You forgot one thing, thunderdeep drask in heroic esca is harder then the entire dark souls series ffs
I have to agree with you on that how come hes more harder than the legendary behemoths i die by him and keep ask way is his dmg so high is seems like every new behemoths they put new into the game has there dmg higher than the legendary behemoths

It always bothers me that when you are gonna dodge an attack, you dodge it but you get hit with the body of the behemoth even when its NOT part of the attack, so yeah, you dodge twice, even 3 times for 1 attack, thats dumb
I hate the drask tail swing. So dumb. You dodge at the start when it starts swinging but it does a fking 360 and it hits you again at the end of the swing. And because it's not that fast your ddoge invisibility runs out

I think we need actual new behemoths rather than variants, and make them neutral type, giving a reason for going neutral armor and weapons( which need some sort of rework)
a few suggestions for behemoths, Giant Butterfly, an Spider-like creature that summons smaller spiders, A suspicious shallow lake that summons a Large Squid or Kraken from underneath ( dont ask me how), or a long serpent that blows blue fire breath like a dragon.

I hate that when a behemoth goes inraged and you're about to stagger it the stagger just goes away completely. Or when you stagger a behemoth during a attack it can just not stagger it.
When I reforge the spear I always have this problem on iron falls because I prefer hunting skarns

@@ensar2805 there are actually lots of opportunities to stun or interrupt it. It will charge like embermane at the start of the fight. And it frequently throws shock balls that can be reflected back to stun it. If you miss hitting the shock balls, it will charge at you again. Easy.
Your complaint about Drask I feel applies to Kharabak as well. It’s really annoying to consistently hit it when it jumps and flops around for several seconds with every part break or stagger.
Had to stop playing dauntless since the ps4 version kept messing up whenever there was an update and wouldn't install even if i uninstalled and reinstalled. Your videos always helped me with stuff and its good to see your still making them. Hopefully when i get a ps5 or pc in a few months i'll be able to watch you regularly again and play
That’s weird my ps4 can run dauntless just fine
@@statue2426 mine could too but a little after the hunt pass with the cosmic looking armor ended it just said update waiting to install and i couldn't get rid of it even if i uninstalled and it made me unable to play the game. I don't have the ps4 pro anyway anymore so it doesn't matter.

5:58 I wouldn't say "lately" I'm pretty sure this has been a thing for forever at least with Shrike and Skraev. I personally only noticed it and started endlessly complaining about it in september 2019 but I feel like it probably existed long before that

THRAX SHOULD HAVE A SORTA-LIKE-RIFTSTALKER PORTAL THINGY RIGHT BEFORE APPEARING ON THE TRAIN AETHERCHARGED PART.
Not only would it look more epic, but it would also me the same mechanic as a behemoth winding up for an attack, giving the slayer a chance to hit the train interrupt window.
Would be pretty epic ngl.
I think the most annoying thing right now in dauntless is, when I swap my warpike in haunting ground, if I use the reckless leap special it will not do the special. It will leap in small distance
I have the same problem with thrax weapons when i use the special ability sometimes it glitches and does not work or does no damage or sometimes it does not even land i end up having to roll to unglitch and i waste it and have to wait forever to get it again
I’ll add my own little rant:
Bird behemoths, all of them, have stupidly large wing swipe attacks that are extremely difficult to dodge through since they all hit multiple times, not to mention hitting through it’s partner behemoth in dual hunts.
Also I like to use Repeaters for specific part breaks, and I think that it’s annoying that we can’t cancel a reload for a dodge, so that you just get hit if you get forced to reload.
Personally, I'm fine with that aspect of reloading since repeaters (not having any combos) generally have the lowest level of commitment compared to every other weapon in the game.
Turning off auto reload helps a lot with this

I like hunting birb behemoths because they wound easily
For skraev. The blinding part isn't too big of a problem, but why can he put down multiple storms that stack blindness?... he should only be able to have one at a time
I remember when deadeye quill shot was pin point accurate before the escalations, that was one of the most angering hunts to go on.
Skarn‘s tornado attack not registering it being interrupted, getting sucked in the tornado and then downed for like 10-15 seconds is annoying af

The mini volcanos should be able to be broken qnd summon molten orbs
I could swear at one point they removed the interrupt from Thrax's portal train. I remember early on in umbral Esca release that it had the interrupt marker on the portal train but now it doesn't.
I hate every gnasher, and the thunderdeep drask, but I want to go into every dimension the chronovore exists in and rip it to pieces because trying to get its tentacles is SO DAMN HARD

A behemoth that bothers me is the FrostWulf, I feel that the time it lasts down is very little and it moves very fast, you have not reached where it is and then it flees back to the opposite side, you hardly hit it and its hitbox is pretty small, it's hard to get it's tail and nails, then we have it's attacks that slow you down

My complaint about Thrax is that it has cool armor and design, but the design would be more fitting if it was bigger. When I saw the thrax I was kind of scared because the headshot looked intimidating, but after seeing its body and design, it looked mor elike a sick daschund snake than anything and I was very much so let down.
The rumor broke me too... You needed 100 had to wait to get even 1-2 and youd never get more than 2... Ever since i hate him for that even though he is one of the behe with little to no problems...
The worst part was when the frost Skarn rumors came out you could only get those things in escalation and they refused to spawn
Sahvyt is actually pretty easy if you look for sound queues. Its really unique and i like it
The thing that pissed me off instantly about the fights in this game were the dodge windows and stamina. I'm not a pro gamer by any means but I have hundreds of hours in games like Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro, thousands of hours in various rogue-likes etc and have a pretty damn good feel on I-Frames but this game just says fuck you, parts of the behemoth you wouldn't expect to cause damage or make contact hit you, the way certain behemoths move are just to slow to be dodged with one dodge but you aren't able to dodge again quickly enough, the stamina system needs work, I shouldn't have to neglect doing damage to be able to perform one dodge when needed.

Yeah there's some that are cool on paper but are unfun to fight. I hate heroic gnasher the explosion stomps, and crappy tale hit box drives me nuts sometimes. Ill be clear from a boop from him, yet ill still barely get nicked. Just annoying some hitboxs.
I know this game is old pretty much dead for the most part but me and my friends revisited daughtless and one thing I can definitely say is this game needed new different types of monsters it wasn’t hard to tell that the “new monsters” we were coming upon were just reskins of embermane quill shot and especially skrave
My friend never realized but I had pointed out the raven monster was just another skrave
Not only that but this game really loves skrave each island event we did there was a skrave besides a select few and if it wasn’t skrave its self it was variant or another new monster with its model and attacks
I remember when if you got hit by a certain torgadoro attack you would just become invincible

I think he forgot to mention that radiant behemoths should just be deleted. Most of the time their beam moves don’t even hit you and you still get one shot. Even now, 2 YEARS later😭
Yes, charrog do this move since before the escalations
Drasks spines can still hit you even if you are in the air (chain blades)
Also sup Trails good to see content is still flowing nicely on and off stream
Gnasher - flame born is more fun. Frost one is just annoying
Quillshot - it's quills are heat seeking missiles while enraged especially flame born otherwise kinda fun
Shrike - fun to beat up and interrupt
Embermane - too easy to interrupt and there should be a better way to deal with its automatic fire balls
Drask - its attacks are dated. Thunder deep lightning bolts find you anywhere and are op
Boreus - more like boring af
Valomyr - more like vale na'
Torg - donkey Kong is always fun
Riftstalker - needs better interrupts but fun
Shrowd - fun mechanic but blood shot suuuuuucks
Reza - also dated but flame born is fun when i manage not to get hit by its flame umbrella
Skraev - he's a bully but fun to bully back
Charogg - boring brute and spore struck is the least appealing
Stormclaw - fun but too rigid with its mechanics
Phaelanx - a complete mess but has potential with some changes
Kharabak - The worst airborne behemoth, only passable using war pike
Malkarion - fun but could use a refresh, stiff, dated mechanics
Agarus - by far the worst behemoth in the game after boreus and valomyr; not engaging, tedious enraged state
Skarn - the fat boy of the crew, can't hate
Frost wulf - runs away too much but his gear and unique weapon ability are fun
Urska - looks better than her performs, the freeze mechanic of that escalation in general is awkward
Thrax - fun but we need more options on dealing with his enraged state, best gear in the game
Chronovore - failed opportunity and the worst to farm but that's due more to the circumstances. Innovation with radiant behemoths are severely lacking. The circumstances of how Chronovore was rolled out is what hurts it. Similar to Agarus.
Koshai - mixed bag, but the most annoying thing is the original is still the best one. Haven't tried radiant yet
All the shadow touched behemoths suffer from the same creative issues of radiant behemoths. What they got right with riftstalker and shrowd they completely botched up with these. While the portals are fun they became at best predictable and at worst boring
While dauntless has done a competent job revamping its weapon mechanics and build construction with Omni cells and new cells and unique abilities to make it more interesting and diverse to fight behemoths, it's really hit and miss with behemoth fight mechanics and not consistent with its approach at keeping them challenging but fun. Their answer is to punish the player with greater damage output or tankiness rather than simply making the fight mechanics more engaging, diverse and fun.
Pangar - fun and straightforward but dated, best ice weapons in the game
Hellion - the lava has got to stop, the hiding underground has got to stop
Sahvyt - great design and sound, too repetitive and predictable
Deep frost skarn - missed opportunity, awkward and that rumor ruined him for me
Nayzaga - movements are fine but it's electro applications are stagnant and obnoxious
The chronovore annoys me so much, whenever I try to get a part break on the wing for a temporal fin, it just doesn't break
I would like Savith and Helions to have an interrupt attack when they enrage, also yeah the heroic escalation Thrax is so OP

Idk if its just me, I started playing dauntless a year or 2 ago I have a general understanding of the game and I believe all of the behemoths that are considered annoying, are actually good because they are considered a challenge. Like the gnasher forces you to be patient when its jumping. The pengar run away gives you a chance to take potions and so on. Maybe im just being optimistic but thats just me, I don’t feel like the game should be sooo easy and you just destroy every behemoth you come across, there should be some challenges
Yea i understand you do have a point but there some stuff that just don't make sense because it gets to point were you dont want to play the game anymore because you keep getting hit by some bs like wen you doged the behemoths attack you can see that it shows that you character is blue which means i doged the attack but i still get hit make no sense
Yeah, those are more bugs than anything. I totally agree to fix the bugs but don’t change the attacks you know? For instance skraev attacks match him perfectly and make him difficult, I enjoy difficulty in the game because if there is no difficulty then it becomes boring
While yes the drask flopping away is annoying I hate how much is runs away, with my cb i can only get a single hit before its away again and I can only assume its worse for my slower friends

Either the enemy hit box is larger than it seems on graphic or they made the player hit box the larger on purpose.

Stormclaws ai is still broken. Constantly walking away attacking the wall or ground while being across the entire continent, it's just annoying.

Never really had issues with that move in particular...maybe because I almost tunnel vision focus on the movements of the front right arm? The moment I see that thing lift for the stomp I'm either GONE or have some parry or dodge ready just for it. Only time it gets annoying is when its part of a duo round in escalation and its 'partner' is aggressive enough to keep you from properly timing a dodge

They renamed sporstruck embermane February but didn't rename sporestruck charog

@@bboytheslayer4903 the rename is cause it now has its own weapons and armor. They gave it a few extra moves too. But they’ve only done that for frostwulf (who was supposed to be its own behemoth in the first place) and fenroar

Boreus's ice shield is a huge load of shit 😑 probably my least favorite Behemoth mechanic in the game. 😅 Luckily he's a easy behemoth to kill all together.
Yea, because the health of Boreus is actually damn low. Try doing solo, it dies so fast sometimes even it doesn't even get to use the ice shield. They should just increase the health of the behemoth and remove the ice shield. Or least you just make it that you can't deal stagger, only part dmg
@@joshc.8489 Agreed, it would stabilize the Behemoth a lot. I enjoy fighting it, but that shield is aggrevating. Especially in trials.
I just wished he summons different types of flying fauna with more frequency, i find killing the minions quite fun. its easy xp anyways.
ill say this it seems to me that they nerfed the logic in this game lol most of the hit box on these monsters is nuts

Here are a few more things to hate. Pangar/Hellion can hit you with their left/right stomp even when you stand on the opposite side of their bodies. All flying types love to take off often making most weapons useless hence why we need more ranged options. Embermane and all variants love to run around often and by the time you've chased them for a hit, you can often guarantee them to potentially run away to another spot. Another reason why we need more ranged options. Cronovore's tail can be a little finicky to dodge when it does its wide sweeping attack and its burning ring mechanic can also be annoying due to its random timings.
Nah, flying and the lighter behemoths have lower health. Makes sense they run and fly around. And they all can be interrupted quite easily. Just need to learn how to take opportunities to attack after interrupting
@@joshc.8489 The Interrupts I can handle, it's the annoying movements and lack of them using their interruptable attacks that infuriates me. Shrike/Skreave have a few flying attacks and only one has an interrupt.
Embermane variants can often run around before even thinking of using an interruptable attack.
@@riicky83 yea, for me the worst are Sporestruck embermane and Phaelanx. Barely any interruptable moves and really badly designed movements. The rest of the embermanes you just gotta kill them fast. They have more interrutable moves and the start of the fight. Just dont drag it out.
I think this game is made for hard player that want to improve everything : gear , combat techniques and strategy. So, you are forced to repeat and repeat all you do too much times. Almost indefinitely. The only way to keep you get better in this game. Because it’s not a game with content updates. You just fight. And that is all. You can’t even play again an another player, in an arena (a great innovative challenge). I never seen a game with so much loops. The other thing I hate is random groups. They should put a level barrier : with a minimum level or power and armor. I see too much folks to come in escalation, hard mode, to be carried : in order to level faster. A part this negative things, this clone game has some potential. Even if I read longtime players quit the game because of content it offers.
