What is one more body amongst its foundation?
The biggest and simplest reason of all is aesthetic. The extent to which you introduce feminine qualities to the Astartes is the same extent to which you diminish their intimidation factor.
The entire point of them is that they are weapons. They are the masculine warrior ideal exaggerated. You only diminish what they are when you tell us that even women can be Astartes.
So far zero women have been able to qualify for SAS or SEALs. The vast majority of men cannot do it. Astartes would have to be easier than SAS for there to be female initiates.
Agree about the aesthetics, though in the far future of the 41st millennium the modern standards for SAS or Seals probably doesn't apply

There shouldn't be female Space Marines because:
1. It would contradict pre-existing lore that states that the augmentation process doesn't work on women.
2. It would mean subjecting women to horrific surgical augmentation and mental conditioning; not a good look.
3. It would diminish the relevance of the Sisters of Battle, who are basically already female Space Marines, just without the posthuman genetic enhancements, which makes them even more badass.
4. It would be nothing but superficial catering.
Look, i think they should make it lore accurate atm and not switch it up at all for this series. However your points are just dumb 1. They retcon constantly and make new rules and stuff. They could easily make a new kind of space marine that is female. THERE IS EVERYTHING IN THE 40K lore. 2. Its grimdark nothing looks good, but that is what 40K makes 40K everything is done but augmentation is a bridge to far??? 3. Well SoB are normal humans and not really what a space marine is. 4. for this show yes, for the vast world of 40K no.
Point 2 doesn't really make sense considering all the times the sisters get ripped apart in stories. Honestly, point 3 is probably the most reasonable.
@@Zaxonage 1 retcons are stupid and should not be done without extremely; good and well written reasons. Pretending it was always the case is just lazy writing and should never be accepted. 2y eah it's grimdark, look of it doens't matter, but it would still be lazy, figure out other ways to do it. Space Marines are pretty well established but agreed too grim dark is not an argument. 3 then have Cawl figure out a way to augment women into something more akin to a space Marine. you could make that new lore, easy to come up with an explanation. No need to retcon anything. I'm not sure why it is somehow important to just cram women into roles for men when there are plenty of ways to gte women into the settings already. 4 Yes it would be catering, we all know it. nobody asked for this. It's just designed to get thsoe DEi/ESg points up Which is there to appease nobody that would spend money. If they cannot figure out a way to write interesting female characters than a Space marine paintjob isn't going to somehow make it work any better. I don't even consider the Space Marine to be the most interesting characters in 40K at all. ALmost all roles int eh imperium can be performed by men as well as women. So don't you think it's just pathetic they just want to stuff them in the few roles they are;t supposed to be in?. mind you, the people that want this are not the customers to begin with.

@@Nerdiness1985 Im not saying they should retcon the lore, at GW they already do it too much. but saying it aint lore accurate so it should not be done in some kind of way is just dumb. You can always have newbreed of space marines just like the primaris space marines that allow geneseed for females in the future. Ofcourse the reason why they want it in the show is not from the community itself and is a terrible idea, cause atm it aint lore accurate and just catering to people who dont even like or know the 40k universe. But im arguing for the future lore and models that the person i replyed to his points are downright dumb and terrible.
