I was a L&D nurse for 45years, now retired. From what I remember from scrubbing for Cesarean Sections, the omentum is pushed up by the growing uterus, not stretched around it. I don’t remember encountering it on the way in to the baby, but as they closed the doc would gently pull the lower edge down as far as it went to cover the organs. Didn’t have to pull hard, so I couldn’t judge its elasticity but since it’s only attached at the top it was easily repositioned.

My favorite idea was not at the beginning, but the end - have a give each other compliments segment. Maybe not good for business, but it would be so fun and sweet.

Your rural medicine character is begging for a feature length dramedy. Like entering into the state fair to raise money for a new ultrasound machine kind of movie.

You should have a EMS Physician character. I know it's a separate world but having an EMS bro would be so fun

Enjoyed the episode. It took me right back to the moment I found out I was expecting, near the beginning of residency training for both my husband and me. Then three more over the years. I got to experience financial stress, along with being old for my last child. Not sorry I had any of them:)

I am a patient of Corvallis Clinic. They were on the verge of shutting down until UHC purchased them. Hearing the other side of the story from you is not surprising. Optum is the one that is driving me crazy with my prescriptions. I have one that they have been unable to fill due to a nation wide shortage.Trying to contact them and get any sort of an answer or even notice that they are not filling it (imagine that!) is difficult. Fortunately a local pharmacy has been very helpful but they complain of being between a rock and a hard place due to reimbursements from Optum.

The Godfather quotes do really match up to Health Insurance Mafioso.
"I'm going to give him an offer he can't refuse"
"It's not personal, its strictly business"

Has anybody told you today, (besides being super hysterical) how absolutely adorable you are? It’s a fact. You are extremely talented, very musing, and I get a lot out of all your shorts and your videos and just keep it coming…if you love it, we love it!💚💚💚

Hear me out-- Glaucomflecken Presents: Hospital Sounds... but it's an ASMR album to help you fall asleep. Nice white noise and that swishy sleep music, but with faint beeping sounds, muffled voices of doctors and nurses and family talking in other rooms, maybe muffled rounds presentations, on one exciting track there's the sound of a bunch of people running down the hallway, a nurse coming in to check your vitals at the beginning of every track. It'd be the auditory expression of that kinda drugged, half-awake half-asleep rest that you get when you're hospitalized for a few days.

I can’t stand the beeps in a hospital. I heard too many of them when my mother was dying so I don’t find that funny it’s just depressing. Sorrreee.

The beeping! The horror! Not at all funny; it was a nightmare except I never slept for 4 days. I have never been so miserable in all my 74 years.

I can't for the life of me understand why it's legal for health insurance companies to own hospitals. When my husband had esophageal cancer, he needed surgery to remove his esophagus. It is considered one of the most difficult surgeries. We had to fight like hell to get him referred out of network. The local thoracic surgeon in the insurance company owned hospital had only ever done 10 of these surgeries...

It's not much better in countries with public health insurance. Hospital workers are underpaid and overworked. But is free. Although we have a longer waiting list for PBS-subsidised medicine.

    An idea for a show:
you probably have done it but I am fairly new so I may have missed it but I’m very curious how you create your shorts because it’s like you’re in a room and you’re looking in specific directions and when you cut from one scene to the next it flows and I’m wondering if you write your scripts out, if you have any kind of notation ? I see that you change your persona so I’m wondering you must have to plan that out that must take a lot of time to get each shot
You change the shirt change the angle of the camera And remember what it is and it seems very seamless so you’re doing something really well. How do you plan it out?

If you win the spelling bee, you will receive free cataract surgery. You could create cards that feature a character on the front and a description on the back.

Has anyone ever signed up for a new insurance and paid their first premium and then be notified after the money was received that a small portion of their monthly premium is going towards elective abortions? Like why did they even tell me. In this case ignorance would have been bliss. All this did was tick me off, I ranted how evil they are and I will never be recommending anyone ever sign up with them because of this stunt. Is this a common thing? Do all insurances take a portion of your premiums to fund abortions that have nothing at all to do with you? What if I completely disagree to my core with that type of procedure?! I think what they did was rude and evil. What say anyone else? Was this just how it is now?

Well, Jesus Christ, that’s what your taxes are for the help pay for schools to teach children that are not yours and they make street signs for other people to make stops at and yes you’re paying into it join the club

    • @virginiamoss7045
      @virginiamoss7045 5 місяців тому +2

There may be a government requirement, but I've not heard of it so it could be a company policy. But I suspect that they are not literally setting aside that part out of your premium. All our premiums go to pay for other people's health care; if they break the totals received down into types of claims paid, they might have a category for abortions just like one for heart ablation or kidney transplant. Why they let you know about just one category does seem strange.

Because religious fanatics want to ban it without considering that it is a potentially life saving procedure. The more they trigger you the more control they can have over other peoples' lives, the more funding they can squeeze out, and the more political power they can assert. Why not put your HOA president in charge of your guts?
