For me, that exhaustion with the game is how I feel about the new dungeon. The dragon dice event you can do while doing something else, but the dungeon, you have to focus on it for 20 minutes each time. That's just too much. I generally just don't do it. I do agree with you on the dragon dice event too though. Too many timers and events going on. We need an event break. Other online games are not like this. Their events are doable in about half the time the event is running. They don't require you to get up in the middle of the night to hit a reset. It's so relaxed.
I feel like these events would be less of an arseache if the resets were every 12 hours but they'd probably still be just as mind-melting. I don't know how they can improve, I'm sure they can but this event is like a beta event even though it was a legit event, if that makes sense?

I feel like making the events doable without needing to hit all the timers would go a long way towards fixing the problem. It would be great if we could hang out with friends, do work, sleep for an adequate amount, and still complete events. Obviously they're not going to do that though. For me it would already be great if there was only a dungeon once every two weeks. I might be more motivated to do it then. Or just eliminate the timers entirely. Use dungeon tickets, so you can do the dungeon when it works for you, and not at 3am. And then you earn more tickets by defeating dragons in the dungeon. It could work.
Hey, if the game is stressing you out, it's time for a break. It's supposed to be fun, and if it's not doing that for you, it's just a toxic waste of time. And that's okay. Spend a few weeks enjoying other things, and when you get the desire to come back, come back. It will be fun again then, I promise. (I took a 3 year break myself!) Almost all games have an RNG factor, and are designed for profit more than anything else. Don't let it bother you. Can't get that new dragon? Don't sweat it, it'll be a prize in an easier event in a month or two. Just do what you can. Don't stress.
Thanks for the vid Quacks. You speak for a lot of us DML players. I posted a really negative comment on one of your previous videos criticizing the bottomless dungeon. I deleted it though because i felt bad being such a downer. I 100% agree with you Quacks and I haven't even been playing a year yet. The events are too tedious and demanding. The thing i don't understand is that GL makes over 100 new dragons every year. Why can't they have a policy where EVERY dragon 3 years old or older becomes permanently breedable? Why do over 80% of the games dragons have to be locked behind these god awful events?
Nah, I gave up on the event over the past week and a half as well. Started to give up at Arcane, and then completely gave up after the Roll the Dice event. I have yet to complete an event as f2p. Well, I did manage to do that Chinese Dragon castle event...but only by the skin of my teeth. I've given up on posting on the forums because I'm tired of getting shat on by people blatantly lying by saying "it's not p2w" when every single mobile game out there is p2w, and DML is no exception. I made a post about the 70k emberstones for Fluffy, and the majority of the posts just makes me want to respond with; "Ok, apologist". Like...I'm just done. Honestly, if you want to play other games besides DML, I'll still watch (welp, except horror...I'm really bad with dealing with horror), and I'm sure most of us following you feel the same. I like DML for the breeding and dragon designs...and I like your discord group...but DML is getting exhausting and stressful. If you need to take a break from it, then take a break. And the "drug" name you're looking for, I believe, is a chemical in the brain called "dopamine".

I played Ancient event and Got all the 4 Ancient dragons without money And now i am literally dying ! Yes i am happy that i Got all of them but after sacrificing my sleeping time i can't feel good About it , just hope it gets better in the future
I used to play dml all the time, but over the last six months I've lost all interest in the game, and honestly the only reason I haven't deleted it is because I've spent so many hours on it. If I could give my account to someone who I knew would use it, I'd honestly gladly be done with it
RNG? more like DNG Decided Number Generator. I've had one occasion in the dungeon Dice where I've rolled a double six but I needed a different number to hit a specific spot but the rerolls gave me three more sixes in a row.
RNG is the reason I can grind for a month and not get anything, while some other guy can randomly log in and win a devine or an ancient its a STUPID system
I was able to get the Molim dragon barely without any money. The reasons why were cause since I play mobile it was more convenient and I was able to wake up in the morning and get the orbs. But still even tho I was able to mostly keep up with it, I was still behind by 20 pieces but because of the milestone of spending a lot of those orbs, it gave me the 15 free pieces of Molim which allowed me to get the dragon. It sucks that I worked hard and I wouldn’t be able to get the dragon without that milestone reward.
I completely agree and stand with you in all this nonsense. This game is so predatory and definitely exploits the little hits of dopamine just as you were saying. I've had bum resets (6 then 12) and I have insomnia so I kinda managed to get each reset by sleeping around 4am then getting up at 11am, then using the VIP bonus for the 4½ hour egg times and guess what? Even with every reset I only got ik'ez, I barely managed molim and I'm 300/500 for pokra. I bought the shrine too, that was as far as I wanted to go but even with decent-ish luck I couldn't get oyar (not that I expected too, just would have been nice to get something from my efforts) I know I didn't have to do all that but I'm literally proving what you're talking about and even with some handy tricks I couldn't get all that I wanted. I hope Gameloft learn from this event, at least if your video reaches them they might actually listen because you're a great influence in this community. Anyways, I've been keeping up with you for years and I can see you will slowly fade but hopefully all your efforts to give constructive criticism will pay off. That's why I get so frustrated with this game. It COULD be such a good feeling, relaxing, breeding game filled with hundreds and hundreds of dragons. But instead, they ruin it all with timers all over the place which are very obviously aimed at making players feel the 'squeeze' so they buy more gems, bundles or whatever it is. DML is such a missed opportunity, and they've made changes in the past that have been great. If they just took away 90% of the timers (for things like enchantment league, dungeon etc) then I feel like this game could genuinely sit against some more mainstream games and would bring in a lot more players that get turned off immediately by all the monetization crap. I've been holding out for 5 years to see some improvements in terms of the timers area, but they're only getting more tedious by the month and that's really beginning to frustrate me. @@quackalakes it feels like they're slowly increasing timers/things to be timed just to see how far they can push. When I first started out I was dying to get the Crystal dragon and the siren dragon. Now I find myself trying to compete so hard against people with teams of Hathor, Freya and all the other P2W dragons. For me the game is about diversifying my team, breeding and the occasional dungeon event but now it takes me 3-5 months to max out a dragons level even with VIP which is sort of okay but then to compete I need the 8 enchantment stars. I used to work a 4 hour contract around the time of the Egyptian event and even that was stressful trying to allocate time to dither about with resets. Some of the timers are okay, I like the changes they made to farms but so much has just gotten worse, I completely agree with you. I feel like my account (Andy pipkin from little Britain) resembles what Gameloft are doing; when people focus on what Gameloft are doing, Gameloft are all apologies and basic but as soon as people let their guard down Gameloft get away with murder and cram a load throw all sorts of poop to see what sticks. It's good to see that your approach isn't entirely bias, you do see the bigger picture and raise valuable complaints. Also it's no problem, I don't know why I haven't liked the video yet but I will be doing that shortly. @@RIP15pFreddo I feel like people that have long commitments in their day (school, work etc.) are really pushed to their limits with these sorts of events. You have to wake up earlier in the morning to be able to hit a reset in time before breakfast and running out the door, you have to make sure you get back before the next reset timer hits so you don't want to stay overtime / for after school activities, your friends ask you to meet up after work and you go "no sorry I'm busy", and you're just going back for event resets. I know people that have done exactly this and told me. It doesn't have to be like that. We can do normal life things and enjoy video games, it doesn't have to be one or the other. The only reason it happens in DML is because people have allowed it to become acceptable in their minds. There's no reason whatsoever from an end-user point of view why the event timers can't be made to be less gruesome. The only reason they stay like that is because Gameloft can manipulate people into feeling like they have to spend in order to get any value. Well, let's be real, you kind of do have to spend nowadays to get through everything. I have also heard about the lights at night keeping you awake before, although it was a few years ago now since I read the studies. But it is one of the things that I think about with all these players talking about "waking up at 1am to hit my reset". They're not getting un-broken sleep and plus, a lot of them find it difficult to fall asleep again because having a phone screen in your face or having to get out of bed to turn your computer on during the night is just ridiculous and should never, ever be a requirement to completing "free to play" events.
2 days before the devine event started i was afk and taking a break from dml the break lasted 2-4 months i was so demotivated that i didnt do the crono egypt devine event then when the ainchent evenent has started i started to play again non stop grinding for tikets in the dungeons in the chapters barely mised a reset but now that it's over i am taking a break the break will stop when the next ainchent event starts
I just got slushy, flame and red Horn dragons. Even the hundred ancient chest i opened, with the great luck of getting 1 ancient piece per card (i admit i only connected twice or three times per day), but at least i could get sagitarius dragon and leo dragon by breeding events. P.D: I see it as a win for me, a player who played since the game came out but took a break of 2 years and come back because i remember How good and fun this game is, and my strongest dragon is just Level 30 with 3 enchanted stars. So i see get 2 legendaries as a win and more if 1 is my zodiac sign.

So i have opened 456 chests(keep in mind that i am a f2p ) an i have got 7 red horns 10 shlushies 196/100 peaces for fire storm 75/100 for the river 411/500 for pokra 313/500 for molim got melusine and i have the flame dragon. Yo be honest i did prety good this devine event.(I STILL HATE YOU RIVER)

Yeah I think its good just be careful you'll need a lot of ancient materials and divine if you have 2 ancient drakes in your team. And why would anybody hate you? It's a game. I have 2 pokras +27 extra pokra pieces got all the other ancients as well and arcane with 2nd try meanwhile my friend was missing 18 pieces for pokra if I could I would have given him missing pieces or the egg itself but hey it is what it is.
I kinda enjoyed this event + collection was easy since 200/ea After hatching my Pokra I'll have the Oyar Dragon and I was lucky enough to hatch the Arcane Dragon too! 1st time I get all event dragons in a divine/ancient event :D

That’s a pretty good idea actually! Then the player base can compensate for the gradually stronger and stronger dragons being released.

I find the dice event dragons were way to hard to optain because you need soo many peaces. With the event ticket event it was obtainable

Yeah I think its good just be careful you'll need a lot of ancient materials and divine if you have 2 ancient drakes in your team. And why would anybody hate you? It's a game. I have 2 pokras +27 extra pokra pieces got all the other ancients as well and arcane with 2nd try meanwhile my friend was missing 18 pieces for pokra if I could I would have given him missing pieces or the egg itself but hey it is what it is.

After hatching my Pokra I'll have the Oyar Dragon and I was lucky enough to hatch the Arcane Dragon too! 1st time I get all event dragons in a divine/ancient event :D

@@Corviidei Well I got the agave bundle that gave about 70 tickets, the rest was luck and reaching the last milestones of the map + roll the dice. Got 1 100x + a bunch of 25x.
