I'm seeing this video four years late, but still had to comment on how beautiful your assemblage box is! And also, I have so many bits and pieces of things my dad kept of my grandma's that I don't want to discard, but also don't know what to do with, and your video has now given me a big dose of inspiration! Thank you so much and God Bless!
Thank you for explaining and going through step by step, instead of rushing through so fast, like some of the video's people put on,where I live all I need is to walk down the road and collect bits and pieces, here they tend to throw rubbish on the streets rather than use a bin,so sad,if only they could watch your video and recycle there rubbish, but I will do it for them😀
It is sad when people don't care and trash our world. I am glad my video was helpful to you and I appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you Marilyn. : )
Hi Ina, im Gillian from South Africa , I absolutely love your work, it's so beautiful and your videos inspire me so much. Thanx for your lovely channel.
Hallo Gill and thank for your lovely comment. I am so pleased that you enjoy my channel .It makes me happy to know that my work inspires. I appreciate you taking time to comment. Talk to you soon again. : )
Thanks so very much Nadine. When i found the trike ,I knew that I wanted it for a focal point and so the little box idea came about and then the rest. I am glad you like the way it came out. : )
I like the fact that she is doing while talking!! Very good!! This piece is absolutely amazing!! I'm an artist working with mixed media as well as drawing and painting. This video has inspired me to make some assemblages like this! I just love this box!!
That is fabulous, Ina and so inspiring. I’m saving up all the bits and trinkets etc and asking my family to do the same for me. Thank you for sharing this amazing work. 👍❤️
Sounds like you caught the assemblage bug. LOL ..careful;...it's addictive. Ha Thank you so very much for your great comment and for exploring my channel . I so appreciate it and I am happy you like my art work. : )
Wow--what a brilliant idea! I've got loads of little doodads that I can't bear to throw away and this is a fabulous way of bringing them all together in one gorgeous piece!
Today you have again used particularly exciting elements. I rarely throw something away but your collection is even more diverse. The colors make everything a unity and I love your result again. A wonderful job. ❤👍 LG vom Tinchen
Danke Dir Tinchen.
Wow Ina... what a great collection of bits and pieces you have there. I finally cleaned up somewhat and now you brought out my hording instinct again.. lol. Your piece turned out great and very interesting to look at.
Ha.. well collecting small items like I use, does not take up too much space. I keep it down to a couple of shoe boxes, that's all. I wished I had the space to work bigger..I love junk sculpting etc. Thanks so much for your nice comment. I appreciate it. : )
Hi Ina, i have no idea where June went!!! No didn’t forget you😊, i could never do that. Anyway, i’m always amazed out how you turn “stuff” into such fun art. Love it. See you in July i hope. Hugs
No worries Kim. Glad you like this new addition to my assemblages. I would love to see you too. Family is already in town for the wedding,so it is busy around here too. If you are in the neighborhood, please call, maybe I am having a slow day and we can visit ,otherwise after the 17th or so. Big hugs to you.
Excellent project! I have been collecting objects for some time, but still wish to gather even more before jumping off into my next project. Happy hunting!
Glad you like this Kiki. Going back to our roots as gatherers and hunters (LOL) and then combine findings into art is a ton of fun. Give it a try. Thanks for your kind comment.
I LOVE this piece Ina, these assemblage pieces are always so interesting, it's amazing what black gesso and some rusty paint can do for a project. it's transformative!

I'm a mixed media artist and I'd LOVE to see your creative space and how you control your materials! My materials own me and keeping them organized is challenging. Love your videos!

@@InaSolsberyartroom je ne maitrise pas trop la langue anglaise mais votre video me permet de reviser et encore merci de nous faire partager vos talent bravo le seul petit soucis je ne jette plus rien mdr bonne continuation
Thank you so much Rose. E 6000 glues everything, Tacky Glue is ok on most pieces, but not metal, so rather than going back and forth between 2 glues I just stick with E 6000. : )
Hi Ina, this is so darn cute! I would like to do one of these with my 4 year old great-nephew with pieces of his old toys and some finds. I wonder if you have a suggestion for a safe glue for him. I wonder if PVC will work. Thanks for sharing your creative mind.
That sounds like a great idea. If most of his toys are plastic or wood, simple Elmer's glue or any other PVC glue might work,as long as you give it plenty time to dry. More metal you will have to use something stronger. E 6000 works great, but Auntie may have to handle that. Have fun with it. Thanks for liking this assemblage. : )
Incredible art! How long does it take to collect all the pieces to make it? I think I should have started years ago. Love it. Thanks for sharing with us.
i am so glad you like this. I have been collecting stuff for awhile, mostly broken jewelry , house hold things etc, but I needed more, in order to do these type of assemblages , So I frequent a very messy Thrift Store where everything is sold by weight. It's a goldmine for do-dats, toys etc. Thank you so very much for enjoying my art. : )
I do, but not exactly this TYPE of assemblage, more the "Cornell" inspired ones. Here are some links ua-cam.com/video/s0GsiZBlpXk/v-deo.html ....ua-cam.com/video/end7JMfhiY4/v-deo.html.....but even on those i love to use a little paint here and there, Thank you for asking and watching. : )

This is amazing!
So glad you like it. These assemblages are addictive to make LOL. If you are interested, check out my playlist for them. : )
Another wonderful project!. Is E6000 better than tacky glue? I thought I've seen you use that.
Thank you so much Rose. E 6000 glues everything, Tacky Glue is ok on most pieces, but not metal, so rather than going back and forth between 2 glues I just stick with E 6000. : )
fabulous!
Thank you very much Rebeca. : )
Love it!
So glad! Thank you very much.
My goodness I love this
Thank you very much. Please check out my newer assemblage work out as well, right here on my channel. : )
Do you ever leave the assemblage raw, in their original appearance?
I do, but not exactly this TYPE of assemblage, more the "Cornell" inspired ones. Here are some links ua-cam.com/video/s0GsiZBlpXk/v-deo.html ....ua-cam.com/video/end7JMfhiY4/v-deo.html.....but even on those i love to use a little paint here and there, Thank you for asking and watching. : )
Ina Solsbery thank you very much for the reply and links. I absolutely love your work! Will keep watching!
COOL !
Thank you very much. : )
FABULOUS
I appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you
Wonderful work, congratulations! This glue you use to glue the pieces is silicon, my friend? Kisses
Thank you very much. This glue :E 6000 is NOT silicon, but made for heavy crafting and repairs. : )
@@InaSolsberyartroom. would it be an instant glue or a contact patch ??
@@Ci121416Artes It's instant. : )
Do you sell your boxes?
Not yet Karen. I am working on an online shop.
I enjoy the piece. But next time crank up the lighting. I can barely see it. Thanks
I will try. Thank you Steve.
