  • We have always enjoyed riding on the "Hamsphire Unit" class 205 Thumper on the Mid Hants Railway, so when the opportunity came to get a model of our own we jumped a the chance!
In this video we show you how we added a sound decoder and speaker to the model.
We used an ESU V5 LokSound decoder loaded with Legoman Biffo sounds as supplied by DC kits.

Great on installing the decoder Simon. The train sounds more realistic with sound fitted to it.
I haven't tried installing a sound decoder before but hopefully in future I'll give it a go once I learn how to insert a dcc decoder.
On Kings birthday weekend, I participated in my first model railway exhibition at Brandon Park community center. It was great fun and I bought a hornby oo scale clockwork locomotive of 1960s vintage.
    Keep your steam up Simon.
    Take care.

Sound decoders definitely get easier the more you do. Hope you enjoyed the exhibition.
