retay customer service is awesome I talked to the ceo at the ducks expo at Texas motor speedway on one little issue I had a Minor issue I mean minor issue he bent over backwards for me to fix it he gave me his personal phone number if I had any issues and called me several time threw out my season check up on it
Great video! Just wanted to add that, you should not have an issue with the bolt closing all the way. It has the inertia plus system and it's supposed to close every time. I also have the Gordion and I can't make the bolt not close. You may need to reach out to retay about that. They have great customer service. Thanks
yes, he's getting the "Benelli Click", the Retay shouldn't do that. I can't make my Gordion not close.

Well when you rip benelli off would you not expect that to happen, gun is identical

Fast three times or put your hands by the feed ramp and push the shell holder in and the 2 will come out of the magazine then just pull the bolt for the third.
Hey Colton, kinda thinking that Remington 870 is still your favorite gun.

If you will look inside we’re you load your shells there is a peace that holds your shells in the tube if you will push that in the shells will come out

What guy spends good money on a gun and doesn't clean it? I enjoy cleaning my guns and try to understand how they work. Don't like bumping the bolt out battery then l have to babysit the gun. Weak spring / dirty gun no mag tube extension is a deal breaker for snow goose hunters.
