Mine is also very load, was driving me nuts. Also the cord always got in the way for me. And the magnetic shim stretched out very quickly. Put mine away. And bought the Altenew hand cranking one. So cute and works great for those little dies. It has three inch wide plates. I have not replaced the plates for 6 months with everyday use. They are still flat. Fits great in a small space.
I wish I would have known how small the cut plates are. I would have shelled out $50 more to fo bigger cuts. I have all these dies I cannot use EVER!!!!
I sold the Gemini Go and only used it once! LOL!! So, I guess you can say I prefer the Marquise. The go has a pretty small opening, whereas the Marquise is half the price and can fit a whole standard A2 size card front.
@@VianneyCreates thank you. That’s what I was thinking. They gifted me the go buy never opened it cause I have the Jr. after seeing you I live how u use the Marquee. Marquee it is. Thank you!
Just received my Gemini Go and yes it is very noisy. My question is does anyone know if I can cut my Gemini double sided dies, and if so what plates to use? Thanks
Maybe try putting the magnetic mat between the purple mat and the plastic shim? Jennifer Mcguire recommended that for the Gemini jr. I hate that the machine is so loud..otherwise its lovely
I bought this machine and now I’m sending it back. Everything jams in it. I do the sandwich it says to use, but it jams. Once it jams, it’s very difficult to get everything out.
I have a Gemini Go also. Mine did not make that noise that yours did. I was like, “Where was that noise coming from?” I went back and listened to someone else’s video with the Go and hers did not make that noise either. Just wanted you to know.
I laughed so hard, as I, among with at least three others who did a review , did the exact same thing. With those thicker multi media dies I learned you have to remove the plastic shim and use the metal one......mind you that was after I cut a rose into my embossing mat! Thanks for sharing and thank God they can be replaced! I just got a large piece from the hardware store and cut it down to size. Tfs!
Wow.My brand new Gemini sounds like that. Maybe I do need to send it back. I'm so glad I watched this. That is too much to pay for a defective machine. But OMG can't it cut through your embossing mat. I'm learning so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing. ♡♡♡
Awesome tutorial! I keep my Gemini Go on my desk and I ❤️ it!! Yes it’s very loud! I think because it’s the same machine as the big Mama only smaller. Thanks for sharing! I wish I had bought the Jr. instead of my AG Empress🥵 her plates and mats are too expensive and ware out easily 😩
I have the go and mine doesn't sound as loud as yours but it could be just the way my sound on my computer is. Here I was doing my sandwich all wrong. I put the clear plate, plastic plate, metal shim, magnetic shim, die, paper, and clear plate. Shoot maybe my clear plates would be in better shape if I had put the metal shim on top of the die.....LOL. I even read the directions. I don't know how I ended up doing it the wrong way. As far as the embossing mat I don't know how the heck that happened. You put it together they way the book says. I do love my Gemini go though. I can leave it on my craft table. Comes in handy to do those little dies.
Too funny. They have their sandwiches in the manual, but Sara always does it differently. Whatever works! (: I already have it set up on my craft table, too! I think it will make it so I use my dies more.
I was screaming Noooooo your die cuttig side always stays on top of all your plates and shims except for the cutting plate you cut on. So the rubber shim should have gone under your die not on top of it. Hope this makes scense.
Sorry this doesn’t work with a battery pack. I bought this and the power pack and the cable to go with it. It does not work. I borrowed my husband s much more powerful power pack and that did not work either.
VianneyCreates as you know, their customer service in CA is awesome. Give them a call. Good luck. The Empress is very quiet but I have way too many machines. Lol
Hi! Thank you. I will call if the items aren't in a seperate box (with the rest of my second order). I do remember the gal here in CA saying that whenever a machine is ordered it goes out on its own (she told me that when I called about the embossing board). Even though I wasn't specifically asking about that, I guess she knew that I may have a question about that! LOL! Hopefully, the extras are in with the rest of the order when it arrives.
You didn’t do it incorrectly. I did it, using a regular cutting die, and so have many people on the Facebook site. I don’t know if they have ever addressed the issue. Enjoyed your video. Tfs
I have the Go and about 10 other cutting machines. I have two sidekicks just like you. I have the regular size Gemini but not the jr. It seemed redundant to buy the jr. because I own so many other cutting machines. The Go is very loud and makes strange noises I thought something was wrong with it. But I like the Go because it is powerful, electronic, and portable. And because of the size of the opening, I can use the small dies from other companies unlike the sidekick and some of the other smaller machines. I don't travel with the Go often but when I have it's been right on time. You probably can use the charging bank you mentioned. I have so many machines that I can't ever remember how to do each sandwich for different machines. Which means I also have cut through the magnetic mat following their instructions. The Go is so powerful that I have deep cut marks in my metal shim magnetic shims and sometimes when I get the sandwich wrong, the die has gotten stuck in the clear plate, paper and all. But in spite of the hassle I'm keeping this little powerful but slow machine.
It is very powerful, but maybe they need to redo the sandwiches bc I have the same issue. The dies really punch into the plates. Thanks for sharing your experience. I do have all three machines now, but the Junior is basically like my Anna Griffin Empress. Maybe I should have skipped on it! (:
I bought mine used from a friend and don't use it. I love my Anna Griffin Empress. This is SO LOUD that I can't use it at crops which was the whole purpose. I'm going to post mine on FB marketplace for FREE. I don't feel good about selling it as no one is going to want it with that noise!!! Horrible design I already sold my bigger Gemini so I'm done with that brand!
I totally hear you! I think all of the Geminis are pretty loud, and the main reason I would pause when filming...to cut. I don't think people would want to hear that! LOL!!

I just watched your video and love it! TFS, I can't find the black cord for the machine would you know where I can purchase one?
What is the advantage of getting all those electronic machines? It seems they do the same thing.
I wish I would have known how small the cut plates are. I would have shelled out $50 more to fo bigger cuts. I have all these dies I cannot use EVER!!!!
Hi there? Do You prefer the Gemini go or the Marquee? I’m on the fence on which one to buy?
I sold the Gemini Go and only used it once! LOL!! So, I guess you can say I prefer the Marquise. The go has a pretty small opening, whereas the Marquise is half the price and can fit a whole standard A2 size card front.

Just received my Gemini Go and yes it is very noisy. My question is does anyone know if I can cut my Gemini double sided dies, and if so what plates to use? Thanks
It should be able to cut the double sided dies, but they have not yet made the special plates for it.
Maybe try putting the magnetic mat between the purple mat and the plastic shim? Jennifer Mcguire recommended that for the Gemini jr.
I hate that the machine is so loud..otherwise its lovely

Thank you so much, I have had it exchanged since this video.

Oh, no! LOL!! That was so crazy...it cut like butter! LOL!
Do sizzler die work with this?
I'm not sure bc Sizzlits have an odd thickness to them. I haven't tried it.
I'd rather have the noise then hearing my bones rattle as I turn it with the non-electronic machine!!
LOL!! I'd have to agree with that! (:
Stephanie McKnight - 😁 😂 😂
I like the go but not the fact that it's slow. That drives me crazy. Debating on selling it or keep it.
It is pretty slow. Or are we just impatient? I find myself trying to pull it through faster, and that's not good. LOL!
Wow.My brand new Gemini sounds like that. Maybe I do need to send it back. I'm so glad I watched this. That is too much to pay for a defective machine. But OMG can't it cut through your embossing mat. I'm learning so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing. ♡♡♡
If you read some of the comments, people said that apparently the Go always cuts through the embossing mats!! LOL!! So crazy.
Mine wont work at all. Going to trash it soon
I'm so sorry! It wasn't my favorite, either!
Vianney, you took one for the team! I’ve heard so many others have similar issues! I’ll let you know how I get on with mine!
Too funny! I couldn't even comprehend what happened for a second. LOL!!

So glad! TY!

WOW! A real whoopsie!! Thanks for the tip, that's how we learn stuff!
LOL!!! So many people commented that "it's common." What? LOL!!

Sorry to hear that, thanks for sharing your experience.
Hi V! Thank you for reviewing the 'Go'. I forgot I have this machine too...yikes! 🙋🏼♀️
I don't think I've fired her up since this review, but i should use her more often!!
I wish we were neighbors. With your craft room and mine we would have so much fun.
I know we would!!
Whoopsie!! It happens to the best of us!! Great video as always Vianney!! Got me thinking abot the gemini go
It's a good little machine, but I probably will exchange it.
My fav part..."It better be there Thats all im saying"
LOL!! TY!
The machine is loud because it is on the glass mat.
No, it was loud because it was loud! LOL! I exchanged it and the replacement is much quieter.
It’s really loud but wow! It cuts great!! Lol!
Very loud! I don't think I noticed the others have that volume of noise!
VianneyCreates as you know, their customer service in CA is awesome. Give them a call. Good luck. The Empress is very quiet but I have way too many machines. Lol

Oh, ok! Good to know! That's crazy. That was too funny, it reminded me of that little girl that burned her hair off with the curling iron! LOL!
VianneyCreates omg, the look on her face just cracked me up.
LOL!!
Could have happened to anyone, tfs
That was too funny! I hear a lot of people say the sandwich cut right through their embossing mat, too.
