@Country Road Cure I think an outhouse style build for fishing gear would be adorable.

yes - I was thinking it would be cool to store a portable grill, ice chest, lawn chairs/patio umbrellas, etc. so they can have shade in the hottest months readily available so that they don't have to haul things back and forth every time they head that way.....and long term, an actual outhouse with a compostable toilet.

Anthony and Roxanne, for the fountain in the pond, you may find it useful to check Can't Contain Us. They did it and spent as little as possible and have a fairly nice one. They are very nice young couple.
Look in their playlist All things Water and Plumbing. It's there. Very simple and easy to do. I hope it's close to what you want.
Thank you for answering questions, and sharing with us.

Love the park pavilion idea. Very useful and versatile space. Can’t wait to see how you continue to develop your property. I sure hope the kids decide to put down roots there and are nearby as they start their adult lives.

Just a thought about the space between the main steps and Thunderdome. Wouldn't it be better if you just attached the space together with a little deck and leave it open. If one of you had an accident and needed help immediately wouldn't closing that pass through off make it difficult to get to the pole barn or back to the house?

Hey y’all! I have been watching since your sheds were delivered as well and have also went back and watched from the beginning of CRC & SLR’s videos.
I have sent a few little gifts to you and SLR in the past. You know me as Diane or Aunt Di. My question is, I know that the treehouse will be more of Mel and Gary’s project. Have you bounced any ideas back and forth on the build or the fun stuff that will be added later? I always include Wyatt when I send a “treehouse” gift for the kids. For the steps up to the lake, how about using some of the larger flat rocks in the creek?
Keep doing what you are doing and love the way you love. (Please tell Mel I am hanging in there! Stage 4 bone cancer hasn’t taken me down yet!) 💪🏻 💝🎗🎗🎗

I'm at the part about flowers along the path- a few azalea bushes sprinkled down it, maybe a few crepe myrtles along the way would give you both some spring and summer color refreshment along with bulbs and wildflowers and ferns would be natural and be so nice to walk down. Nothing I listed requires a lot of care but the trees would need to be watered occasionally through the first year to set good roots. Whatever you do I know will be amazing, cause hey! Y'all are awesome! Texas Deb ❤️

Beautiful artistry in your intro...and even between each question! As to a shed for the pond, you could almost use the same plans you already have for the picnic table area. I would think it would be fairly easy to alter the plan somewhat to add some walls and a door??

    Hi guys! Just an FYI..
I don't know if you knew lilies are dangerous to your pets. The toxins in the pollin even just inhaling can shut their organs down. Also if the tubular part is chewed it is very toxic and quickly.

The pavillion would be a jamup idea. It'd be so useful and fun for everyone. A suggestion, with the stumps in the pond/waters edge- use the winch on the S×S to help pull them out, with the S×S chained to a tree so there's no slippage. I've done a many Brazilian Pepper Trees on my property at Lake Okeechobee here in Florida that way. Also, a wooden storage closet can be purchased from Lowes or the like for next to nothing, to be used for rods and such at the pond. Love what ya'll are doing ❤

I know you are going to pull the tree stumps from the pond edge. Have you thought about putting some large rocks/small borders in a section to help prevent erosion? I love that you didn't put the metal shed at the pond. Instead of a vertical shed, what about a small deck with benches that closed in for storage. Make them long enough for fishing poles.

Playing guitar for 27 years?? You must've started when you were like 10 or something. Love the idea of keeping the path and pond area natural. We have a little 5-acre chunk of love that's mostly rolling forest, where we camp pretty much year-round. Our cabin is a rustic 12X20, with solar power, an outhouse, and hauled-in water (no well possible here). Hubby cut a little path across the hill from our main campsite to the secondary one, and I just LOVE the looks of it, winding through the trees. Makes me wanna sing "over the river and through the woods......"

Watching your latest and someone asked about flowers on the path to your pond. You mentioned you didn't want to make it too "artificial" and maybe put railroad tie steps to your pond? Real flowers are not "artificial looking", especially (native to AR) plants and flowers. AR has beautiful native plants and flowers. Railroad ties have oil and creosote and could have a detrimental affect to your land. Although heavy and more labor intensive, stone steps would be a better natural alternative and look better than those railroad ties. 👍 to your channel!

Ant and Rox, about the path to the pond…. We have a. Trail to our pond and on up the mountain. We have solar lights going along the trail. We have a better solar light setup that we are working on though. We also tossed out a ton on sunflower seeds in the spring, was beautiful to see on the trail. Our 9 year old son wanted to decorate the trail for Halloween so we did that (great way to get them walking more…and me too lol) and now he wants it decorated for Christmas. So we are working on that now. Our thoughts are to make the trail fun for our kid and us to spend time on. 🙂 Just some ideas to bounce around. Love you all. Sorry I don’t comment a lot, I am normally watching from my tv and not able to comment like that.

Do 2 or 3 solar fountains in the pond. For those stairs, just build a bridge from the house deck to the ThunderDome deck. I figured that was the plan in the beginning anyway. I'd also make it a covered bridge so walking through in the heavy rain it's a no big deal.
