I shot a grouse yesterday, and followed this recipe exactly for lunch today. Did not disappoint! I've shot a lot of upland bird over the years, and this was far and away the tastiest I've ever eaten.
Awesome fella 👍 I cooked my grouse somewhat the same way years ago I used to double foilwrap & place on my truck engine. Take it with a small tupaware of behive syrup for a dipping sauce for my sons plumbing on site in minus 35 degrees. They were like wolves on a downed deer 74+🍁hunter Yorkshire expat
After a great day ruff grouse hunting, I use to strip it like this. Make tenders n add a dipping sauce ie:: behive syrup . Take it to my son's on construction site kept hot , wrapped on my engine block. A welcome snack @ minus 30s. 75+🍁hunter Yorkshire expat
Looks like a great way to get my grandkids to eat grouse. Have 5 in the freezer I need to try this on. Did you add any spices to the panko? Maybe I missed it in there. Thanks Dan
Under cooked??? Over cooking easily ruins all game meat. Game birds / ungulates dont suffer the same issues with trichinosis as bear/ pigs etc…. A reminder to all DONT OVER COOK THE MEAT!!
