Loosen up your belts we are going to show you what burping a coolant system is and how to do it.
When the water level gets low in the system, you can get air trapped. This can result in an over heating issue. Never open the cap when the engine is hot. Severe burning can happen. The best way to get all the air out and not suck some back in is by using a funnel. You can make one from a 2L bottle or do like we did and spent $20 on a kit that works real good. See the link above.

If needed add extension tubes to the funnel to raise coolant level above the heater core and/or head water passages in order to get rid of air locks. works about 95% of the time.

Or just leave the cap off…

Are used to do that as well, I just like the way that this does not let any air back into the system.

Let’s hope not so far. This seems to have fixed it. Temperatures are running good.

@@FloridaJeepRides I'm joking glad to hear it's good.
I just am reminded of the time I stood in front of a Honda for way too long waiting on the bubbles to stop lol

@@FloridaJeepRides I’m still seeing bubbles after more than 20 min using the spill free funnel like yours. Could I have a blown head gasket?

    So far so good?

Yes that did fix the issue, 5 min or so of running and burping the hose did the trick. No more sloshing sounds.

Or could have bad head gaskets

That was one of my fears, the 2007 went through a whole season of endless error codes. I ended up taking it to a shop and he discovered that the fuel filter that is in the tank and the pump were bad. I’ve been driving it ever cents with no issues. The other thing is that the cover for the thermostat tends to crack very easily. And then leaks slowly, but just enough to make you low on fluid.

When I was having all the issues with the 2007 I asked the mechanic about getting a replacement crate motor. Right now apparently even with Jasper motors are way more expensive than they should be and the wait list is months long.
