    Finally, at last, a home, not just a house.
    Everything has been carefully considered therefore cohesive to fit the style. The property is light and bright as we come to expect for our modern houses, whilst still keeping all the beautiful countryside features and encapsulating the owner's personal style.

    There are differences, but this really looks like an American house, especially from the Northeastern coast, where there are quite a few older homes, some with a lot of English influence, and that blue and white coastal style is popular. Right down to the "Martha's Vineyard" sign in the kitchen.

    That’s one hell of a gap around the front door - what a draught you’d get, and with no internal doors, it would be a bugger to heat. Still, they could always throw another handbag on the fire 😂

    The house looks more like a show room, for all the artwork.
    It feels a bit too perfect to have that genuine warm home-like feeling, if you ask me.

      I agree. I thought it looked like a a shabby chic gift shop. The outside was so beautiful. But the inside.... it needed to have more unique pieces of furniture. Like an antique high-backed leather chair, side tables (that aren't white)... furniture that has history and tells a story. 🤔

    I'm a Londoner that now lives in the U.S. We have houses like this all over the NE of the U.S, especially Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Jersey. They are called 'colonial' style houses and it's so odd to see this style in London. I can't get over the astro turf though and multiple Birkin bags!! Decor is too 'themey' for me.

When friends and family visit me in the USA from England, they comment on these houses with siding being a style they've never seen either. Glad we have common ground on the astro turf!

    This home looks so incredible from outside. I like the color scheme, very Tunisian town Sidi Bou Said but I think the interior is a bit of cramped and busy. Perhaps that's the reason that the Hollywood A-listor liked it but didn't go through didn't go through with the deal.

    • @221b-Maker-Street
      @221b-Maker-Street Рік тому

      The 'cramped busyness' doesn't come with the house! That's a decorating choice. It won't have been the reason the A-lister eventually declined - unless they're someone with zero imagination as to what the house would look like empty.

    Looks very crowded. Too much stuff when you walk in. Less is more would look great it will look like spacious, too much stuff makes the space looks small. i Say this as I have similar home a 1904 Victorian villa and it looks and feels so spacious as the rooms are not crowded, plus I got a high ceiling as well, although I think my house is a little bit bigger than this house but still letting go of some stuff would look spacious in this house.

    Nice house. Can you imagine how much it would've cost in say, the 60's or 70's? Regular people would've had a shot at it, but not now. The earth is way over-populated & only the uber wealthy can afford to live the way middle class people used to have a real chance at.

    What a wonderful cottage! It’s perfect for what it is, can’t find fault with it…except for the astroturf in the garden, hate the stuff! If this were mine I’d rip it out and put real grass instead. Still, it doesn’t effect the wonderfulness of this property. I also like the nautical theme used through out much of the home too. Even if it maybe a bit of an odd choice for a house in the middle of London 🤷‍♂️ anyway, I think this might be my favorite property toured on this channel so far 👍

    Love this property! If I had a cool $4,100,000.00 CDN sitting around, I'd seriously consider latching on to it. Near the beginning of the video, when they were showing the back garden area, I heard a comment - 'low maintenance'. I'm assuming they were referring to something OTHER than 'the grounds', as the greenery on this property would need a lot of attention to keep it looking as it does in this video. For someone who loves gardening, or who can afford to pay a gardener, this would be the place for them! The only thing I would change is the 'inside' windows on the bathrooms...don't like the idea of someone being able to see me "do my business". Thanks for posting this video! 😊

I am a nook and cranny type of person.The little office space should have been explored too.Oddly enough I am not a boaty fan or all those flower paintings but somehow all that doesn't annoy me as it normally would. lol Blue was never a color I liked all that much, but again whoever decorated this lovely home really did it so well that again it doesn't annoy me. The blue trim outside I would have to change to a really nice and light sage green. The outside blue just irks me...The inside is fantastic with all the different shapes of rooms, etc.

    My new favorite house on this channel. It's so warm and cozy. You get the best of both worlds being near the city but a country feel. Most luxury homes are so bland in color and full of cold feeling finishings. Not this one! I can't believe the massive birkin collection or the fact that they're just hanging from hooks. Those bags at the very least should be on a bookshelf, not stretching out the handles on a hook.

    • @RRaymer
      @RRaymer Рік тому +1

      Yes, property in Britain generally is more expensive then Canada, and also stamp duty has to be paid after the purchase price which will make this house above 3 million Canadian dollars. And normally, furnishings are not included in the price, though some sellers might include them in negotiations but it’s rare.

    Looks like a house you’d see from the United States.

    It has a lot of charm but very chopped up as many period houses are. Plus I don’t think any of the fireplaces are working. The spaces are really too small for entertaining except the garden which is lovely ❤️
