Man, every time the puppy story comes up, I get a little emotional and feel like I need to hug my dog (and I usually do if I'm around her). She's a dog that came from the States (am from Canada), and there's this little voice in my head that wonders if her life could have been cut short because of someone like Noem. She's a GREAT fucking dog. When we started fostering her, she was bone thin, she was afraid of men, especially me if I was wearing a baseball hat... Tara got it right about J.D. Vance. Every time I see him I can feel my blood boiling. And her calling him smug and cavalier is the perfect explanation for why he makes me feel that way. I think it is such a tragedy that Tim Ryan lost the Senate race in Ohio to J.D. Vance. Tim was an excellent congressman and a great advocate for Ohio. I regret that he did not receive more support from the national Democratic committee and acknowledge that he could have run more effective campaign. His campaign was strong on the policies he supported and how they would help Ohioan. But those traditional types of campaigns are not effective enough to win in a state like Ohio these days. In the end Ohio citizens and the country as a whole are the losers in this equation. And we are stuck with this jerk J.D. Vance, who now openly talks up Russian propaganda, being one of our 100 national senators. I really hope he does not receive the nomination to become Trump’s VP candidate.

Tara got it right about J.D. Vance. Every time I see him I can feel my blood boiling. And her calling him smug and cavalier is the perfect explanation for why he makes me feel that way. I think it is such a tragedy that Tim Ryan lost the Senate race in Ohio to J.D. Vance. Tim was an excellent congressman and a great advocate for Ohio. I regret that he did not receive more support from the national Democratic committee and acknowledge that he could have run more effective campaign. His campaign was strong on the policies he supported and how they would help Ohioan. But those traditional types of campaigns are not effective enough to win in a state like Ohio these days. In the end Ohio citizens and the country as a whole are the losers in this equation. And we are stuck with this jerk J.D. Vance, who now openly talks up Russian propaganda, being one of our 100 national senators. I really hope he does not receive the nomination to become Trump’s VP candidate.
