Shot my first grouse of the year thought I'd just UA-cam how others cooked it. Nice video.

I like that term Ice-pick i think it describes the effect well. I have shot high powered .25cal rifles in the past and they are great rabbit stoppers hitting their head so hard that the eyes would literally pop out with the pressure. Though i switched to the .22 as they shot more accurately but that was some years ago when there wasn't as many good quality .25 pellets about compared to now.

Yes the 12ft/lb (About 560fps in .22 + 780fps in .177) UK limit is just above your Canadian 500fps limit but they can also choose to go for higher powered air rifles if they put them on a licence.
But here in N'Ireland where i live anything above 1 joule needs to be on a licence that includes BB guns.
Though it is funny how different parts of the world come up with their specific restrictions for different fire arms.

That looks very nice, i must look for a UK version of Fish Crisp and try this on wood pigeon. Oh my wife told me to use a little Olive Oil with the butter to stop it from burning.

add a little vegetable oil to your butter and you can cook at a higher temp and have all the butter flavour!
