I find it impossible to believe anyone could listen to December Flower and not then listen to the rest of the album straight away
Because of the channel we normally keep options open so we can do videos like these, otherwise we couldn't. If we ever do a video of a song either one of us knows we disclaim that at the start of the video.

Old In Flames are soooo good. They became worse after Clayman. I want to recommend Ordinary Story by In Flames.

I discovered "in flames" with this album at Virgin Megastore Champs Élysée in Paris !! good memory !!
I think from 1996-2004, In flames was the best metal band in the world.
This has to be the most interesting break down of this song that I've heard during my 16-year-old fandom tenure of In Flames.

I'm a simple man, I see In Flames, I click.
By far my favorite album. Have listened to hit from beginning to end more than i can count. Saw these guys lives multiple times from the late 90's to the mid 200's. Forever have their old logo tattooed on my bicep. Glad you guys are checking this stuff out its amazing.
Sometimes I will just play jester race or whoracle on Spotify as a lullaby to go to sleep

I don;t much like 'melodic death metal', but this track I think is absolutely one of the best
Jester Race is the pinnacle of melodeath for the noodly stuff. Carcass for the more death metally side. But Moonshield is one of the greatest songs written.

The 4 albums of The Jester Race to Clayman are the best 4 albums in a row by a metal band. The only maybe better 4 are Kill Em All to And Justice For All by Metallica.

I remember one day in Oslo in Flames came in to a seven eleven after a gig when I was there, I recomended a hot dog with bacon around it and some of the guys tried and liked it, long time ago.. But you guys if you like Sabaton you have to react to Civil war - rule the universe! Some of the Guys from Old Sabaton is playing in that band and great song!

December Flower is rarely played live. The footage I have seen of it, the beautiful solo has been removed. :'(
The solo on December Flower was a guest solo and the In Flames guitarists just can't pull it off, that's a very inspiring technical melodic solo, certainly one of the best in the genre.
On the album the solo was recorded by Fredrik Johansson (Dimension Zero) but the actual guitarists of the band weren't that technical and probably didn't bother to learn it.
@@jerekarppinen Yep that's so right, back in the 90's I was looking to hear more from Fredrick Johansson because I was stunned by this solo but Fredrick just played in one other metal record and indeed it was an EP by Dimension Zero back in 1997. Jesper is a wonderful melody/riff songwriter but not the guy who will pull off that kind of solo.

This is when In Flames we're an excellent band, such pity they are now just crappy sellouts..
I think they are not necessarilly sell outs, they just lost interest in making the same type of sound they did in the 90´s, which is sad. They turned from leaders to followers.
@@mindtraveller100 I can't really think of a band that In Flames is following, soundwise. They may not make music you enjoy anymore, but I really don't think they are emulating anyone else.
