Native hardtop ultra seem to be good sunglasses. They fit good with a hat on and they have a venting system. I find with my face shield on wile fishing my cheap sunglasses can fog up. I just need to figure out which color lenses to get to match the water I fish. I do like the oakleys lens system that helps take the guess work out of it it tells you the type of water the lenses are made for.
As a fellow with a generous noggin currently shopping these specific brands- (site unseen) this was the perfect resource...Appreciate you trying them on 2 face types...thank you very much gents!!!
He said he likes the guides choice better.. they're the darn near perfect fishing glass.. I still wear RCI optics but the guides choice are just fantastic fishing/boating shades.
How does the Costa Permit compare in size to the Oakley Turbines? The Turbines I have worn for years and can never find another brand that fits this well. TIA
Hey! Just ordered a pair of oakley Holbrook metal but i cant really stand that i get sunlight in my eyes from both sides of The glasses, really thinking about sending them back and order a pair of Costa del mar permit! What do u guys think about them? Compared to The tuna ones? :) can u link The glasses that Rob weres in this clip? Really like them! Thanks
Hey Jonathan! Both the Permit and Tuna Alley are top sellers for us. If we have to give the edge it'll be the Tuna Alley. It has everything you want in a pair of fishing sunglasses and its been a top seller for a couple years now. In this video, Rob is rocking the Costa Rincon which is more of a lifestyle pair of sunglasses that can be used on the boat. Please let us know if we can help with anything else www.sportrx.com/costa-tuna-alley.html www.sportrx.com/costa-rincon.html
Nines all day best bang for the buck and best lens technology. I’ve had all of the big name brands. You can’t beat nines lenses and they are half the price of costas yet a superior product hands down!
You should go with the Maui Blue Hawaii lens! We are happy to help if you need any. You can reach one of our knowledgeable, friendly opticians at 888-831-5817 www.sportrx.com/maui-jim-peahi.html
I've had 5 pairs of Oakley sunglasses. I like the fit of their frames. But they're lenses are crap. They scratch too easy and start peeling after a short time. I'm looking at going for a pair of Costa with glass lenses.
Hey Salty Steel! Thanks for commenting. In the past which Oakley's have fit you the best? This will allow me to recommend some Costa frames that have similar sizing.
I've had my Oakleys for almost 3 years and I've never had any problem the lenses peeling. As a matter of fact I've used Costa's and Oakley's and with Oakleys Prizm lenses I can notice a noticeable difference and advantage in color and detail in comparison to non Prizm lenses
