I think it was his time to go, I loved him and all but he did all he could do. He passed on his knowledge and wisdom to Rick and he got to see a community again. His death furthered the story line and everyone misses him. His death was the most tragic, and he deserved it for being such a strong character.

He was a wonderful actor, but often got cast as a villain, a psychopathic killer. Scott was such an amazing actor and could play any role--good or bad. Glad he got to make such a deep impression on a whole generation of young people as man of great upstanding moral character like Hershel Greene. And he really enjoyed playing this role. Upstanding, moral altruistic, this is exactly what he was in real life--one of my best friends and always sacrificed himself for others. A beautiful soul, I will always remember and speak with his spirit. RIP, my friend!

However this doesn't mean that I wanted to see him go... His speeches were so powerful and he was such an amazing character. I still get chills when he talks about risking your life by drinking water and breathing, his best one in my opinion.

Have you guys noticed how everything was never the same after Hershel passed? Rewatching TWD recently has made me see how much of a difference he made. He was keeping that group together, making them hold on to hope and humanity, making sure they could see there was more to life than just surviving. Everyone was so shook by his death, both the characters in the show, and us fans... Man, this is some good writing and acting. x)

I watched the mid season finale last night and I couldn't believe my eyes, I was shaking my boyfriend, trying to hide my tears. I guess I never expected Hershel to go so when it did happen I was in shock. I actually liked the Governor as the antagonist but after seeing what he did I couldn't help but cheer on as he got his comeuppance. Beautiful tribute
The Governor and Hershel are both different but they are also the same...they both started the apocalypse as a good man but becoming delusional BC they both thought walkers were not dead changed them. Hershel was fortunate he didn't stumble into leadership or he possibly could have turned out the same as the governor.

You picked up on some great quotes that I had totally forgotten. Watching Hershel throughout the seasons I can see now that he had totally changed! Radically. I mean I knew he wasn't the same, but looking back it's really put things in perspective. Great video.

I watched the mid season finale last night and I couldn't believe my eyes, I was shaking my boyfriend, trying to hide my tears. I guess I never expected Hershel to go so when it did happen I was in shock. I actually liked the Governor as the antagonist but after seeing what he did I couldn't help but cheer on as he got his comeuppance. Beautiful tribute
The Governor and Hershel are both different but they are also the same...they both started the apocalypse as a good man but becoming delusional BC they both thought walkers were not dead changed them. Hershel was fortunate he didn't stumble into leadership or he possibly could have turned out the same as the governor.
He was my favourite... I cried so much, and I did it again while I was watching this video. Good job, as always :)
