She’s was brilliant I grew up watching these amazing swimmers and Esther was truly one of a kind!

Thanks to both Annette Kellerman & Esther Williams, synchronized swimming is still with us today worldwide, even on Summer Olympic Games. Swimming is a wonderful way to cool off every summer & this classic performance scene is magnificent 100%!

While "Million Dollar Mermaid" had the most spectacular swimming sequences ever filmed in Hollywood or elsewhere, Esther Williams best film in my estimation was "Easy to Love". Not only were her swimming sequences excellent, the film also had the excellent crooning of Tony Martin with 3 hit-paraders, plus there was the very likable Van Johnson as Esther's romance. Eleanor Powell did her famous tap dance; Lena Horne sang a lovely tune and there was another actress Connie Haines [in the film] that belted out two foot-tapping numbers: Choo, Choo to Idaho and Of all things. As with all Esther movies, I have seen Easy to Love more than a dozen times and still counting.
I love that movie.😃 My favorite Esther Williams movies is On An Island With You. It was the first film of hers that I ever saw. Loved her long hair. Loved the swimming and dancing sequences. And the story was cute.😊

Wasnt Esther going down the slide at the 1:20 mark youcan see her in the water she comes up farther away from where the stand in landed, she also stated in her autobiography that wasnt her diving off the trapeeze,

Well here's one for ya she asked my dad to go swimming with her he said he couldn't because he didn't have a swimsuit and she offered to buy him one he still said no because he wouldn't take charity, he's the reason why the blimp hanger at moffet field still stands today and that was when he was 17 in the US Army, yes he lied about his age to get in, beach at Normandy and battle of the bulge I have a half sister in France and the list goes on
