I have never listened to such an interesting interview. Finally we also talk about very private topics. Ace Frehley will forever be a ROCKSTAR, he has influenced millions of guitarists (including me). Surely among the four members of Kiss, he is the most talented one. Thanks for this beautiful interview.
Great interview, good job! saw him live in 94 on Long Island someplace..agree with Ace here, him and his band did play the Kiss songs more like "vintage Kiss" (then).
its like the late 90s rendered graphics, with a lot of shapes and colors, very kistch. Looks like is made by a 13 year old kid playing with his first computer.
Ace sounded so sad. He calls himself an "accomplished" musician? But his musicians are three "hired guns"! He didn't feel good anymore in KISS. But how do his musicians feel, when they hear, they are only "hired guns"? As next: Paul and Gene, for Ace, are more entertainer than musicians? No, we all saw the Tom Snyder Show: Ace was the Entertainer in KISS, per se! He repeated how much he likes to perform. Is his show not entertaining? Is Ace boring? Ace, you can't perform without a show! What's wrong with Ace?
@@TheTapesArchive Yes. He doesn't own it anymore, yet he complains about it all the time making fans think that all he cares about is the legacy, yet he sold his makeup.

Portions of this interview are in the new Kiss documentary on A&E.

Good interview. Very good interviewer. Thanks for sharing.
Went to that show in Indy ['94]. Kicked ass!
THE INTERVIEWS FROM THIS PODCAST ARE FUCKING BRILLIANT!
Wow man! Thanks! More coming!
Ace sounds like a,nice, reasonable guy here...
Ace is a legend. He'll be the first to tell you.
This interview says his daughter Monique was 13. She is 39 today. This interview is more from around 1990.
@@marcallan9930 Could have been her birthday overlapping! Cool interview...
@@timmyjams Or maybe Ace got the wrong age of his daughter at the time. Prob has happened to a lot of good dads. :)
She was born in 1980
He mentions Stone Temple Pilots…it’s 93
Great interview 👍
Very interesting info
Happy to hear you found it interesting.
Anybody seen the computer art Ace mentions he did?
Probably incomplete junk.
Doesn't exist

I totally believe he's sober nowadays, but in this interview he sounds kinda wasted. XD
So Ace is sober here?
I think this was the start of his sober life.
Sober-ish

Ace sold his image for $100K.
Is that true?

Wow, that was a steal.
13:35 ... Must've been figuring out the reunion/unplugged etc.. Or starting to get the wheels in motion.

He never got a record deal again because his music was extra ordinary.
I think you win for creepy/best avatar.

Not sure what that was. But this is still a great interview.
In hindsight we know that Ace was definitely doing drugs during this time period.
@@TheTapesArchiveI should mention that I absolutely love old Kiss. Just not his solo material.
“Noone else can wear my makeup”……ummmmmm ….no
