Such a great series. Cornwell is the best. And this isn't even close to his best series or stand alone novel...well I guess that's subjective but still The Saxon Stories, The Warlord Chronicles series, The Grail Quest series and Stonehenge are prob my favorites of Bernard's. This isn't far behind though.
