- Hey guys! So I broke my edible printer (UGH) and had to order a new one. So I got one from the Icing Images website. In this video, I unbox it so you can see what is included in the purchase.

The price for a new system is outrageous right now ($400). Do you think I can purchase this same printer separately from the paper, inks and refills? Or is the printer that they send preinstalled with some special software?
Unfortunately because of COVID, everything has increased in price. It freakin stinks. You can absolutely look around and see if you can find the printer cheaper elsewhere. Just make sure it is brand new, not refurbished.

I haven't used the cricut with it, I am sure I'll eventually get around to that!

I noticed on their site that they have a wide format option. Will this printer be able to print images for round cakes? Love your channel by the way!!

I believe so, but I'm not 100% sure. So I would recommend contacting them directly to make sure that it does.

Hi, Crystal! You may have your answer already. But all of the printers print round images. The large format printer allows you to print on sheets up to large full sheet cake size sheets, maybe 11x17ish.

The printers that they offer vary depending on what is in stock. However, they use Canon printers, which all operate basically the same way. I hope that helps!
Hi do you need to use a certain laptop(such as apple instead of samsung) to use iprint?
I believe you can do it from a MAC or a PC. I actually have a PC and use Microsoft Word and haven’t had a problem. But they do recommend using iPrint to print the images so I would try that first.
Are you still using this system? I thought I saw you using a Canon Printer? Which one do you prefer and why?
I got this system after my other printer clogged and I couldn't fix it. This is also a Canon printer. This one works just as well (even better) than the other one I had. And the other one, I believe that model was discontinued, so it was really expensive to replace. The all-in-one printer packages from Icing Images are great!
@@KarolynsKakes I had been looking at them for a while and have just about decided to invest it. Some of my other baker colleagues don't like their software.
Can you refill the cartridges or you have to purchase new cartridges every time ?
It's recommended to refill the cartridges 3 times, then you have to use new ones as the sponges dry out faster with the edible ink.
