Thank you, This is the EXACT video i needed, Im gonna be referencing this video when i start working on my slayer levels, because i can go through the video, find the behemoth im fighting, and refresh myself on its staggerable attacks

This video has actually gotten quite a bit of traffic lately, so I feel it's worth adding another comment at the top here: Sword gameplay has completely changed since this video was released. I'm considering remaking this guide relatively soon covering the new sword gameplay. Sword light attacks can no longer interrupt. The attacks that can interrupt are the heavy attacks, including bladesurge, crescent strike finisher, and resounding echo when coupled with the charged swordfocus mod. Avenging Overdrive and Ardent cyclone are still the same. The two best interrupt methods for it now are to face away from the behemoth, and let your sword swing back around and catch it with the end of the hitbox. That and to jump, while moving toward the behemoth and a bit to the left, while performing the heavy attack. If I revisit this guide, expect it to be even more in depth than this one

Thrax interrupts with the port animation too, which is often the one that can be better timed and widely forgoten did only see the landing in the video But thanks for all the epic guides they sure help a ton of players

Interrupts added after the production of the video: Riftstalker: During enrage, the violent spinning attack can now be interrupted. This one is very difficult to not trade on, for everything but the sword's Avenging Overdrive parry.
In the vid you forgot that you could hit back the stormclaw lightning orb to boop it. Some people say it’s not a boop but it activates overpower soo it is. :D
A boop is only an interrupt. Not something that causes an overpower state. A stagger is not a boop, a shock proc is not a boop. Just an interrupt, as it’s better to have a one syllable word than a three syllable word to describe what you’re talking about

i have so much to say,but ill try and keep it condensed,this video was fucking amazing,i was super confused on how in certain situations they would be staggered via the lightest hit,and in others i could use just about everything in my kit and it would stay up and complete its attack,I'll be sure to come back when i experiment with other weapons,thanks so much man♡
I would definitely say that there's a split interrupt category, where you have to hit the head specifically on a few behemoths. I've never managed to get an interrupt on an embermane any time I've ever hit it that wasn't directly on the head for example.

Didn't even know Quillshot had a interrupt. I just dodge the quills or tank them. But when I do escalations alone is use Kosha's Lantern hold ability to warp out of the one shot and do the interrupt. Doing that will give me alot of free damage because the the behemoth is lock in an animation and then gets stunned.
This video has helped me so much. I keep checking back whenever I interact with new behemoths. Hope for a part 2 with some mission behemoth like helion soon!
skraev also stayes down longer if u boop him when he swoopes down instead of when he has the damage threshhold right before. i remeber my fist time booping pangar too and then i got addicted to booping him
2:48 be it Pangar, Skraev or Skarn, behemoths that take a long time to engage on attack that can be interrupted but mostly, I see a lot of players playing the ax, throwing their weapons even before the behemoths attack. sometimes it makes me laugh or cry😅
As a very old repeater player that had to solo hunt before hunting grounds came (went out for a long time only to find i can actually play with people now). Playing repeaters early is like a very painful sour experience, is it good? Not at all, is it rewarding? depends on if you have game knowledge which i didnt have. But nothing beats putting a ticking mine perfectly planted to the Skraev dive and shoot that guy wings off. Overrall now i see how many ways to bopp there were, may see the new updated guides.
Maybe I suck but I tend to miss nayzaga with axe horizantal attacks because of his low head hit box while sliding so for me a well timed vertical attack works better (or grim onslaught for the safe interrupt)

TheMrTrails not like it needs to be made easier. Kill shroom patch, vent, CB until dead. They should double its HP or make it actually try and throw you off when mounted.
I have a question. Does breacking a part of the monster and leaving him in the floor for a short time count to activate overpowered? Example: you broke rezakiri's tail and now he will be in the floor for a short time. Another example: you interrupt an embermane and breack the horn or the legs or whatever, causing him to stay in the floor. Does that count to activate overpowered?
Hey man. Say for example I was new to the game, what weapon would you recommend? I'm used to use strikers and got them to level 11, but I was too weak to complete any of my quests. I reset my progress and started again with a sword. (I know I shouldn't have reset progress but I felt like I rushed and missed some bits.) Now I use sword and have it lvl 11, but sometimes I wonder if I should've picked a different weapon. So to reiterate, what weapon do you recommend because I am considering switching to something else.
Try them all and see what you like to use the best. There is no right weapon, just what works the best for you. My favorite is chain blades, so I use them most of the time. I have only been using other weapons to level up on the slayer's path for the perks. I like some of the other weapons ok, but just keep coming back to my favorite.
It's always been rather precise, gaining a lot of additional attack speed doesn't exactly help it either. Usually I'd be able to perform it fine while away from a behemoth, but once I get to it, it wouldn't work anymore
Yo, do you know why I can only solo kill heroic benemoths when using chain blades??? i cant kill benemoths without chain blades and its killing me cuz if i use anything besides chain blades I suck
Well, if you're very practiced with them, it would make sense. The game is a bit more about understanding all of the behemoths first, then playing the other weapons will come naturally to you :)
I can say I honestly didn't know this. It really shouldn't, since it is a shot-type attack (only other shot-type is repeaters), but you don't exactly want to interrupt with it. Because overpower is so strong, you'd want to save that use of the special for when it has already been interrupted.

5:50 so wait you can't dodge and heavy punch any more with strikers and interrupt them anymore? if so thats the dumbest thing i ever heard. and essentially they made every weapon easier to boop with but strikers harder it doesn't make sense really.
@@TheMrTrails Gotchya it always worked for me and seems more safe than having to finish a whole combo. I guess if timed right it would be about the same time and such. Now that i think about it, for me though it would mess up whatever combo i was on. But yeah thanks for answering that merci.
You are killing it too fast most likely. Haven't checked out its new interrupt yet, haven't even fought a Valomyr since the last patch come to think of it.

i use repeaters and i was able to interrupt with a mine the dmg type interrupt quite a few times

A quick mention for the Skarn, when you boop its standing attack, don't stand behind it as it can land on you and damage you.

How is hitting back an orb a stagger? I get that it doesn’t have the red lines but quillshot enraged doesn’t have them as well

Just to help new players with storm claw interrupts, after the 5th fence "pole" is placed is when the interrupt phase will happen.
I think learning how to dodge and interrupt is how you get better at the game

As a chainblade main the dodge light is helpful, however when fighting urksa it often sends you above the map, which is funny but not helpful

Why is the concussive salvo not used that much? I only use that to interrupt with hammers 🤔
I still think weighted strikes have their uses when supporting a random and chaotic fight. Especially for chain blades.

It is just a bug that it’s there, there may potentially be an interrupt in the future, but the fight as it is now doesnt have one

It is a sword special, which you can purchase from Lady Luck through the completion of Normal Trials

Stormclaw can be booped by reflecting its lightning ball back at it.
This is not a boop. A boop is only what is classified as an interrupt. A shock ball from storm claw is an instant shock proc mechanic, not a boop

Part breaks, staggers, interrupts, and shock procs all count for overpower states.

As a strikers player, i actually interrupt pangar in a different way, doesnt trade either
why is it double tapping with hammer mighty land breaker doesnt work on normal ammoes, it only works with the charged ones, isit bug?

You can indeed, it used to be you couldn't interrupt without it, but it has since been changed.

Dodge heavy with strikers works, it's just not really safe. The second hit in the LHH combo is a rather safe, and not too hard to boop with.
