This game does not get talked about enough but one summer I was spending at my grandmothers house in Puerto Rico country side with no A/C and I had no energy due to the heat to do anything and this game saved my life. I couldnt stop playing, I just kept going and going. It was genuinely addictive and so much fun. It kept me busy the entire time I was there.

Love this game, definitely my most played game on the 3ds, I’m at like 300hours and still have more stuff to do. Theres also a DLC that ads more content. On paper it sounds like a horrible game, its all fetch quests, quick time events, and repetitive gameplay but somehow it all comes together great
I liked level 5 and wanted to give it a go. My girlfriend liked the characters so I bought a copy for her. At that time she went in Japan for studies and we played this game online to be closer and doing something together. It was like playing with a person from the future (6 hours difference) and time managing was hard but it will be forever a core memory of ours. Not the perfect game, but was perfect for us.
Fantasy Life is an amazing game. It’s so addicting. I’ve beaten it twice and I keep thinking about doing it a third time and going for 100% completion.
@@ZapCristal Sorry for busting in on your conversation but I would absolutely get the DLC - you get tons of new stuff, new areas and quests so it is 100% worth the few dollars it costs - do it before the eshop goes away forever. It is one of the few DLCs that I've never regretted getting, it is just THAT good!

Now with new one coming to switch I am so excited! This game was so good and I cannot wait to see what they add in the switch version! I’m happy to see so much love for this game. I was in my mid-late 20s when this game came out and I almost lost my job I was so obsessed lol. But yeah it has so so much content because it has so many diff paths with the different careers. If you have the chance to play this old amazing game do it!!
Ahh if this ain't a nostalga trip and a half Got this as an impulse buy when I was 12 or so, and it's definitely stuck around as one of my most remembered games from the 3ds Good to see it's still being remembered
My sister introduced me to the game and she was describing it to me and i was like "well that doesn't sound to fun" but then she forced me to sit down and play it for at least an hour and i loved it so much i immediately apologized to her now i have 500+ hours in the game across 6 save files and i am no where close to stopping, me and my sisters favorite thing to do is to just go out and do star quests, or go fight the world bosses and it's just the perfect game and i see myself playing it for many more years
I love the almost MMO feel of it. The progression for all lives is perfect and the crafting is my favorite for any game ever!!~ Crafting is my favorite thing to do in games especially if I can gather my own materials. I would love if they made a larger more open version on Switch, or just port it over ^_^ I mean I'm still playing on 3DS but had to make a new character due to lost mSD card but I don't mind it's great to experience all over again ^_^
I love this game. I HIGHLY recommend playing every life in every playthrough. The lives all work together and use materials you get from the other lives. I always leveled them up together, and I found that it made the experience more fun.
this game is so good, the story mode is amazing, it’s one of the best ones i’ve ever played. i’m currently playing it again for the 5th time, it’s so addicting and you always have something to do!
Im tinding this a year too late but couldnt agree more. I have a couple hundred hours in this game over several different saves (young child deleted one 😢) but on a positive note!!!! We are getting a sequel to this in October on the Switch!!!!! Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time!!! Check it out! Looks fabtastic so far!
I somehow managed to convice my dad back in 2016/2017 to buy me this game at a local gamestop because it looked really cool...I played it to completion but never got the creator rank in the hunter class. I ended up trading the game to a friend of mine for Fire emblem Fates half a year later. I just bought the digital copy of the game + the DLC before the eshop closes for good...Spent around 60 bucks total for both the base game+DLC! (Which isn't bad considering that a physical copy of the game is around 64 dollars, YIKES.) You can imagine my surprise when i booted up the game and found that Luna (My first and only character on this game) was still there, all of her progress saved and everything! Im now trying to get the creator rank in the hunter life, which i guess is where i stopped playing? Still gotta beat the shadow bigbeak...Then its on to the DLC which i know nothing about! :D Im reliving a big part of my childhood with this, its a hidden gem that i adore to death and im honestly surprised noone else talks about it! Call me biased but i see no immediate flaws to the game, and a bunch of stuff that i wish i could do is covered in the DLC, albeit its extremely hard to obtain (Complete character makeover, for example.) But im sure is gonna be worth it! I just really wish Level-5 would stop canceling the other Fantasy life games likes "Fantasy life Online" or "True fantasy life online"... maybe one day we will get the well deserved sequel, hm? Or maybe they could just port this game over to the switch..Which would be equally as great. Maybe do a remastered version with better graphics? Idk, i just love this game so much and it deserves so much more. Sorry for rambling, if you read to the end of this and dont have the game, please get it and the DLC before the Eshop closes! Its such a great game and has hundreds of hours worth of stuff to do! Its really hard to put down and all of the characters are so diverse and unique, plus the story is just *chef kiss*. I got a lot of great games, I had a wonderful time playing my DS/3DS but I have to say that Fantasy Life is my favorite. I was very impressed by the content and the cuteness of this game. I'm still hoping for another FL on the Switch, whether it's a remake or brand new game. Probably won't happen though.
Not gonna lie, when I had vacation, the game actually made me play 15 - 18 hours a day. Have 3 complete files lncluding DLC and a total playtime of 700 hours now

Have you ever played the Tak and the Power of Juju trilogy on GameCube? Tak and the Power of Juju Tak 2 the Staff of Dreams and Tak the Great Juju Challenge! There amazing 3D platformers that have amazing gameplay stories music characters writing and and voice acting and heart! If so you should definitely try to review them! I know there older games but more people need to see how incredible they are! Tak was on THQNordic list of remakes and they definitely deserve a remake! Keep up the great work!

I got SUCKED into this game for MONTHS and even after putting it down would pick it back up again. Id probably still be playing if not for the sorry state of my good ol launch model 3DS. Absurd amount of content and replay value for a 3DS game. Overlooked and I would kill for a good switch port that shores up some of the weaker classes and adds some extra content

Even after all that I’m not completely sure what kind of game this is. Seems closer to Animal Crossing than Final Fantasy. I like FF and other JRPGs and I like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley etc but I never for whatever reason got that into Animal Crossing so I’m not sure if this game is for me or not.
i love this game but haven't played it in a long time. when it came out the multiplayer was useless, you could only really visit each others world and couldn't do quests with each other. i had bought a 3ds and this game just to play with my gf and multiplayer was a super let down. that may have changed or updated.
FYI the Nintendo eshop is going to stop supporting 3DS in March this year. Also, there's an online petition to have this game added to the Switch system.
