Having the factories only emit smoke while operating would be cool and helpful.
Too bad that Advanced Chimneys mod isn't available for Fabric.
@@Isaacrl67 You can have a piston block the smoke while the machines are turned off
@@PolyChromium Or some create moving parts so that it basically does it automatically whenever the factory is powered and needs no redstone at all!
It would be very cool, I agree, but I don't understand how it'd be helpful...
@@PolyChromium yeah, but the chimneys mod has way cooler smoke particles and will only smoke when smoke producing blocks are active. I love the aesthetic it gives my 1700's style factory build, but I have it on a forge instance.
You should put your bed next to the "Days since last incident" machine so that you respawn on the pressure plate
But if you die a other way, it will reset the days as well. So that isn’t to helpful
also just slapping down a bed to sleep then breaking it isn't an uncommon practice
but what if you just want to make it day again sleep though the night you wake up on the pressure plate

I love how Tango is known as the technical expert but then also pumps out sweet looking buildings. I love the shafts/metal brackets as decorative touches. In my build I have them as wall sconces with lanterns hanging from them.
Pretty sure the issue with your fan lifters is that the belts they are outputting to are getting backed up. This makes the items in the fan lifter move past the extraction point which makes it get stuck.
The same thing can happen with belts, as well. Like that belt with the trapdoor at the end.
If that was loading into a sideways funnel instead of a chute the same problem would happen if a block made it to the trap door. Even though the item looks like it's in front of the funnel, it's actually just a bit past it.
Would reversing the belt/fan every so often fix this? Just like, an hourly hiccup?
I was also wondering if that wasn’t the same “hitch” spot/lag spot that showed up in the first few episodes....🤔

Yes it can. You could block them when it's off or extinguishing them or probably other ways

You can also become unaffected by them if you wear diving boots

@@Projekt_Nightmare no it still works. If I don't need it running I'll just rotate a gearbox or shaft to stop it tho, just easier. Also, I put clutches on everything so that works too.

This series has made me play Minecraft (with the create mod of course) for the first time in about a year. Thanks for bringing back that love to one of my favorite games!
Tango, you can set the power running to the pumps and mechanical piston in the cobble generator at 1 rpm and it will still produce cobble at the same rate. The benefit to doing this would be that the piston will barely move a couple of pixels before snapping beck into place so the moving wall will be much less obvious.
I saw the leaf witch as well. Incredible work on the machines as usual!
Hey Tango, I'm not sure if you noticed, but some of the pumps on the Cobble farm are not placing lava above them, due to the direction of the gears being reversed after each pump. The farm could output double the amount of cobble if you fix the backwards pumps
They are all pointing up, every other pump has to be flipped because the gear spins the opposite direction, so the up arrow is on top of the pump on the ones you thought were wrong.

It’s already working at full speed because of what Curtis Hopkinson said. Gears next to each other rotate in the opposite direction which is why you need to flip the mechanical pumps

i love the create smp for many reasons; number one being how overjoyed tango is at everything. he has so many scadoodlers to play with!
Now's about the time I'd look into adding crushers for the stone types added by create, as well as tuff. Most if not all of them can be crushed for a chance at getting crushed ore and nuggets. Azurite is the one that gives zinc I belive, it's a fairly common blue stone with a unique texture.
Also my guess for your quartz input issue is you may have the funnel at the top set to extract a specific amount. Items that are on a belt or in a chute don't like to merge into stacks, so you need the same "number filter" on the bottom.
pretty sure he knows about at least some of them. i think he has them set up so that his other machines will deal with like Veridium, or Crimsite.
Gotta say your detailing is impeccable. Love it. One easy solution to the air duct problem would be to have a grabby arm take the item out of the blocked tube every 5 minutes or so to reset the blockage caused by the backed up conveyor belt.
If you splice in moar power, just make sure it the same speed and direction, it all adds up.

for the upward fan chute issue on the diorite. I think what is happening is your upper belt is getting backed up at some points and the fan is pushing items all the way to the top past the brass funnel exit and is causing it to get stuck in the chute. A quick and compact fix would be to put a gearshift on the fans power input to temporarily make the fans switch directions to pull the items down instead of push up(allowing the brass funnel to once again pull items out); put a redstone link on the gearshift to control the direction of the fans and maybe a content observer strategically placed somewhere to read when it needs to switch the fan direction

Hey, Tango, wouldn't it look more amazing if you put the power transmission above ground on big towers like IRL big power lines rather than underground powerlines. Exposed "power lines" would tie all the buildings in the area together, IMO.

The chain drives and gearboxes are likely what is causing the FPS to be hammered down. I had the same problem in my single player, swapped chain drives for belts and reduced gearboxes, and it bumped up my FPS by nearly 20. Amazing series Tango! Love the factory!

Fun fact: If you want to shutdown the trainyard while working on the tracks, place and activate a lever on the inbound signals to force them to red.
be careful with adding too many chests to your drilling machine, if a single entity has too big of an NBT tag, it'll crash the server when you pick it up, and you'll have to remove it using an nbt editor on your player file, i had to do it and it's not fun
That happened to me.. luckily I made a backup right before as it did crash my game when I went to pick it up after a big dig... I didn't know about the nft editor but had my backup thankfully.
@@ryanreklaw i tried to edit the inventory file to remove some of the JSON for the items inside the contraption’s storage, but that just ended up removing the item, it was on the above and beyond modpack, so drills were also way more expensive lmao

Hey Tango, loving these videos! They've been giving me a lot of inspiration and ideas to use on my create server and I wanted to offer an idea in return. I built a megadrillificator similar to yours and found out that breaking the redstone block is usually bottlenecking the drill's forward speed. I switched to using redstone torches and a plow, but had set up deployers placing a netherrack "shell" eight blocks in front of the minecart that gets picked back up eight blocks behind the minecart by drills. It definitely adds some complexity to the drill, but allows it to operate much faster and you can sit inside afk without drowning or getting burned and it will run indefinitely.
As a Factorio player, you standing on the tracks constantly is stressing me out 🤣

I was just playing around in Create and created the same unloading setup as Tango has here. Just a word of caution, if you run with a belt speed less than 64 the top facing funnel will unload faster than the conveyor and items will not connect to the belt and get stuck. At 64 and faster speeds it works fine.
Ochrum can be either used as decorative stuff, or turned into gold.

It may help game performance if the trains did wait to fill all the way up so that they arnt running as often.
