I am a surgical tech and new graduate nurse!!! Heading straight to be an OR nurse!!! I remember a patient’s wife hearing me talk to a co-worker about wanting to be an OR nurse...she was a retired OR and explained to me that I could become an surgical tech and pursue nursing after that. Many years of being a surgical tech and completing nursing school I will soon start as an OR nurse!!
Hey how long was you a CST for before going back to school for nursing. My goal is to be an OR nurse I have a year left in CST school and I’m 24 , and I’m looking to talk to someone with a similar path
@@justinkemp1693 I was a tech for many years before finishing school. I started taking prerequisites after about a year of being a tech. My program was a certificate and not a degree like it is now. My path also took a bit longer due to life choices I made. Make sure you go at your own pace and no one else! It doesn’t matter how long you take to accomplish a goal as long as you finish it!
