I am ashamed to admit that I have never seen Half Nelson. Much obliged for the reminder. I first saw him in Remember the Titans but I didn't really get his appeal until Drive many years later.
@@geekinwithJamesHancock The Half Nelson is a pretty solid low budget indie flick that Ryan Gosling and Anthony Mackie did for basically nothing. I did like the twist on derailing the white savior trope. Another pretty solid cousin to the Half Nelson, “It’s kind of a funny Story” filmed at Coney Island Psychiatric Unit. Again little subtle Mew York vibes.
The change of scenery took me by surprise, I looked up, and you were in Vegas. I was fall guy fan. Simply because it had the six million dollar man in it.
I was at the Sydney Premiere last evening with the stunt team in attendance. One of them was my former colleague on Peter Rabbit. You can feel the camaraderie of the crew as they cheered for one another's screen appearance. It's a reminder of why we love making movies. It's such a fun and passionate love letter to the often-overlooked stunt people and their contribution to filmmaking. Please go out there and support it in theatres.
Very cool! I've had limited exposure to folks working on that side of the biz, but even on a low-budget horror film, the stunt crew are always the coolest folks on the set to hang out with.
Congrats on your 1st CinemaCon 🎉 The Fall Guy sounds like a great popcorn flick. Ryan Gosling was really entertaining in The Nice Guys, so I'm definitely going to see this. Thank you for your review and don't get arrested in Vegas.
I'm definitely aiming to get through at least a few days of CinemaCon before I roll the dice with anything that results in an encounter with the fuzz. Throughly enjoying the experience so far.
Hey James are you going to review Bade Miyan Chote Miyan the festive blockbuster releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr in 2D,3D and IMAX 3D formats worldwide.Congrats on your first Cinecon btw.
Nice! Have a great time James. The theme song was THE BEST part of the The Fall Guy, that and Heather Thomas. The movie sounds fun and I love Atomic Blonde. This film is giving me Cannonball Run vibes.
I grew up on Cannonball Run. That was my first exposure to Hal Needham, Burt Reynolds, Jackie Chan, etc. so I won't put it on that level but this new Fall Guy is definitely a rip-roaring good time at the movies.
I'm sneaking off to a party right after the Warner Bros presentation so I'm not sure if I'll make a video specifically about their presentation, but I'll definitely share a few words at my earliest available opportunity.
My wife surprised me when, after we saw the trailer, she said she wanted to see it. Post Barbie, Ryan Gosling crush confirmed 😂 It's OK with me - I'll happily go for Emily Blunt and the stunts. Glad to hear it's entertaining! Enjoy Vegas! Are we gonna get a "Hookers and Blow" podcast?🤪
Look at you you made it to my Hometown. Yes The Collesuiem is Very Nice!!! I used to watch the TV show every week. Glad you made it safely and enjoy your time at CinemaCon!!✈🎬🙌🏿😊🕺🏽🐲💚
They are on a serious hot streak. They crushed it in 2023 and I'm fired up for their plans for the future. I'm seeing their presentation tomorrow at CinemaCon.
I love the Venetian, it’s an older hotel now but I still love it every time I stay there. Have you checked out the giant eye ball yet? I haven’t had the pleasure yet. I’m gonna watch this movie simply for Emily Blunt ❤
I would love nothing more than to hang out through the weekend, but I have 3 screenings in NYC this upcoming weekend that I don't want to miss. I was here in Vegas for UFC 100 back in 2009 and it was totally insane.
Another Franchise ruined here is the following ones The Omen Fall Guy Alien Predator Terminator Star Wars If there mess with AIrwolf , Knight Rider and Greatest American Hero I riot
Well I've kept up with all those franchises and you can't lump them all into the same basket. In their current state, from weakest to best, I'd rank them: Star Wars, The Terminator, The Omen, Predator, Alien and so Fall Guy is much more satisfying by comparison. But if you're arguing for more original movies, I'm with you 100%.
@@geekinwithJamesHancock Can't beat the original Fall Guy with Lee Majors charm and the rest of the cast fun this just looks like nostalgia sake . Also Ghostbusters redux is looking tired and woke
At age 43, Ryan Gosling is a couple of years older than Emily Blunt. As it happens, Eva Mendes (Gosling's life partner and co-star in The Place Beyond the Pines) turned 50 last month.
@@jessebourbeau1616 How so? Perhaps more odd is that Ryan Gosling previously dated former 'Murder by Numbers' costar Sandra Bullock (who happens to be around 16yrs his senior).
I share your frustration, but if I can enjoy Brian De Palma's movie version of the show 'The Untouchables', then I can definitely let my hair down and enjoy a loving homage to 'The Fall Guy'.
@@hanniffydinn6019 The Fall Guy movie is only very loosely linked to the TV series. Too loosely for many of my generation. I personally don't care much either way. The Gosling/Blunt film version directed by David Leitch was 2hrs of rollicking good fun, and that's enough for me.
This movie SUCKED!!!! Contrived, overlong, and comedy rarely works. When the dog and music score is the best part, then there's a problem. Save your time and money. Kingdom of the Apes should slaughter this crap next week. Hopefully.
Absolutely nothing about the trailer for the fall guy makes me want to ever watch it. I can't stand this smarmy, winking at the audience "humour" that Hollywood is so completely stuck on. Everything is ironic and it's boring and extremely outdated
Since the Half Nelson filmed in Gowanus, I knew “Just Ken” was gonna be a great actor with so much range. His genetics alone ward off evil aliens.

Indeed. Doing my best to stay focused, but I might have to indulge in a little sin and vice before the end of CinemaCon.

Gosling can do anything. Guy’s comedic timing is top notch.
His fans are going to be delighted with this flick. He's hilarious and a total badass.

Emily looks a little old to be Ken’s love interest tbh. Maybe he’s just holding up that well. Gosling don’t crack? How old is the guy anyway
