this one I read but haven't confirmed yet by comparing to other aircraft at the time, is that the Bristol beaufighter was the first plane designed with RADAR in mind or one of the variants were designed with RADAR installation as apart of the base design instead of something added later on.
It is important to note that while Frank Whittle first had the idea, the German jet development was independent from it because it was kept under tight locks by the military and Hans Papst von Ohain came to a very similar conclusion on how to power modern planes in the early 30s without knowing of Whittle's work. Part of the reason why German jet engines are notably different in design, they are axial to the British radial variant. The US never equipped Sabres with Missiles, only export versions got them as the US had already moved on to more modern planes or planned to. The first use of Sidewinders was by Taiwanese Sabres in a conflict with PRC China.

Even if the breaktroughs are old or seem insignificant today, some pre-World-War-2 aircraft designs made a huge impact for history and aircraft development. We also have one of the first gunship helicopters, UH-1 "Huey", which lead to the development of one of the first dedicated attack helicopters, AH-1 Cobra.
Just a side note here on the Sabre. The F-86 was easily able to break Mach 1 in a dive. The importance of the F-100 Super Sabre was being able to break the sound barrier in level flight. I've read arguments (Sourced from the Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine) that indicated George Welch to be the first Supersonic pilot, before Chuck Yeager, in the F-86 prototype. Whether he actually did or not is not clear, and will probably be forever a mystery.
I think the X4 deserves a little more credit. Especially when you elaborate on how you decided to include the aircraft you did, ie. produced en masse and designed for that purpose. The X4 certainly checks both of those boxes. Saying it wasn't "operational" is really nitpicky and (possibly false depending on how you categorize firing "tests" at enemy aircraft) is usually only brought up when two designs enter service at similar times. In this case, there is almost a decade between the two.
It'd be also welcome to discuss design innovations that get a bit less of a spotlight, such as radio guided precision munitions developments out of Japan and the US (such as the sea-skimming anti-ship Ki-147 and Ki-148, or the surface to air radio proximity fusing Funryu for Japan, and the guided bombs AZON and BAT for the US), aerial torpedo designs such as the Type 91 and mark 13 might also be worth spotlighting, as extremely shallow run torpedoes and stabilizing fins and boxes dramatically improved drop speed, altitude, and reliability, allowing for notably improved strike performance. As far as additional firsts to consider, there's the first all-metal carrier borne aircraft of the A5M, while not as glamorous, I believe certainly worth noting for showcasing the global trend towards more advanced carrier aircraft.
First ALL METAL aircraft (excluding control surfaces), THAT is the most important breakthrough of all. More streamlined, more durable, and would not rot and turn into compost in 2 years. It was only in early 1930's mass production of all metal aircraft was possible. In game the first built is most likely the French Dewoitine D.371.

Also Americans Sabre has no missiles in game
Maybe they re getting some next patch?

One of the most useful war thunder video.
Whoever is narrating deserves a raise.
When you don't know how to deal with ground targets so you strap a 75mm cannon onto your plane

This is why I consider Argentine military tech tree a good option for war thunder.
The list below is made by me from my humble knowledge considering aircraft and tanks that
are innovation for the video game and others that are already created. Added to this list,
Argentina would integrate well the list of countries due to its conflict over the Malvinas Islands
with Great Britain and because it did not add maps of it to the game. Argentine aeronautical
history is highly respected throughout the world and it proved its ability when it had to.
Of course I may have forgotten about other military instruments that may be suitable for the
game.

Day 6: Bring back the Maus!
The maus is bad
@@vaguevtx5090 no its not
@@brimstone1355 it is. It's only strengths are armor and gun, it's gun is inconsistent and it's armor is vulnerable to to common heat projectiles. It's slower than 99% of tanks and bigger than 99% of tanks. It cannot maneuver and thus, is easy pickings for any plane.
The maus will not ever be added back because it simply can’t be balanced
Bring back the maus ;(
Better than the tank firsts. Still find it confusing you didn't note the M3 medium tank for the stabilizer part when it is in game , modelled with it, and the direct predecessor to both in reality and in WT.
Also great to see honorable mentions of vehicles not quiet in game yet though I must say: When can we expect the British night fighter Blenheims, Mosquitos, and Beaufighters? Perhaps someday. I am still impressed overall with all the creative use of skins and vehicles to represent ones not in game (US Sabre with Sidewinders, Pola as Roma, Me 262 with a rocket to represent a missile, etc)
It is only a pity that not a single American Sabre does not have sidewinder rockets: /
Facts such a revolutionary missile
Gajin could you please have a look at the repair costs on some vehicles it doesn’t balance them it just ruins playing them e.g Mig21Bis, Tu4, b29
Bruh the bis deserves that repair cost its so good
Also it’s an ai that does rep cost
It was so cool when the other plane flew above when plane 1 was hovering

I’d really love to see an American Kite-plane. I was thinking the f-106 Delta Dart would be pretty cool.
There was also the BF 109 that was the first aircraft to use fuel injection rather than the standard carburetor.
I’d love to see experimental single missions, say flying the X-1 past Mach 1 stuff like that
Here's something you missed. The Northrop F-5 was not only used by China, it was a very popular export fighter in use by many nations
Hey, Bruce!
Will the germans someday get Ruhrstahl X-4? Would be cool

Ohain designed an engine which was different to that of Whittles design, not only that he got it into the air first using a Heinkel airframe. Whittle's design was more complicated, look at the Jumo 004 and then at Whittle's engine, the German design was sleeker and produced more power.
I think harriers were a great advanced for figther planes and also missiles are really important

can bombers get a higher starting altitude? really hating to spend 10 mins climbing to have my tail shot off in 1/4 sec and cant get outta my spawn... the fighters can climb too fast
Turbo compressor jet engines were not invented by the British, in the first patent for an axial flow turbojet was made in France in 1921 by Maxime Guillaume. Though the concept was already known and proposed around all Europe.
