    So sorry to goof up your analytics. I had to re-watch this four times to gather my composure -- Grace simply annihilated my attention span haha. I'm sad she isn't a west coast Cali model in LA or SF :(
    I think to add to a rock-solid basket of tips here, I think that every amateur photographer should work with a professional model like Grace as soon as they are able -- it's really mind blowing how many more of the shots will end up being keepers (almost the opposite ratio of working with someone that is a newer or completely inexperienced model), and the shoot is always much more collaborative with a pro!
    But seriously, keep it up -- jokes aside, this is clearly and observably your best video yet -- editing, content, location, and model are all so on point!

    • @JoshKoby

    Great tips man! I'd like to add on to your last tip there for people starting to work with models you can use a mirror so you can see yourself doing a pose that you want to model to do. And it should go without being said but NEVER touch the model. Even if you mean it in no way its just something you don't do. 🤘

    • @JoshKoby
      @JoshKoby  Місяць тому

      Yes and YES! Agreed completely. You should never assume that you can physically interact with your model. IF you feel that it is absolutely necessary, then you always need to ask before doing. The mirror tip is amazing!

    A lot of great tips. Maybe you should have added a section nine. How music can make your shooting way more easy. Music helps models to feel what mood they should express. It is another leading line which gives them orientation, and makes life as a photographer easier, because you don't have to explain a mood if the music does the job already.

    • @JoshKoby
      @JoshKoby  23 дні тому

      Yup, she is Calvin Kline material for sure. Have a good one.

    • @77dris
      @77dris Місяць тому

      Not true. The model doesn't make a photo. The photographer makes a photo, along with help from the model. I've seen plenty of good looking models, even ones with lots of experience, look "meh" because the photographer didn't do his job.

    • @lensman5762
      @lensman5762 Місяць тому

      @@77dris Come on man, if a so called photographer is not compentent, then all bets are off, new model or super model. I have been in this game for over 55 years. The advice to new photographers wanting to shoot fashion, nude, glamour, or any of their derivatives has always been to start with an experienced model in the beginning. A pro model has probably more experienced than most photographers, because she constantly works with a variety of photographers with different expectations and standards. She would be in a good position to guide an inexperienced photographer and make the shot. This has nothing to do with looks of the model or the body or age. A lot of inexperienced photographers constantly try to ' direct ' the model. Most pro models hate this. Best to let the model get on with the job and just try and isolate those moments that make that money shot.

    • @77dris
      @77dris Місяць тому

      @@lensman5762 I agree with this statement. However, I don't agree with your original post because it makes it sound like anybody with a camera can take great photos with a model of this calibre. If that is not what you meant, then I misunderstood.

    Quick question, how do you get a model? I'm a pretty shy guy and I'm a complete beginner, I did photo shots of cars and other things, but I have NO experience with people. So how do I get someone to work with? Are there websites for it or should I just go for a walk and ask if I could take a portrait of them?

    Step 1) have insanely gorgeous models
    Step 2) have them exist in front of your camera
    Step 3) press shutter

    Whenever we talk about posing, we always come across advice on how someone who is attractive should pose. I am morbidly obese, and I would like to record short video clips that I would sell to various platforms that use it, I am interested in how a morbidly obese person should pose to convey the feeling of pain, discomfort, suffering of sadness, depression, and similar feelings. Could you make video about that?

    IF YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL AND PHOTOGENIC MODEL, HALF OF THE WORK IS DONE! IT'S LIKE GOING TO OREGON OR COLORADO TO SHOOTING LANDSCAPING.

    • @JoshKoby
      @JoshKoby  Місяць тому +1

      Agreed! But, going to Oregon or Colorado as a inexperienced photographer may not give the landscapes justice! It is always a tag team effort.

    Step 1: Work with a pretty model.
    Step 2: If she's a model, she already knows how to pose

    • @JoshKoby
      @JoshKoby  Місяць тому

      Both are very helpful steps yes, but you also need to be working with a photographer that knows what they are doing! There are two sides to any portrait. The photography AND the model.

    As most of the marriages in the past 30 years are purely materialistic and not based on love and physical attraction beauty became rarity. Grace's DNA should be preserved as a national treasure.

    Honestly, there is literally nothing you need with posing. NOT TODAY.
    Model has to be sexy and young, or you can sell your equipment. She can pose by herself as she feel it. Just let her undress a litlle.
    Period.

    photographers are so cringe. how many more of these "model" shoots do we need to do? When is it clear you're all just creeps

    • @JoshKoby
      @JoshKoby  25 днів тому +2

      It's unfortunate that you automatically associate a male shooting with a female model showing her body and figure off as a creepy move, when really that association has only come about because of a few select photographers that, yes, have abused their role as a photographer and have crossed lines. One of my favourite genres of photography is to shoot the female form. I personally think it is one of the most naturally beautiful things on this planet. Does that inherently make me a creep? I personally don't think so. In fact, I believe I'm honouring the beauty of the female form regardless of their size, skin tone, ethnicity, or any other reason. If you believe that this is a creepy move, then please don't consume my videos on this topic. But I know for a fact that what I am doing is showing respect to the female body. Thank you!

    Such click bait, all these how-to videos with hot models. Bunch of thirsty photographers masking their horniness as expertise. And I'm not judging, I did it too.

  • @TheSantaRoma
    @TheSantaRoma 21 день тому

    Well... Thanks for this. But... shooting a professional model is quite an easy stuff - she is perfect at any angle. Your task is to be gentle enough to not ruin her mood and be quick at pushing the trigger.
    Try shooting an ordinary women who don't know how to sit or stand. And almost all of them know their "parts which are way not perfect" and shy showing them to you at all. The challenge is to unlock their image and find something which they will be at least not shy to accept.
