The wild rift iteration for Annie is very interesting. Her Q is a skill shot with a small AOE on impact that resets some cooldown and mana if it kills a target (minion or champion). Additionally her ultimate has a recast to make tibbers to leap to a single enemy champion and knock them up for a medium duration. It seems a lot more unique since she has more ability to spam Q near waves and her second ult lets her do two rotations in a long fight.

She basically has no range compared to other mages, but even including this she's very good burst mage, unfortunately without passive is kinda unfun to play.
She could easily be buffed. Most old champions can easily be buffed to become relevant while still balanced just by changing the stats because their kits are simple. Just buff up her damage and she's relevant again without being broken.

annie suffers from a sort of shen syndrome where a lot of her power budget is allocated to tibbers. without tibbers, either by it getting killed by enemies or lifetime expiring, your damage falls off a cliff
Shen is arguably powerful even without his ult.. in fact his ult is the reason why he is such a strong duelist - his Ult doesn't deal damage thus his other abilities need to compensate for it.
Vex does almost Annie's job more intuitively. Lux/Seraphine are safer too and can be a nice supports as well as a damages dealer which is good on bad games. Except "tibburst" annie is outmatch on everything and just a stun bot if behind
Annie is useful for new players i think, try learning Asol when you first start the game. I like that her stun is not on one single ability but can be whatever, that teaches new players that things are not always as simple as 'q deals damage', while also being easy to grasp.
old Asol sure i see the point but new Asol is the easiest mid champ to play Q is dps where you can E for wave clear and W to roam R is a simple AoE ult all this while being the most monsteras champ later game (still mad they removed Asol for the simplest and least interactive champ in the game when old Asol was super interactive and hard to play with massive effect...)
@@darkumineru1681 He's not the hardest champ to play but he has mechanics you have to read and understand beyond 'press key to deal damage'. A new player has to understand the game first, not the champion, Asol is not a noob friendly champion, you have to be at least familiar with the game.

Syndra is way better bc she does similar thing to Annie and her combo is relatively simple. Switching Annie Q into a skill shot can help her a long way. Or every charge can stun but more charges = longer stun
shes trapped in a dilemma where shes a burstmage and wants to just get fights over with but tibbers is meant for like a battlemage with his tankiness and DoT
Riot just generally doesn't want any of the burst mages to get full one shot potential. Assassins have an easier time getting to the 100% burst while burst mages tend to be more around 50%, requiring them to find safe trades till they can get to their kill threshold. Tradeoff usually being the assassins don't have as much utility and mages can do their stuff at range, so it's at least somewhat fair in theory. Still love Annie both for her simplicity and Tibbs being just a fun tool to play with as a pet.
What I think they need to do with Annie is throw her away from being a burst mage. They need to focus more on using Tibber. They could make a huge change, and this may sound crazy, but instead of making tibbers an ultimate they should make tibbers her passive. And basically make it like every four spells tibbers Paw comes out does extra damage and then make the ultimate with Tibber actually coming out just like it’s current way but does like splash AOE when it comes out on the fourth spell that way, you can also still give her a stun that combos in with like the W or the Q when you do the fourth spell basically what I’m saying is every spell gets like an empowered version on the fourth spell
The points in Vars video are spot on. It also doesn't help that more and more champions are constantly getting really good movement abilities in their kits; look at Ambessa for example. I think if they changed her E and may it similar to one of the new champ's movement abilities for her ASU that her pick rate would definitely increase.
I had an ARAM games where the enemies team were full of bruiser and tank, i.e. targets that Annie can't burst. So I built Malignance, Liandry, Rylai, and watched my Tibber stares them to death. It was hilarious. No body expected Tibber to death so much AoE damage after the initial burst.
She was such a menace in like season 4 as a support. Higher base dmg, longer stun earlier on. You had to have full mr rune set just to have a chance to survive. Nothing op, all thing considered, but definitely ban worthy.
I was wondering when this video would pop up. You’d think for a champion that everyone recommends you try if you’re new to the game would even have a presence in low elo, but she’s just as nonexistent there as anywhere else.
Tibbers should have more usefulness outside of just dropping him for his explosion and damage. Make him have a passive like Daisy where if he attacks enough then he creates a damaging AoE around him and that can be activated sooner when Annie casts her own skills, upping the burst playstyle while giving Tibbers a way to be more of a threat.
Annie should be reworked from a AOE burst mage to a complete “Tibbers, this guy in particulair” mage. Turn up Tibbers to 100 and make it so her kit focuses on buffing Tibbers in certain ways.
Annie is THE go-to pick if you are auto-filled. No matter how far behind you get, one well placed stun-bear might win the game for your team. Just sitting on stun with your Q up (or better yet R) changes whether the opposing team can take objective fights. Add Hextech Rocketbelt to her, and she's actually pretty good at outplays. And maybe quietly most interesting, her 25 auto-attack range makes her great as an on-hit support. (Nashor's Tooth + Lichbane + Rocketbelt is what I'd recommend for that currently.) You harass the enemy ADC with auto-attacks and your shield, camping your stun. There was a time in the game, several patches ago, when some players would make fun of Annie mains for playing something so easy. That's when her popularity fell off. She's not recovered from it, but almost all of her popularity drop was due to bullying rather than anything wrong with the champion itself. Just toxicity.
Wild rift actually lets you recast summon tibbers and tibbers will leap on the enemy to deal another burst of damage while knocking enemies up but annie cant recast for like a couple of second so she doesnt use that immediately after the immediate cast to guarantee a one shot i think thats a way better way to design her ult and tibbers doesnt have the enrage mechanic to balance it out
i feel like an argument could be made to lower her auto attack range and increase q and w range. or just make changes to shift her to support where her kit isn’t as outmatched
i think most people dont play annie is cause she is titled as a "champ to learn the game" and peoples ego tells them "nah im above that" even though she hard counters a lot the simple champs by having a pac stun

Because Lux has a combined pickrate of about 10-11% which isn't bad but it's also not a ton. (Combined pickrate being both support and midlane together)
So i have a fun little trick for you league zoomers out there that's probably still a lot of fun. AD Annie. Decent base damage, guaranteed AoE stun and 625 attack range AND a pet.
I feel like Smite nailed what they were trying to do with Annie when they made the God Hera. Hera has Tibbers ult but better, a shield, a CC ability, and a damage ability....but her kit flows way better and the ranges of her abilities feel way better than Annie.
Long story short, she’s old (NO NOT THAT KIND OF OLD YOU CREEPS). I actually would like to see old mord e replace Molten shield I think the delayed burst then heal would actually work really well on here especially with tibbers.
The fact of the matter is that there are old, relatively simple mages that simply do her job better. Malzahar and Brand instantly come to mind here. If they barely ever get played...wtf chance does Annie have?
annie is always gonna be a comfy pick. just slap predator on her and she can catch up to anyone who isnt rammus or singed and when whoever gets caught into a rylais tibbers they are done for. that combined with a point and click stun / an easy to hit aoe stun makes her so easy to play
So tired of the argument of skill expression, that's how we get reworks like akali and y'all were losing your damn MINDS about her for like 3 seasons. An Annie vgu would be a nightmare, she's a great introduction to burst mages just like lux for new players. Simplicity has a place in league, no Annie player is complaining about how simple she is and how they wish they can do more.
Even coaches like Curtis agrees she’s no longer even suitable for the “beginner mage” role due to the state of how mid lane is played right now. If you want to play a “simple mage” you could just play Lux, Veigar, Vex and the likes and get way more mileage out of those champs than you can with Annie. She’s dated.
Giving her more damage would be fine. But if they dont want to do that give her more effects to her abilities. Make her E do both its old and current effects. Maybe make it so depending what spell you stun with it does a different effect. Maybe stunning with her Q causes a explosion of damage in a large range, W could set targets on fire for like 3 seconds, her Ult could make it a tank melter where for every second tibbers is burning or hitting them applys a stacking debuff that lasts until tibbers would expire normally where only annie would get a damage increase against them so say at like 10 stacks the tank takes 50% more damage from everything shes does. That way she still is more of a threat but can still have the issue of if shes losing shes still got those weaknesses but being she can fight her way out more often gives her a chance to do something than just "welp i'm dead" Idk her core identity and all that doesn't need to change really.

At this point I personally feel like this idea of Annie "having to be simple because she is a beginner champion" no longer holds up. The skill level of players on average has increased dramatically over the past years, yes even in lower elos like bronze. Just think about how things like Lee insecs are things you can even see in Silver nowadays. Because of this, Annie's simple "unmissable" spells are more of a detriment to her than they are a strength. Since the spells are unmissable, they aren't allowed to be appropriately powerful, thus taking away agency from the player. Annie's identity is the instant AoE stun, yes. And as long as her ultimate is kept the way it is, that isn't gonna change, even if you were to rework her basic abilities. I also happen to think that her E is an interesting spell that is worth keeping. It's a shield with a speed boost that reflects damage, which she can cast on herself or allies. That's cool. But her W and Q are just.. so, so bad. In wild rift they made her Q a skillshot with a tiny amount of AoE, which allows for a higher range and higher damage. So if they are ever gonna modernize her, I really hope that they're gonna bring that version of her Q to the rift. The big question is her W, tho. It defintely needs more flavor than just being a cone of instant damage, but it also needs to fit into her pattern. Bonus points if any of her spells end up interacting with Tibbers when he is summoned (like her E does). Like her new W, whatever it may be, also creating a circle of fire around Tibbers or something.
Point and Click CC on Q is good. I would also like to point out that Garen is a simple champion that is still powerful, even with increased skill floor.
@@thememedad202 Point and click CC is good if that is all you have. But Annie also has instant CC. The point of point and click CC is that it's not dodgable (unless they go untargetable), but you know what else can not be dodged? Instant cast. When an enemy is in range for Q, they are in range for Tibbers or even W. There isn't a single situation in which using Annie's passive on Q is more useful than it is on R or even W. That is why Vex is so much more of a viable champion than her, even tho she is getting picked in the same situations you would expect to see Annie thrive (against hyper mobile champions that you want to securely CC). Just that Vex's spells aren't artifically made weaker, just because they can't miss. Q being point and click is a detriment to the champion, not a strength that gives her a nieche. Cause as I said, the same purpose that the point and click spell has is also fulfilled by her instant cast spells. And that leaves her with a spell that is simply bad.
the only time ill play annie is game modes like aram, spellbook, urf etc. this champ is long overdue for a rework. a simple champ that's hard too play in this meta alone lol
The WNOP videos are my favorite to watch in this channel. I feel i learn the most out of these videos always so thank you for that. The 40 OG champions feel too much outdated nowadays with all the new releases in the game. Annie, Vlad etc.. they clearly need VGU's at the very least. Have you ever made a video (top 10 or 15 best champions late game) ? And might as well 10 or 15 best early champs. Could be a fun one to do. 😊
At the end of the day some champs will have low pick rates ,i dont understand the idea that a champ needs to be popular to be "good" Ivern was broken for so long but people barely played him ,same with other champs ,
Back when I played League, I was so disappointed with Annie. I picked her up because her lore was cool, but oh my god, it was one of the worst experiences ever.
I was an Annie otp when I started in January this year, but I was always playing with a duo in bot lane so he could always follow up my stuns etc. But honestly I usually had the damage to one shot squishy targets, on support so I wouldn't say Annie lacks damage but I maximized Tibbers damage output in most fights and I wasn't the main carry of the team anyway so idk. I think Annie support doesn't suffer as much from the ploblems listed in this video as Annie mid but I don't think it's that bad even then. When it comes to a vgu, her default model and her oldest skins could use an update for sure but I think the only thing in her kit that need a touch-up is her Q, as making it not point and click would probably eliviate most of her issues whan it comes to damage. Also it would be great if ahe wasn't so reliant on flash for engaging. Idk how to change that tho besides giving her a dash on molten shield but that wouldn't fit-in with the playstyle. She's definitely in a weird state where it's hard to change her without losing her identity as a champion, you can't just make her Q a straight line skillshot cause then she'd be vex ver.0.1 and you can't transfer damage from her combo to Tibbers without erasing her identity as a burst mage. So I don't know what can be done honestly but meh, I trust they'll figure it out... eventually... in 10 to 200 years. Tldr : I used to be an otp Annie support (I played with a duo) and I don't know how they could change her kit to modernize it without erasing her identity as a burst mage (with almost guaranteed pressure).
the thing that kills annie is mobility creep. yes you have a big stun, but everyone having multiple dashes doesnt make it easy to hit a good ult. that plus the lack of range to keep her out of support. basicly left her in a state where she is never a bad option, but she wont be the best option either
Couldnt they make it so her W or Tibbers worked like Morde's Q ? If it hits only a single target it crits, meaning, standing together or even in a wave would decrease damage taken, but if she went for a pickoff in lone target in the jungle , she would be able to do more damage
This is kind of a bad idea because against champions with aoe abilities you want to be outside of the wave for the simple reason that being inside the wave will make them damage both your wave AND you, which is a big disadvantage.
What make's morde Q good is the fact that you still have time to dodge it ,if they make her W or R like that you basically flash or die 100% ,her W is literally instant ,it would make it op .
I think she needs either a VGU or more likely a revert/mini re-work. She used to be extremely good at one shot's and waveclear, key being 2nd one. Mana used to be a real issue, and annie refunding mana on Q takedown was a big deal back in the day. She could just clear minnons in lane all day, but nowadays every champ can do this, no one has mana issues. She also does not one shot has hard as other mages/assasins because she has a point click hard stun. In wild rift, annie Q is a skill shot with a small aoe and a bit more range. This would fix alot of her issues, allowing her better wave clear, more skill expression and more counterplay. Keep her ult/w low range, bur make her Q into a slighter longer range skill shot. Also idea, make her E a spell shield instead of a shield like sivir. Her having a crappy shield makes no gameplay or lorewise sense. At least make the ability help in what she wants to do, get into range too nuke people. A spell shield can block a key slow/stun and help tibbers stay on his target as well.
If her Q was the same as in wild rift.. she would be so much more used. Her q being a target makes it a short range/mid dmg projectile... it being a skillshot would allow for her to actually poke without being outpoked. Assassins out damage her when trading as they go all in... and mages like lux/viktor/xearth/ziggs etc outrange her so she needs to flash R..
I dont think she needs a full VGU. But Riot needs to do something with her Q. Maybe make it a skill shot so you can increase the range. I also dont know how I feel about the shield. It doesnt really help her Burst the enemy so maybe they could do something here. But I guess Riot needs to remove her ensured Q Stun so they can allow her to be strong. But they cant change Tibbers as he is to iconic
honestly the should make her e into a stun and tibbers part of the passive or at least make it on par with daisy like every 3 autos it ignites the enemy since shyvana is the next vgu im just going to have to wait.
also annie in the past had predator and a ap version of yomous ghost blade which built up alot of MS and she was played as such out run the opponent and burst and back off, now she is a flash ulter like vald but vlad can sustain himself in the fight.

I really like mage classes in this game just for their ability to control the field. It’s my most played type.

Okay WHY do I remember you making a why no one plays Annie video before?
Annies biggest strength was the enemy needing to know when to engage or disengage. Annies biggest strength got removed with clarity update.
Tibbers should have more usefulness outside of just dropping him for his explosion and damage. Make him have a passive like Daisy where if he attacks enough then he creates a damaging AoE around him and that can be activated sooner when Annie casts her own skills, upping the burst playstyle while giving Tibbers a way to be more of a threat.
They could make Tibbers the focus of her Kit, but then we just have a AP Yorick.
Annie should be reworked from a AOE burst mage to a complete “Tibbers, this guy in particulair” mage. Turn up Tibbers to 100 and make it so her kit focuses on buffing Tibbers in certain ways.

Annie is THE go-to pick if you are auto-filled. No matter how far behind you get, one well placed stun-bear might win the game for your team. Just sitting on stun with your Q up (or better yet R) changes whether the opposing team can take objective fights. Add Hextech Rocketbelt to her, and she's actually pretty good at outplays. And maybe quietly most interesting, her 25 auto-attack range makes her great as an on-hit support. (Nashor's Tooth + Lichbane + Rocketbelt is what I'd recommend for that currently.) You harass the enemy ADC with auto-attacks and your shield, camping your stun.
There was a time in the game, several patches ago, when some players would make fun of Annie mains for playing something so easy. That's when her popularity fell off. She's not recovered from it, but almost all of her popularity drop was due to bullying rather than anything wrong with the champion itself. Just toxicity.

Wild rift actually lets you recast summon tibbers and tibbers will leap on the enemy to deal another burst of damage while knocking enemies up but annie cant recast for like a couple of second so she doesnt use that immediately after the immediate cast to guarantee a one shot i think thats a way better way to design her ult and tibbers doesnt have the enrage mechanic to balance it out

i feel like an argument could be made to lower her auto attack range and increase q and w range. or just make changes to shift her to support where her kit isn’t as outmatched

i think most people dont play annie is cause she is titled as a "champ to learn the game" and peoples ego tells them "nah im above that" even though she hard counters a lot the simple champs by having a pac stun

Because Lux has a combined pickrate of about 10-11% which isn't bad but it's also not a ton. (Combined pickrate being both support and midlane together)
Move her passive to Q and make it stun with only Q and Ult, give her a new and intuitive passive she can play around

I feel like Smite nailed what they were trying to do with Annie when they made the God Hera.
Hera has Tibbers ult but better, a shield, a CC ability, and a damage ability....but her kit flows way better and the ranges of her abilities feel way better than Annie.
Long story short, she’s old (NO NOT THAT KIND OF OLD YOU CREEPS). I actually would like to see old mord e replace Molten shield I think the delayed burst then heal would actually work really well on here especially with tibbers.
To me, Vex nearly is the Annie VGU. Vex does everything Annie wants to do but more and better.
The fact of the matter is that there are old, relatively simple mages that simply do her job better. Malzahar and Brand instantly come to mind here. If they barely ever get played...wtf chance does Annie have?
annie is always gonna be a comfy pick. just slap predator on her and she can catch up to anyone who isnt rammus or singed and when whoever gets caught into a rylais tibbers they are done for. that combined with a point and click stun / an easy to hit aoe stun makes her so easy to play

Anne got a rework for wildrift, and she's a little more skill expressive now. She has a skill shot now on her and it has a very small aoe when it hits
So tired of the argument of skill expression, that's how we get reworks like akali and y'all were losing your damn MINDS about her for like 3 seasons. An Annie vgu would be a nightmare, she's a great introduction to burst mages just like lux for new players. Simplicity has a place in league, no Annie player is complaining about how simple she is and how they wish they can do more.
Even coaches like Curtis agrees she’s no longer even suitable for the “beginner mage” role due to the state of how mid lane is played right now. If you want to play a “simple mage” you could just play Lux, Veigar, Vex and the likes and get way more mileage out of those champs than you can with Annie. She’s dated.
Giving her more damage would be fine. But if they dont want to do that give her more effects to her abilities. Make her E do both its old and current effects. Maybe make it so depending what spell you stun with it does a different effect. Maybe stunning with her Q causes a explosion of damage in a large range, W could set targets on fire for like 3 seconds, her Ult could make it a tank melter where for every second tibbers is burning or hitting them applys a stacking debuff that lasts until tibbers would expire normally where only annie would get a damage increase against them so say at like 10 stacks the tank takes 50% more damage from everything shes does. That way she still is more of a threat but can still have the issue of if shes losing shes still got those weaknesses but being she can fight her way out more often gives her a chance to do something than just "welp i'm dead" Idk her core identity and all that doesn't need to change really.

At this point I personally feel like this idea of Annie "having to be simple because she is a beginner champion" no longer holds up. The skill level of players on average has increased dramatically over the past years, yes even in lower elos like bronze. Just think about how things like Lee insecs are things you can even see in Silver nowadays. Because of this, Annie's simple "unmissable" spells are more of a detriment to her than they are a strength. Since the spells are unmissable, they aren't allowed to be appropriately powerful, thus taking away agency from the player.
Annie's identity is the instant AoE stun, yes. And as long as her ultimate is kept the way it is, that isn't gonna change, even if you were to rework her basic abilities. I also happen to think that her E is an interesting spell that is worth keeping. It's a shield with a speed boost that reflects damage, which she can cast on herself or allies. That's cool.
But her W and Q are just.. so, so bad. In wild rift they made her Q a skillshot with a tiny amount of AoE, which allows for a higher range and higher damage. So if they are ever gonna modernize her, I really hope that they're gonna bring that version of her Q to the rift. The big question is her W, tho. It defintely needs more flavor than just being a cone of instant damage, but it also needs to fit into her pattern.
Bonus points if any of her spells end up interacting with Tibbers when he is summoned (like her E does). Like her new W, whatever it may be, also creating a circle of fire around Tibbers or something.
Point and Click CC on Q is good. I would also like to point out that Garen is a simple champion that is still powerful, even with increased skill floor.
@@thememedad202 Point and click CC is good if that is all you have. But Annie also has instant CC. The point of point and click CC is that it's not dodgable (unless they go untargetable), but you know what else can not be dodged? Instant cast. When an enemy is in range for Q, they are in range for Tibbers or even W. There isn't a single situation in which using Annie's passive on Q is more useful than it is on R or even W. That is why Vex is so much more of a viable champion than her, even tho she is getting picked in the same situations you would expect to see Annie thrive (against hyper mobile champions that you want to securely CC). Just that Vex's spells aren't artifically made weaker, just because they can't miss.
Q being point and click is a detriment to the champion, not a strength that gives her a nieche. Cause as I said, the same purpose that the point and click spell has is also fulfilled by her instant cast spells. And that leaves her with a spell that is simply bad.
the only time ill play annie is game modes like aram, spellbook, urf etc. this champ is long overdue for a rework. a simple champ that's hard too play in this meta alone lol

The 40 OG champions feel too much outdated nowadays with all the new releases in the game. Annie, Vlad etc.. they clearly need VGU's at the very least. Have you ever made a video (top 10 or 15 best champions late game) ? And might as well 10 or 15 best early champs. Could be a fun one to do. 😊

Back when I played League, I was so disappointed with Annie. I picked her up because her lore was cool, but oh my god, it was one of the worst experiences ever.

I was an Annie otp when I started in January this year, but I was always playing with a duo in bot lane so he could always follow up my stuns etc.
But honestly I usually had the damage to one shot squishy targets, on support so I wouldn't say Annie lacks damage but I maximized Tibbers damage output in most fights and I wasn't the main carry of the team anyway so idk.
I think Annie support doesn't suffer as much from the ploblems listed in this video as Annie mid but I don't think it's that bad even then.
When it comes to a vgu, her default model and her oldest skins could use an update for sure but I think the only thing in her kit that need a touch-up is her Q, as making it not point and click would probably eliviate most of her issues whan it comes to damage. Also it would be great if ahe wasn't so reliant on flash for engaging. Idk how to change that tho besides giving her a dash on molten shield but that wouldn't fit-in with the playstyle. She's definitely in a weird state where it's hard to change her without losing her identity as a champion, you can't just make her Q a straight line skillshot cause then she'd be vex ver.0.1 and you can't transfer damage from her combo to Tibbers without erasing her identity as a burst mage. So I don't know what can be done honestly but meh, I trust they'll figure it out... eventually... in 10 to 200 years.
Tldr : I used to be an otp Annie support (I played with a duo) and I don't know how they could change her kit to modernize it without erasing her identity as a burst mage (with almost guaranteed pressure).
the thing that kills annie is mobility creep. yes you have a big stun, but everyone having multiple dashes doesnt make it easy to hit a good ult. that plus the lack of range to keep her out of support. basicly left her in a state where she is never a bad option, but she wont be the best option either
Couldnt they make it so her W or Tibbers worked like Morde's Q ? If it hits only a single target it crits, meaning, standing together or even in a wave would decrease damage taken, but if she went for a pickoff in lone target in the jungle , she would be able to do more damage
This is kind of a bad idea because against champions with aoe abilities you want to be outside of the wave for the simple reason that being inside the wave will make them damage both your wave AND you, which is a big disadvantage.
What make's morde Q good is the fact that you still have time to dodge it ,if they make her W or R like that you basically flash or die 100% ,her W is literally instant ,it would make it op .

I think she needs either a VGU or more likely a revert/mini re-work. She used to be extremely good at one shot's and waveclear, key being 2nd one. Mana used to be a real issue, and annie refunding mana on Q takedown was a big deal back in the day. She could just clear minnons in lane all day, but nowadays every champ can do this, no one has mana issues. She also does not one shot has hard as other mages/assasins because she has a point click hard stun. In wild rift, annie Q is a skill shot with a small aoe and a bit more range. This would fix alot of her issues, allowing her better wave clear, more skill expression and more counterplay. Keep her ult/w low range, bur make her Q into a slighter longer range skill shot. Also idea, make her E a spell shield instead of a shield like sivir. Her having a crappy shield makes no gameplay or lorewise sense. At least make the ability help in what she wants to do, get into range too nuke people. A spell shield can block a key slow/stun and help tibbers stay on his target as well.

If her Q was the same as in wild rift.. she would be so much more used. Her q being a target makes it a short range/mid dmg projectile... it being a skillshot would allow for her to actually poke without being outpoked. Assassins out damage her when trading as they go all in... and mages like lux/viktor/xearth/ziggs etc outrange her so she needs to flash R..
I dont think she needs a full VGU. But Riot needs to do something with her Q. Maybe make it a skill shot so you can increase the range. I also dont know how I feel about the shield. It doesnt really help her Burst the enemy so maybe they could do something here. But I guess Riot needs to remove her ensured Q Stun so they can allow her to be strong. But they cant change Tibbers as he is to iconic

also annie in the past had predator and a ap version of yomous ghost blade which built up alot of MS and she was played as such out run the opponent and burst and back off, now she is a flash ulter like vald but vlad can sustain himself in the fight.
