    Careful with that chainsaw blade on the angle grinder... It usually wins against the digits. Its a shredder... Almost lost 2 fingers from it catching and kicking back

      Thank you - I believe it was 3 sheets of 3/4” plywood. However, after looking further… it may have been 4 sheets. Glued together.

    Nice! What was the bit you used in the drill? The yellow one that you did the sanding with.

      Hey Victor - it was a 2" sanding disc with various grits of sand paper. Though it wasn't necessary on this piece, I took the grit up to 600.

      Standard plywood… although Birch would look FANTASTIC. Yes, 12 tooth carving round.

    Inspiring work! I'm going to try it...emphasizing TRY. How long do you have to wait for the glue between the boards to dry before you can start?

      Brian - that’s great. You gotta start somewhere! I believe I waited 7 days for the glue to dry before I started carving.

      Tom - I don't recall the exact dimensions, but I believe it was around 12 inches in height, and 48 inches in length. The beauty of these pieces is that they can be cut to any size!

      @@ArtByKevinZapata It's actually just 3 pieces of plywood stacked up. The 3/4" plywood is pretty thick.

      @@ciaranosullivan7791 It doesn’t matter how you stack them…you can make it as thick/thin as you want. The beauty of plywood! Yes, I glued them together with wood glue.

    What bit did you use in the grinder? And what was the wood you used?

      The first one was 14 Tooth Chain Disk for woodworking and second one was a Shaping Disk but I do not know if it was medium or fine. You may find them on Amazon.
      Anyway, the result is very nice.

      I think he had multiple sheets of plywood glued together in order to get the required thickness.

      If every person worked the same type of wood in the same way, whether they are a carpenter or artist, the world would be a very boring place indeed. I like the end result uncomplicated, beautiful and tactile. This is art. 🙂

      The idea or visualization of a project even before it is done is something artistic.
      I believe that the choice of plywood is part of the idea of creating this striped effect ... then you may like it or not.
      The final effect, in my opinion , is pleasant.

      Did someone call your cat ugly again and you just decided to take it out on someone else? I think that it’s kinda cool that he made something that is 3D and has patterns, colors, and shapes from a piece of plywood.
