Arguably the most underrated band in the 1990s and easily the most underrated female vocalist in metal and probably the best female vocalist when it comes to clean vocals.
I don't think you know what underrated means. There was literally no metal head back in the 90s who didn't accept her and became obsessed with her at the same time. And then suddenly all the girls hanging out with metalheads were trying to be the Anneke of the group. That's not "underrated".

I love the Album/CD 'Always' by The GATHERING a lot. It is still one of my favorite gothic death metal Albums/CDs even to this day. That being said, what Anneke van Giersbergen did in taking The GATHERING to a new place is amazing! 'Mandylion' 'Night time Birds' were very cool Album/CDs, but it was 'HOW TO MEASURE A PLANET' that made her a LEGEND. Of course I still love 'Leaves'. It is still one of my favorite Anneke songs ever even now.

Yes! I remember having a kick ass Century Media Catalog that was like a book of treasures to me. I wore the damn thing out! I used to order CDs from century by the box. 10-20 at a time. I discovered So Many great bands. Pain of Salvation, OHBTCL, was one of them. I miss that catalog and the good ol days!🤘
