Breath deeper got me through one of the most traumatic years of my life. It’s a long story but my mother sold me to an Iraqi man (were white Americans it wasn’t cultural she wanted money) and I fell for someone who didn’t want me. Ran away then spent some time homeless and slowly got on my feet through sheer willpower just to prove I was good and mentally healthy enough to be properly loved. To me breath deeper will always be about showing that person I can do it on my own for them even if I’ll never have them

BREATHE DEEPER WAS MADE THAT WAY?? crazy bc I’ve been jamming to it every day, my craze for it comes in waves every few months. So amazed because the song is stunningly assuring and meaningful, yet groovy and chill. Makes you feel so many emotions while listening to it but safe in midist of it all
The first time I heard tame impala I was tripping acid in a barn in 2015 Let It Happen played and I thought something was wrong with me forever and I was stuck in loop at the end of the song that lasted a hundred years 😅 Never knew hearing that song he would become my favorite artist I’m so grateful for the musical experiences this man has given me.
It’s a shame how his music branched out into a more mainstream radio sound. The old stuff will always be gold. At least we still have Pond putting out bangers.
Tbh if his new mainstream sound is what he wants to do, kudos to him Personally I like the currents era the most but that's probably becs the album is very relatable right now

Listening to this is like walking through a house someone designed to look exactly like your house, but because the designer didn’t know the house as well as you there are still a few mistakes and changes made here and there that just make the whole experience feel uncannily distant yet familiar.
Me too I challenge my social anxiety by being stoned before I go work I’m showered and eye drops so they don’t know but it really helped me become more confident

It’s funny because there was a time when my girlfriend took me a LV store to pick something up. I’d have never been to what in my mind was a really high end fancy store. So while I was there I started to get anxious. I felt like I didn’t belong and I didn’t want to be there. Coincidentally enough, this song starts playing and it gave me a breathe of fresh air if you will. Just enough to wait for my girlfriend to get her bag and leave. I remember thinking, at least they play Tame Impala. Kept jamming until we left the store to continue our walk inside the mall.
4.5 grams of some delicious shrooms and seeing his Lonerism set was phenomenal! I was freezing balls but as soon as Be Above It hit I didn't feel anything but joy!!
