- In this video I show you 5 texture ideas you can use to make your woodworking more interesting. These simple textures when practised can make your work really stand out from the crowd. Any questions just let me know in the comments below.
For your enjoyment I have compiled 5 different texturing techniques into one satisfying video. These simple texture ideas all can be created using a rotary tool and a small selection of bits. They do however require a certain amount of of patience and a little practise. 3 of the videos are using the @rotarychisel bits and the other 2 just using a regular rotary tool cutting disk available anywhere. If you like these videos let me know and I'll make more, and if you have any questions just let me know :)

Really liking this. Thanks for posting it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you do a light sanding or abrasive rub to get rid of the little fibres that the tool raises?
Yes, sandpaper and a stiff brush work well
Killer stuff
Cheers mate!
Which bit would you pick it you could only have one? What’s the most all purpose bit? Thanks!
If you hace a die grinder or dremel you can get a set of 5 carbide bits off ebay. You can then experiment with those for cheap. Alternatively if you have a grinder already you can just use what discs you aleady have. I usually use one or the other :)
From A Seed I just got a Dremel so I really wanna start using it! I’ve used kutzall discs with my angle grinder and I really enjoy using that.
@@timo9355 Yep the Kuzall are like the Sabuur that I use. I'm posting a short video on using my Dremel with the carbide bits on Instagram this morning if you want to take a look. Will be posted in about an hour.
I'm not very good at art and especially drawing/painting. I say that because I've recently gotten an urge to do some woodcarving. I got me a dremel 4300 with a flex end and now I am trying to figure out what bits I need and skills to learn...
I cant drwa to save my life :) Check this out www.fromaseed.net/blog-andrew-daniels-woodworker-articles/a-guide-on-different-texturing-tools-for-woodworking

Cool! You got a link.
Great music
Cheers mate, a bit of a hobby
Hi , which is the best timber for texturing.?I love your work.
Usually a medium density timber that is somewhat stable. I use a lot of Jacaranda, not the best for turing but it looks good when complete
